I came to the Prophet ﷺ during winter; I saw his companions raise their hands in their clothes in prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 729)
Wa’il b.Hujr said that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raise his hands when he uttered the takbir (Allah is most great). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 725)

Raising the hands at the start of prayer
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raise his hands when he began the prayer, until his thumbs were level with the lobes of his ears.
How the Prophet ﷺ prayed
[AI] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said that I would surely observe how he prayed. Then he faced the qibla, said the takbir, and raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. Then he took his left hand with his right. Then, when he wanted to bow, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. When he bowed, he placed his hands on his knees. When he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. When he prostrated, he placed his hands in that place from his face. When he sat, he spread his left leg, placed his left hand on his left knee, placed the edge of his elbow on his right thigh, folded his fingers into the form of thirty, made one into a circle, and pointed with his index finger.
The Prophet ﷺ drinking from a bucket of water and then spitting
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was brought a bucket of water, and he drank from it, then he spat.

Raising the hands at takbir and giving salam to both sides
[AI] He prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would say the takbir when lowering and when rising, and he would raise his hands at the takbir, and he would give salam to his right and to his left.
Saying Amin softly and placing the right hand over the left in prayer
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer, and when he recited, "not of those who have incurred wrath, nor of those who have gone astray" [Al-Fatiha 7], he said "Amin" softly, placed his right hand on his left hand, and gave salam to his right and his left.
How the Prophet ﷺ raised his hands and pointed in prayer
[AI] I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said the takbir when he began, and he raised his hand. When he wanted to bow, he raised his hands. When he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands, placed his palms, held them apart, spread his left thigh away from the right, and pointed with his index finger.
Placing the nose on the ground with the forehead in prostration
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ— and Yazid said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ place his nose on the ground when he prostrated, together with his forehead.
Saying salam to the right and left in prayer

How the Prophet ﷺ raised his hands and sat in prayer
[AI] I saw the Prophet ﷺ say the takbir and raise his hands when he said the takbir, meaning when he began the prayer. He raised his hands when he said the takbir, and he raised his hands when he bowed, and he raised his hands when he said "Allah hears the one who praises Him." He prostrated and placed his hands level with his ears. Then he sat and spread out his left leg. Then he placed his left hand on his left knee, and he placed his right forearm on his right thigh. Then he pointed with his index finger, placed the thumb on the middle finger, and closed the rest of his fingers. Then he prostrated, and his hands were level with his ears.
Wine is not a medicine
[AI] A man called Suwaid ibn Tariq asked the Prophet ﷺ about wine, and he forbade it. He said, "I make it for medicine," so the Prophet ﷺ said: "It is a disease and not a cure."
his father said: "I prayed with the Prophet ﷺ and a man said: 'Alhamdu lillahi hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi (Praise is to Allah, much, good and blessed praise).' When the Prophet ﷺ finished praying, he said: 'Who said that?' The man said: 'It was me, but I did not mean anything but good.' He said: 'The gates of heaven were opened because of it and nothing prevented it from reaching the Throne.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3802)
Raising the hands in prayer and giving salam to both sides
[AI] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and from his face there was something for me that I would not have liked to have from the face of any man from the desert Arabs. I prayed behind him, and he would raise his hands whenever he said the takbir, and when he raised, and lowered between the two prostrations, and he would give salam to his right and to his left.
I prepare it as a medicine, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: It is no medicine, but an ailment. (Using translation from Muslim 1984)
Warning against unjustly taking land
[AI] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when two men came to him disputing over a piece of land. One of them said: This man seized my land, O Messenger of Allah, in the pre-Islamic period. He was Imru al-Qays ibn Abis al-Kindi, and his opponent was Rabiah ibn Abdan. He said to him, "Your evidence?" He said: I have no evidence. He said, "Then his oath." He said: Then he will take it. He said, "You have nothing but that." He said: Then when he stood up to swear, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes land unjustly will meet Allah ﷻ on the Day of Resurrection while He is angry with him."
Prostrating with the forehead and nose on the ground
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating on the ground, placing his forehead and nose in his prostration.
Placing the hands on the knees during bowing
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bow and place his hands on his knees.
