ahmad:19647 – Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Qurrah > Sayyār Abū al-Ḥakam > Abū Burdah from his father

[Machine] I said to the Prophet ﷺ, "Indeed, the people of Yemen have two drinks or beverages, this is Bit'u which is made from honey, and Mazro which is made from corn and barley. What do you command me regarding them?" He said, "I prohibit you from every intoxicant."  

أحمد:١٩٦٤٧ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ أَبُو الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنَّ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ شَرَابَيْنِ أَوْ أَشْرِبَةً هَذَا الْبِتْعُ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَالْمِزْرُ مِنَ الذُّرَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي فِيهِمَا؟ قَالَ أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ
