"I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was praying, and greeted him with Salam. He returned my greeting with a gesture, or maybe it was just with his finger." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1186)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever cheats a woman in her marriage dowry, and Allah knows that he has no intention of fulfilling it, he has deceived her in the eyes of Allah, and he has unlawfully engaged in sexual relations with her. He will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment while being an adulterer. And whoever takes someone's belongings unjustly as a debt, and Allah knows he has no intention of repaying it, he has deceived him in the eyes of Allah, and he will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment as a thief."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to move his lips in a certain way during the Battle of Hunayn, which he had never done before. He then said, "Indeed, there was a prophet among those who came before you, and his nation pleased him. He said, 'These people will not experience any harm, and so Allah revealed to him that he should give them the choice between one of three things: either they would face an enemy from outside, whom they would defeat, or they would face hunger, or they would face death.' They said, 'We can't bear killing or hunger, but death we can bear.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'So he died, along with seventy thousand others.' Then he said, 'Now I say, O Allah, I make attempts and rely on You, and I fight for Your sake.'"

the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, "˹How˺ wondrous is the affair of a believer: for there is good in every affair of his, while that is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer: ˹i.e.,˺ if times of ease strike him, he is grateful which is good for him; and if times of distress strike him, he is patient, which is ˹also˺ good for him."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, they will be called: O people of Paradise, indeed you have an appointment with Allah, a appointment that you have not seen, so they will say: And what is it? Have our faces not been whitened, and have we not been saved from the Fire, and have we not been admitted to Paradise? He ﷺ said: Then the veil will be removed, and they will look at Him, and by Allah, Allah will not give them anything that is more beloved to them than looking at Him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse: "For those who have done good is the best and extra." [Surah Yunus, 10:26]

ahmad:18936ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Mahdī > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylaʿan Ṣuhayb

from the Prophet ﷺ, regarding the saying of Allah Most High: And for those who have done good is the best and even more (10:26) - He ﷺ said: "When the inhabitants of Paradise have entered Paradise a caller will call out: 'Indeed there remains for you a promise with Allah, and He wants to reward you with it.' They will say: 'Have your faces not been made bright, have we not been saved from the Fire, and have we not been admitted into Paradise?'" He said: "So the Veil will be lifted." He said: "By Allah! Nothing given to them [by Allah] will be more beloved to them than looking at Him." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3105)

ahmad:18937ʿAffān from Kitābih > Sulaymān / Ibn al-Mughīrah > Thābit > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá > Ṣuhayb

[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to pray, he would whisper something that we could not understand, and he would not inform us about it. So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'Did you notice that?' A person said, 'Yes.' The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'Indeed, I mentioned a prophet from among the prophets who was granted soldiers from his people?' He said, 'So who is equal to these or who stands up for these or a word similar to this?' Sulaiman was doubted. Allah, the Exalted, revealed to him to choose for his people one of three: either to be afflicted with an enemy from other than them, or hunger, or death.' He said, 'So he consulted his people about it, and they said, 'You are the Prophet of Allah. So it is up to you to decide. So pride for us.' He said, 'So he stood up for his prayer, and they used to be terrified when they hurried to the prayer. He said, 'So he prayed. He said, 'As for an enemy from other than them, no. And as for hunger, no. But death.' He said, 'So death was inflicted upon them for three days, and seventy thousand of them died. My whispering that you see me say, 'O Lord, I fight for You and I strive, and there is no power or strength except with Allah."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to move his lips after the Fajr prayer with something we did not see him doing before. So we said, "O Messenger of Allah, we see you doing something that you did not do before. What is it that moves your lips?" He said, "Indeed, a prophet among those who came before you was amazed by the large number of his followers, so he said, 'These people will not be harmed by anything.' So Allah revealed to him to give his nation one of three choices: either He would send upon them an enemy from outside to dominate them, or He would send upon them a severe famine, or He would send upon them death, so they consulted among themselves and said, 'We cannot bear an enemy, nor can we bear hunger, but death, so death was sent upon them and seventy thousand of them died within three days.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Now, since they have become numerous, O Allah, I strive by You, I wrestle by You, and I fight by You.'"

[Machine] "For Suhayb, if it were not for three qualities in you, there would not be anything wrong with you." He asked, "What are they?" The Prophet replied, "By Allah, we do not see anything blameworthy in you." He said, "The first is that you are associated with your father, Yahya, even though you do not have any children. The second is that you call upon Al-Namir bin Qasit, even though you are a man known for your silence. And the third is that you do not hold onto wealth." He said, "As for being associated with my father, Allah's messenger ﷺ called me by that name, so I will not abandon it until I meet him. As for calling upon Al-Namir bin Qasit, I am one of them, but I was breastfed by a she-camel, so this nickname comes from that. And as for wealth, do you see me spending except in a rightful manner?"