He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raising his hands at the time of beginning the prayer and reciting takbir, and according to Hammam (the narrator), the hands were lifted opposite to ears. He (the Holy Prophet) then wrapped his hands in his cloth and placed his right hand over his left hand. And when he was about to bow down, he brought out his hands from the cloth, and then lifted them, and then recited takbir and bowed down, and when (he came back to the erect position) he recited:" Allah listened to him who praised Him." And when he prostrated, he prostrated between his two palms. (Using translation from Muslim 401)
Placing the hands level with the ears in prostration
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he prostrated, would place his hands level with his ears.
Saying Amin in prayer
[AI] He heard the Prophet ﷺ say during the prayer, "Amin."
Saying Amin aloud
[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ say "Amin" aloud.
Zaidah's describes the Prophet’s ﷺ prayer and hand movements from takbir to tashahhud
[AI] "I will certainly look at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to see how he prays." He said: So I looked at him. He stood and said the takbir, and raised his hands until they were level with his ears. Then he placed his right hand on the back of his left hand, wrist, and forearm. Then he said: When he wanted to bow, he raised his hands likewise and placed his hands on his knees. Then he raised his head and raised his hands likewise. Then he prostrated and placed his palms level with his ears. Then he sat and spread his left foot, then placed his left palm on his left thigh and knee, and put the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh. Then he clasped some of his fingers together, making a circle, then raised his finger, and I saw him moving it, supplicating with it. Then I came after that at a time of cold, and I saw the people wearing clothes, with their hands moving beneath their clothes because of the cold.
Raising the hands and hand placement in prayer
[AI] I saw the Prophet ﷺ: when he said the opening takbir, he raised his hands level with his ears, then when he bowed, and then when he said "Allah hears the one who praises Him" he raised his hands. And I saw him holding his right hand over his left in prayer. Then when he sat, he made a ring with the middle finger and thumb, pointed with the index finger, placed his right hand on his right thigh, and placed his left hand on his left thigh.
“A Woman was coerced (i.e., raped) during the time of Messenger of Allah ﷺ He waived the legal punishment for her and carried it out on the one who had attacked her, but he (the narrator) did not say that he rules that she should be given a bridal-money.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2598)
Placing the right hand over the left and saying Ameen aloud in prayer
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ place his right hand on his left in prayer, near the wrist, and raise his hands when he began until they reached his ears. I prayed behind him, and he recited, "not of those who have incurred anger nor of those who are astray" [Al-Fatiha: 7], then he said "Ameen" aloud.
"A bucket was brought to the Prophet; he rinsed his mouth and spat into it, and it was like musk or better than musk, and he rinsed his nostrils outside the bucket." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 659)
Placing the right hand over the left in prayer
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his right hand over his left in prayer, and he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Ibn Abi Bukayr.
How the Prophet ﷺ prayed and gestured with his finger
[AI] I said: I will certainly observe how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prays. So he stood and raised his hands until they were level with his ears, then he took his left hand with his right. Then he said, when he wanted to bow, he raised his hands until they were level with his ears, then placed his hands on his knees. Then he rose and raised his hands like that. Then he prostrated and placed his hands in line with his ears. Then he sat and spread his left leg, and placed his left palm on his left knee, his thigh, in Asim's description. Then he placed the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh, folded thirty, and made a circle. Then I saw him doing like this, and Zuhayr pointed with his first index finger, folded two fingers, and made the thumb into a circle on the second index finger.
Raising the hands and pointing with the finger in prayer
He saw the Prophet ﷺ pray: he said the takbir and raised his hands; when he bowed, he raised his hands; and when he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands. He kept his arms away from his sides in his bowing, and kept them away in his prostration. When he sat to recite the tashahhud, he placed his right thigh upon the left, placed his right hand, pointed with his index finger, and formed a circle with the middle finger.
How the Prophet ﷺ placed his hands in prayer and bowing
[AI] He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and described him, saying in it that he placed his right hand over his left. He said: Shu'bah added to it on another occasion: "Then when he was bowing, he placed his hands on his knees and held his arms apart in bowing."
