Raising the hands and pointing with the finger in prayer

ahmad:18877Hāshim b. al-Qāsim > Shuʿbah > ʿĀṣim b. Kulayb > Abī > Wāʾil al-Ḥaḍramī

He saw the Prophet ﷺ pray: he said the takbir and raised his hands; when he bowed, he raised his hands; and when he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands. He kept his arms away from his sides in his bowing, and kept them away in his prostration. When he sat to recite the tashahhud, he placed his right thigh upon the left, placed his right hand, pointed with his index finger, and formed a circle with the middle finger.
