[Machine] Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, mentioned to us a prayer that we performed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Either we forgot it or intentionally left it. He used to say Allahu akbar every time he bowed, prostrated, and when he raised up.
The Jews used to try to sneezes in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ hoping that he would say to them: "Allah have mercy on you!" but he would say: May Allah guide you and grant you well-being! (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5038)
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah does not sleep, and it is not befitting that He should sleep. He lowers the Scales and raises them. His Veil is Light, and if He were to remove it, the glory of his Face would burn everything of His creation, as far as His gaze reaches.' " Then Abu 'Ubaidah recited the verse: 'Blessed is whosoever is in the fire, (i.e. the light of Allah) and whosoever is round about it! And Glorified is Allah, the Lord of all that exists." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 196)
I came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and thought that 'Abdullah was amongst the members of the family, or like that. (Using translation from Muslim 2460c)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "There is no one who patiently endures any harm inflicted upon him by Allah, while people invoke blessings and seek forgiveness for him, and he bestows upon them offspring, good health, and sustenance."
[Machine] "That a brother of Abu Musa used to hasten in discord, so he (Abu Musa) started advising him, but he did not stop. So he (Abu Musa) said: 'If I find that a little bit of admonition or preaching will be enough for you from me, or if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When two Muslims confront each other with their swords, and one of them kills the other, then both the killer and the one killed will be in the Fire.' It was said: 'The killer is known, but what about the one killed?' He said: 'He wanted to kill his companion.'"
We were sitting with Abu Musa Al-Ash'sari, and as there were ties of friendship and mutual favors between us and his tribe. His meal was presented before him and there was chicken meat in it. Among those who were present there was a man from Bani Taimillah having a red complexion as a non-Arab freed slave, and that man did not approach the meal. Abu Musa said to him, "Come along! I have seen Messenger of Allah ﷺ eating of that (i.e., chicken)." The man said, "I have seen it (chickens) eating something I regarded as dirty, and so I have taken an oath that I shall not eat (its meat) chicken." Abu Musa said, "Come along! I will inform you about it (i.e., your oath). Once we went to Messenger of Allah ﷺ in company with a group of Ash'airiyin, asking him for mounts while he was distributing some camels from the camels of Zakat. (Aiyub said, "I think he said that the Prophet was in an angry mood at the time.") The Prophet ﷺ said, 'By Allah! I will not give you mounts, and I have nothing to mount you on.' After we had left, some camels of booty were brought to Allah's Apostle and he said, "Where are those Ashʿariyin? Where are those Ashʿariyin?" So we went (to him) and he gave us five very fat good-looking camels. We mounted them and went away, and then I said to my companions, 'We went to Messenger of Allah ﷺ to give us mounts, but he took an oath that he would not give us mounts, and then later on he sent for us and gave us mounts, perhaps Messenger of Allah ﷺ forgot his oath. By Allah, we will never be successful, for we have taken advantage of the fact that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forgot to fulfill his oath. So let us return to Messenger of Allah ﷺ to remind him of his oath.' We returned and said, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! We came to you and asked you for mounts, but you took an oath that you would not give us mounts) but later on you gave us mounts, and we thought or considered that you have forgotten your oath.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Depart, for Allah has given you Mounts. By Allah, Allah willing, if I take an oath and then later find another thing better than that, I do what is better, and make expiation for the oath.' " (two other narrations through Zahdam as above) (Using translation from Bukhārī 6721)

[Machine] I was with Abu Musa when food was brought to him containing chicken, and he mentioned its significance.
[Machine] We were at Abu Musa's house when chicken meat was brought, so he mentioned it.
[Machine] Zahdam al-Jarmi said: "There was brotherhood between us and al-Ash'ari, so he mentioned the hadith and its meaning."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us our prayers and Sunnahs, and he said, "Indeed, the imam is to be followed. So when he says 'Allahu Akbar,' say 'Allahu Akbar,' and when he says, 'not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray' [Al-Fatiha 7], say 'Ameen,' as Allah, the Most High, will answer your supplication. And when he bows, bow, and when he raises his head, raise yours, and when he says, 'Allah hears whoever praises Him,' say, 'Our Lord, to You is all praise,' as Allah hears you. And when he prostrates, prostrate, and when he raises his head, raise yours. Indeed, the imam prostrates before you and raises before you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So do, as such is done."
