٩۔ مسند الكوفيين ص ١٥
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I advise the person to obey his mother. I advise the person to obey his mother. I advise the person to obey his mother. I advise the person to obey his father. I advise the person to obey his father. I advise him to follow his leader, even if he is harmed by him.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُوصِي الرَّجُلَ بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي الرَّجُلَ بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي الرَّجُلَ بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي الرَّجُلَ بِأَبِيهِ أُوصِي الرَّجُلَ بِأَبِيهِ أُوصِيهِ بِمَوْلَاهُ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ فِيهِ أَذًى يُؤْذِيهِ
"I enjoin each one to honor his mother,I enjoin each one to honor his mother,I enjoin each one to honor his mother(three times), I enjoin each one to honor his guardian who is taking care of him, even if he is causing him some annoyance." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3657)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأَبِيهِ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأَبِيهِ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِمَوْلَاهُ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ فِيهِ أَذَاةٌ تُؤْذِيهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I advise a person, so he mentioned the hadith of Dhirar bin Al-Azwar."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُوصِي امْرَأً فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُحَدِيثُ ضِرَارِ بْنِ الْأَزْوَرِ
9.55 [Machine] Dhurair bin Al-Azoor
٩۔٥٥ حديث ضرار بن الأزور
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he was milking and said, "Leave the milk for the caller."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ يَحْلُبُ فَقَالَ دَعْ دَاعِيَ اللَّبَنِ
9.56 [Machine] Dog's Dinner
٩۔٥٦ حديث دحية الكلبي
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I not carry a donkey for you on a horse so that it produces a mule for you to ride?" He said, "This is only done by those who do not know."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا أَحْمِلُ لَكَ حِمَارًا عَلَى فَرَسٍ فَتُنْتِجَ لَكَ بَغْلًا فَتَرْكَبُهَا؟ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
9.57 [Machine] Man
٩۔٥٧ حديث رجل
" I was in a house with 'Utbah bin Farqad, and I wanted to narrate a Hadith, but there was a man from among the Companions of the Prophet there, and I felt it was more appropriate fro him to narrate the Hadith than I. The man narrated that the Prophet said. Concerning of the Prophet there, and I felt it was more appropriate for him to narrate the Hadith than I. the man narrated that the Prophet said, concerning Ramadan: 'In it the gates of Heavens are opened and the gates of the Fire are shut, and every devil is fettered. A caller calls out every night: O seeker of good, proceed; O seeker of evil, desist!"' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2108)
فَكَانَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَأَنَّهُ أَوْلَى بِالْحَدِيثِ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَحَدَّثَ الرَّجُلُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي رَمَضَانَ تُفَتَّحُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَتُغَلَّقُ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ وَيُصَفَّدُ فِيهِ كُلُّ شَيْطَانٍ مَرِيدٍ وَيُنَادِي مُنَادٍ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ يَا طَالِبَ الْخَيْرِ هَلُمَّ وَيَا طَالِبَ الشَّرِّ أَمْسِكْ
[Machine] A man from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ entered upon us. When Uthman saw him, he became saddened and remained silent. He then spoke about Ramadan, saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'In Ramadan, the gates of Hell are closed, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the devils are chained up.' He further said, 'In it, a caller announces, "O seeker of goodness, proceed! O seeker of evil, desist!" until Ramadan is completed.'"
فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ قَالَ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ عُتْبَةُ هَابَهُ فَسَكَتَ قَالَ فَحَدَّثَ عَنْ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي رَمَضَانَ تُغَلَّقُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ وَتُفَتَّحُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ وَتُصَفَّدُ فِيهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ قَالَ وَيُنَادِي فِيهِ مَلَكٌ يَا بَاغِيَ الْخَيْرِ أَبْشِرْ يَا بَاغِيَ الشَّرِّ أَقْصِرْ حَتَّى يَنْقَضِيَ رَمَضَانُ
9.58 [Machine] Jandab
٩۔٥٨ حديث جندب
[Machine] "A woman said to the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him), 'I never see your companion except that he has delayed you?' He replied, 'This verse was revealed: 'Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased.'" (Surah Ad-Duha, Verse 3)
امْرَأَةٌ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَرَى صَاحِبَكَ إِلَّا قَدْ أَبْطَأَ عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى } [الضحى 3]
[Machine] The Prophet's finger ﷺ was injured, and Ibn Ja'far said it was a stone that caused it to bleed. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you not just a bleeding finger? And in the path of Allah, I face whatever comes."
