[Machine] "What has brought you here?" I said, "Seeking knowledge." He said, "Shall I not give you good news?" And he narrated the hadith to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "Verily, the angels lower their wings in satisfaction for the seeker of knowledge, for what he seeks." And he mentioned the hadith.
[Machine] "I visited during the Caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan, and I was only motivated to visit by the meeting with Ubayy ibn Ka'b and the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So, I met Safwan ibn Assal and said to him, 'Did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?' He replied, 'Yes, and I participated with him in twelve battles.'"
[Machine] "We used to be with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he would order us not to remove our underwear for three days except for sexual impurity. However, it could be removed for defecation, urine, and sleep. Then, a Bedouin with a loud voice came and said, 'O Muhammad, a man loves his people, but he does not join them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A person will be with those whom he loves.'"
"A Jew said to his companion: 'Let us go to this Prophet.' His companion said to him: 'Do not say Prophet; if he hears you, he will become big-headed.' So they came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and asked him about nine clear signs. He said to them: 'Do not associate anything with Allah, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not kill any soul whom Allah has forbidden you to kill, except by right, do not speak falsely about an innocent man before a ruler, do not engage in magic, do not consume Riba (usury), do not slander chaste women, and do not flee on the day of the march (to battle). And for you Jews especially, do not break the Sabbath.' They kissed his hands and feet and said: 'We bear witness that you are a Prophet.' He said: 'What is keeping you from following me?' They said: 'Dawud prayed that there would always be a Prophet among his descendants, and we are afraid that if we follow you, the Jews will kill us.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4078)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whenever someone leaves their home in search of knowledge, the angels lower their wings in approval of what they are doing." He was asked about wiping over the socks. He replied, "Yes, I was amongst the army that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent, and he commanded us to wipe over our socks three times, for cleanliness, during travel for up to three days and nights, and during staying in a place for one day and one night. We do not take them off except when in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah)." He also said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is a gate open for repentance in the west, the distance of a journey of seventy years, which will not be closed until the sun rises from the west.'"

[Machine] We sent the messenger of Allah, ﷺ , on an expedition. He said, "March in the name of Allah, in the cause of Allah, to fight against the enemies of Allah. Do not be excessive, do not kill children, and for the traveler, there are three days and nights in which he wipes over his feet when he enters them in a state of purity. And for the resident, there is a day and a night."
“I came to Safwan bin ʿAssal Al Muradi to ask him about wiping over the Khuff, so he said: ‘What has brought you, O Zirr?’ So I said: ‘The desire for knowledge.’ So he said: ‘Indeed, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge, out of pleasure with what he is seeking.’ So I said: ‘Indeed there is some doubt in my chest concerning wiping over the Khuff after defecation and urination, and you were a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, so I came to you to ask you: Have you heard him ﷺ mention anything concerning that?’ He said: ‘Yes, he ﷺ used to order us, that when we were travelers’ - or - ‘in travel, to not remove our Khuff for three days and nights except, from sexual impurity, but not from defecation, urination, and sleep.’” He said: “Have you heard him ﷺ mention anything concerning love?” He said: “Yes. We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when a Bedouin with a loud voice called upon him (saying): ‘O Muhammad!’ So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded to him with a voice similar to him (saying): ‘Come.’ So we said to him: ‘Lower your voice for you are with the Prophet ﷺ, and you have been prohibited from this.’ He said: ‘By Allah, I will not lower (my voice).’ The Bedouin said: ‘A man loves a people but he is not with them (in terms of deeds)?’ He ﷺ said: ‘A man is with whomever he loves on the Day of Judgement.’” So he did not cease talking with us, until he mentioned a gate in the direction of the west with the width of seventy years journey - or a rider would travel its width - for forty or seventy years.” Sufyan (one of the narrators) said: “In the direction of Ash-Sham, Allah created it the Day He created the heavens and the earth, open - that is, for repentance. It shall not be locked until the sun rises through it.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3535)

[Machine] "A man from the Jews said to another, 'Come with us to this prophet. Do not say anything, for if he hears you, he will have four eyes.' So they went to him and asked him about this verse, 'And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs' (Quran 17:101). He responded, 'Do not associate anything with Allah, do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right, and do not commit theft, fornication, flee from fighting in battle, practice sorcery, consume interest, do not deceive an innocent person to harm him, and it is upon you, O Jews, not to transgress on the Sabbath.' They said, 'We bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah.'"

[Machine] We sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a secret mission and he mentioned a story similar to the story of Prophet Yunus.
[Machine] What brought you here? I said, "Seeking knowledge." He said, "I have heard that the angels lower their wings in approval of the seeker of knowledge." Then he mentioned the hadith and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A person will be with those whom he loves." He said, "Since then, he kept narrating to me until he mentioned that Allah has made a gate in the west, the width of which is a journey of seventy years, for repentance, and it will not be closed until the sun rises from its setting place. And that is the saying of Allah: 'On the Day when some of the signs of your Lord will come, belief will not benefit a soul that did not believe before.' [Al-An'am 158]. This is the hadith of Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah.