Messenger of Allah, one man fights fgr the spoils of war; another fights that he may be remembered, and another fights that he may see his (high) position (achieved as a result of his valour in fighting). Which of these is fighting in the cause of God? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who fights so that the word of Allah is exalted is fighting in the way of Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 1904a)
[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and I had some people with me from my people. He said, "Rejoice and give glad tidings to those behind you that whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah sincerely, he will enter Paradise." We left the presence of the Prophet ﷺ to give the good news to the people, and Umar ibn Khattab met us. He took us back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, should people rely on this?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent.
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sent me to Yemen and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, there are (different kinds of) drinks there, what should I drink, and what should I refrain from?' He said: 'What are they?' I said: 'Al-Bit' (mead) and Al-Mizr (beer).' He said: 'What are mead and beer?' I said: 'Mead is a drink made from honey and beer is a drink made from grains.' The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Do not drink any intoxicant, for I have forbidden all intoxicants.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5603)
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a battle, and we would not ascend or descend a hill or valley without raising our voices with takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached us and said, "O people, raise your voices upon yourselves, for you are not calling upon the deaf or the absent, rather you are calling upon the All-Hearing, All-Seeing. The one you are calling upon is closer to each one of you than the neck of his riding animal.” He ﷺ said, "O Abdullah ibn Qais, shall I not teach you a phrase from the treasures of Paradise? There is no power or strength except with Allah."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, there will not be a single believer left except that he will be accompanied by a Jew or a Christian who will be presented to him and it will be said to him, 'This is your ransom from the Fire.' Abu Burdah said, 'Umar bin Abdul Aziz swore to me in the name of Allah, besides whom there is no god, have you heard Abu Musa mention this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' I said, 'Yes.' Upon hearing this, Umar was pleased."
[Machine] It was narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to perform voluntary prayers during his military campaigns.
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "There are three types of people who will receive their rewards twice. A man who had a slave girl and he educated her and treated her well, and then he freed her and married her. And a slave who fulfilled the rights of his Lord and his master. And a man who believed in his book and in Muhammad ﷺ ." Ash-Sha'abi said to me, "Take it without any condition, even if you have to travel all the way to Kerman, it will be easy for you."
two men referred a dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning an animal, and neither of them had proof, so he ruled that it should be divided in half. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2330)
"The Messenger of Allah (saas) said to me: "Shall I not tell you of a treasure which is one of the treasures of Paradise?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no power and no strength except with Allah).'" (sahih) (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3825)
[Machine] From Abu Musa, they were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and they raised their voices in supplication. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, you are not calling upon a deaf or absent [One]. Indeed, you are calling upon One who is near, hearing your supplication and responding." Then he said, "O Abdullah ibn Qais or O Abu Musa, shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah (Paradise)? There is no power or strength except with Allah."
[Machine] Abu Ali, a man from the Banu Kahil tribe, narrated: Abu Musa al-Ash'ari delivered a sermon and said, "O people, beware of this shirk (associating partners with Allah), for it is more concealed than the crawl of an ant." Abdullah ibn Hazn and Qais ibn al-Mudarib stood up and said, "By Allah, we shall either refute what you have said or we will go to Umar for permission to leave." Abu Musa replied, "Rather, I will retract what I said. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once delivered a sermon and said, 'O people, beware of this shirk, for it is more concealed than the crawl of an ant.' They asked him, 'If it is more concealed than the crawl of an ant, O Messenger of Allah, how can we guard against it?' He replied, 'Say, O Allah, we seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You, and we seek Your forgiveness for what we do not know.'"
[Machine] The two companions who gave their pledge to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , were lifted up, while the other one remained. And "It is not for Allah to punish them while you are among them" [Al-Anfal 33] and "It is not for Allah to punish them while they are seeking forgiveness" [Al-Anfal 33].
[Machine] Abu Musa, I said to my companion, come, let us make this day for Allah, as if we are witnessing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, and among them there are those who say, come, let us make this day for Allah, so he continued to repeat it until I wished to disappear into the ground.
[Machine] Abu Musa al-Ash'ari had a brother called Abu Ruham, who used to rush into conflict. Al-Ash'ari disliked engaging in conflict, so he said to him, "If it weren't for me hearing from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , I would not have informed you of what I am about to tell you. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No two Muslims meet with their swords without one of them killing the other, except that they both enter the Hellfire together.'"