9.65 [Machine] Amr bin Yasser
A person may receive only a fraction of his prayer
[AI] Ammar prayed two rakahs, and Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith said to him, "O Abu al-Yaqzan, I only see that you have made them brief." He said, "Have I reduced anything of their required parts?" He said, "No, but you made them brief." He said, "I hastened through them because of forgetfulness; I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "A man may pray, yet perhaps he will have from his prayer only a tenth of it, a ninth of it, or an eighth of it, or a seventh of it"." He continued until he reached the end of the count.
Ammar's last drink at Siffin
[AI] On the day of Siffin, Ammar said, "Bring me a drink of milk, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The last drink you will drink in this world is a drink of milk."" So a drink of milk was brought to him, and he drank it, then he went forward and was killed.
The ummah is like rain
[AI] "The example of my ummah is like the rain; it is not known whether its beginning is better or its end."
"We were with 'Umar when a man came to him and said: 'O Commander of the Believers! sometimes we stay for a month or two without finding any water. Umar said: As if I did not find water, I would not pray until I found water.' 'Ammar bin Yasir said: 'Do you remember, O Commander of the Believer, when you were in such and such a place and we were rearing the camels, and you know that we became Junub?' He said: 'Yes.' 'As for me I rolled in the dust, then we came to the Prophet ﷺ and he laughed and said: "Clean earth would have been sufficient for you." And he struck his hands on the earth then blew on them, then he wiped his face and part of his forearms. He ('Umar) said: "Fear Allah, O 'Ammar!'" He said: 'O Commander of the Believers! If you wish I will not mention it.' He said: 'No, we will let you bear the burden of what you took upon yourself.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 316)
The Prophet’s last drink would be milk
[AI] Ammar ibn Yasir was brought a drink of milk, so he laughed and said: Then he said: The Prophet ﷺ said: "The last drink I will drink is milk, until I die."
Ammar's words on the day of Siffin
[AI] I saw Ammar on the Day of Siffin, an old man, dark-complexioned and tall, holding a spear in his hand while his hand was trembling. He said, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, I have fought with this banner alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ three times, and this is the fourth. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if they were to strike us until they drove us to the palm branches of Hajar, I would know that those of us seeking reform are upon the truth and that they are upon misguidance."
Ammar on the fighting and the twelve hypocrites
[AI] He said: I said to Ammar, "Do you think your fighting was an opinion you formed?" Hajjaj said: "Do you think this matter" meaning their fighting "was an opinion you formed? For opinion can be mistaken and can be correct. Or was it a covenant that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made with you?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not make any special covenant with us that he did not make with all people." And he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, in my nation..."" Shu'bah said, "And I think he said: Hudhayfah narrated to me:" "Indeed, in my nation are twelve hypocrites. They will not enter Paradise, nor will they smell its fragrance, until a camel passes through the eye of a needle. Eight of them, the dubaylah will suffice against them: a lamp of fire that appears in their shoulders until it emerges in their chests."
I came to my family at night (after a journey) with my hands chapped and they perfumed me with saffron. In the morning I went to the Prophet ﷺ and gave him a greeting, but he did not respond to me nor did he welcome me. He said: Go away and wash this off yourself. I then went away and washed it off me. I came to him but there remained a spot of it on me. I give him a greeting, but he did not respond to me nor did he welcome me. He said: Go away and wash it off yourself. I then went away and washed it off me. I then came and gave him a greeting. He responded to me and welcomed me, saying: The angels do not attend the funeral of an unbeliever bringing good to it, nor a man who smears himself with saffron, nor a man who is sexually defiled. He said: He permitted the man who was sexually defiled to perform ablution when he slept, ate or drank. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4176)
"Do you remember when we were on a campaign, and I became Junub and rolled in the dust, then I came to the Prophet ﷺ and he said: 'This would have been sufficient.'" (One of the narrators) Shu'bah struck his hands on his knees and blew into his hands, then he wiped his face and palms with them once. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 317)
The concession of tayammum after Aisha's necklace was lost
[AI] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a necklace belonging to Aisha was lost, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed until dawn broke. Abu Bakr became angry with Aisha, then the concession regarding wiping with the surfaces of the earth was sent down for them. Abu Bakr went in to her and said: "You are truly blessed; a concession has been sent down for us because of you." Then we struck with our hands for our faces, and we struck with our hands one stroke up to the shoulders and the armpits.