[Machine] Abu Musa sought permission from Umar, who replied, "One, two, three" and then Abu Musa returned. Umar said to him, "You must come with evidence for this, or I will take action." Abu Musa replied as if to say, "I will make you regret this." Umar said, "Fine, go ahead." Then Abu Musa went to a gathering where the Ansar were present and mentioned this to them. He said, "Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said that if anyone seeks permission three times and is not granted permission, they should go back?" They replied, "Indeed, only our youngest ones go with you." Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri then stood up and told Umar, "This is Abu Sa'eed, leave him alone."
[Machine] Indeed, some people passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a funeral procession, hurriedly carrying it. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May tranquility be upon you."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah does not accept the prayer of a person who has even a trace of arrogance in his heart."
The Prophet said: "The likeness of the believer who recites the Qur'an is that of a citron, the taste and smell of which are good. The likeness of a believer who does not read the Qur'an is that of a date, the taste of which is good but it has no smell. The likeness of a hypocrite who reads the Qur'an is that of a sweet basil, the smell of which is good but its taste is bitter. And the likeness of a hypocrite who does not read the Qur'an is that of a colocynth (bitter apple), the taste of which is bitter and it has no smell.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 214)
This tradition has also been narrated on the authority of ‘A’ishah through a different chain. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 99)
[Machine] Abu Musa fainted and they cried over him. He said, "I am innocent of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been cleared of." They asked his wife, "What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say?" She replied, "Don't you know what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said?" They mentioned it to his wife, and she said, "He was referring to someone who shaved, skinned, and ripped."
[Machine] Abi Moosa fainted, so they cried for him. He woke up and said, "Verily, I seek refuge with you from what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been exempted from, which is shaving, cutting, and tearing."
[Machine] It is reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to be guarded by his companions. One night, I stood up and did not see him in his sleep. I was taken by what happened and went to look. Then, I found myself with Mu'adh, who had met the same person that I had met. We heard a voice like the sound of a rustling palm leaf and stood in our places. Then, the Prophet ﷺ came from the direction of the voice and said, "Do you know where I was and what I was doing?" I replied, "I do not, O Messenger of Allah. I saw someone who came to me from my Lord and gave me the choice between having half of my Ummah enter Paradise or having the power of intercession." So, I chose intercession. Mu'adh and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah to make us among those who are granted your intercession." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You and whoever dies without associating anything with Allah in worship are among those who will benefit from my intercession."

Abu Musa reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, Stretches out His Hand during the night so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dawn till dusk and He stretches out His Hand during the day so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dusk to dawn. (He would accept repentance) before the sun rises in the west (before the Day of Resurrection). A hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 2759a)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ named himself with names, some of which we have memorized and some of which we have not. He said, "I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am Al-Muqaffi and Al-Hashir, and the Prophet of Repentance and the Prophet of Warfare."
[Machine] "We set off to the Prophet ﷺ, intending to carry him. But he said, 'By Allah! I will not be carried by you.' So we turned back. He then sent us three spots on the earth, and told us, 'Some of us made a promise to one another that the Prophet ﷺ would not carry us. So we went to him and said, 'You have made a promise not to carry us.' He replied, 'I did not carry you. Rather, Allah the Almighty carried you. Whatever is on the earth, I take an oath by it. But I would not choose anything else over it, except that I would go to it.'"
[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "Whoever frees a slave, Allah will free every limb of his body from the Hellfire."
[Machine] "The believer to the believer is like a building, each part supporting the other. And the example of a good companion is like a perfume merchant; even if you do not buy from him, you will still be affected by his fragrance. And the example of a bad companion is like a blacksmith; even if he does not burn you, you will still be affected by his sparks. And the trustworthy treasurer who fulfills what he is commanded to do is like one who rents out to some of the benefactors."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us our prayers and rituals and he said, "The Imam should be followed in prayer. So when he says Takbir, say Takbir, and when he recites the verse {Not the way of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray} [Al-Fatiha 7], say Ameen, for Allah will answer your supplication. And when he bows, bow, and when he raises his head, raise yours. And when he says, 'Allah hears him who praises Him,' say, 'O Allah, our Lord, praise be to You.' Allah will hear your supplication. And when he prostrates, prostrate, and when he raises his head, raise yours. The Imam prostrates before you and raises his head before you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is for you."