أَصَابَ إِصْبَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ شَيْءٌ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَجَرٌ فَدَمِيَتْ فَقَالَ هَلْ أَنْتِ إِلَّا إِصْبَعٌ دَمِيتِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا لَقِيتِ
I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ observing ('Id) prayer on the Day of Sacrifice (10th of Dhu'l-Hijja) and then delivering a sermon and he said: He who sacrificed the (animal) before offering ('Id) prayer, he should offer again in its stead, and he who did not sacrifice the animal should slaughter it by reciting the name of Allah. أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ مَنْ كَانَ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُعِدْ مَكَانَهَا أُخْرَى وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَلْيَذْبَحْ وَمَنْ كَانَ لَمْ يَذْبَحْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ بِاسْمِاللهِ
[Machine] An Arab man came and tied his camel, then he tied its reins. He prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he came to his camel and untied its reins. Then he mounted it and said, "O Allah, have mercy on me and Muhammad, and do not include anyone else in our mercy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you say that this camel of yours is more misguided or that its owner is more misguided? Haven't you heard what he said?" They replied, "Indeed, yes." He said, "Indeed, you have limited the expansive mercy of Allah. Verily, Allah created one hundred portions of mercy, and He sent down only one portion of mercy to the entire creation. It is by this one portion that the creatures of the heavens and the earth are merciful to one another. And Allah has reserved with Him ninety-nine portions of mercy. Do you say that his action is more misguided or that the camel's action is more misguided?"
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَأَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ ثُمَّ عَقَلَهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى رَاحِلَتَهُ فَأَطْلَقَ عِقَالَهَا ثُمَّ رَكِبَهَا ثُمَّ نَادَى اللهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا وَلَا تُشْرِكْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا أَحَدًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَقُولُونَ هَذَا أَضَلُّ أَمْ بَعِيرُهُ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا مَا قَالَ؟ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ لَقَدْ حَظَرْتَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَاسِعَةٌ إِنَّ اللهَ خَلَقَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً يَتَعَاطَفُ بِهَا الْخَلَائِقُ جِنُّهَا وَإِنْسُهَا وَبَهَائِمُهَا وَعِنْدَهُ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ أَتَقُولُونَ هُوَ أَضَلُّ أَمْ بَعِيرُهُ؟
[Machine] "A man who had been wounded was carried to his house. He suffered from the pain of his wound, so he removed an arrow from his foot and accidentally stabbed himself with it in his abdomen. They mentioned this incident to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, as conveyed from his Lord ﷻ, 'He hastened to proceed with his own soul.'"
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَتْهُ جِرَاحَةٌ فَحُمِلَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ فَآلَمَتْ جِرَاحَتُهُ فَاسْتَخْرَجَ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ فَطَعَنَ بِهِ فِي لَبَّتِهِ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ ﷻ سَابَقَنِي بِنَفْسِهِ
I heard Jundub b. Sufyan say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill and did not wake up for two or three nights (for prayers) A woman came to him and said: Muhammad, I hope that your satan has left you. I haven't seen him approach you for two or three nights. The narrator says: At this, Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, revealed:" By the Glorious......" (Using translation from Muslim 1797b)
سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَقُمْ لَيْلَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ لَمْ أَرَهُ قَرَبَكَ مُنْذُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَالضُّحَى وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى} [الضحى 2]
[Machine] "He (referring to someone) prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Eid, and then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left. Suddenly, he found meat and the sacrifices of Eid, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ knew that they had been slaughtered before he prayed. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever slaughtered before we prayed, let him slaughter another one in its place. And whoever did not slaughter until we prayed, let him slaughter in the name of Allah.'"
أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ أَضْحَى فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِاللَّحْمِ وَذَبَائِحِ الْأَضْحَى فَعَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهَا ذُبِحَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فَلْيَذْبَحْ مَكَانَهَا أُخْرَى وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ ذَبَحَ حَتَّى صَلَّيْنَا فَلْيَذْبَحْ بِاسْمِ اللهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays the Fajr prayer, he is under Allah's protection, so do not breach Allah's protection. And Allah does not ask you for anything in return for His protection."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الْفَجْرِ فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللهِ فَلَا تُخْفِرُوا ذِمَّةَ اللهِ ﷻ وَلَا يَطْلُبَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ
The Prophet ﷺ became sick and did not get up (for Tahajjud prayer) for a night or two. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1124)
سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبًا يَقُولُ اشْتَكَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَقُمْ لَيْلَةً أَوْ لَيْلَتَيْنِ فَأَتَتْ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مَا أَرَى شَيْطَانَكَ إِلَّا قَدْ تَرَكَكَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَالضُّحَى وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى} [الضحى 2]
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'And Abdullah said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Eid al-Adha to a group of people who had already slaughtered or sacrificed, and to a group of people who had not yet slaughtered or sacrificed. So he said: 'Whoever has already slaughtered or sacrificed before our prayer, let him count it as a voluntary act, and whoever has not yet slaughtered or sacrificed, let him do so in the name of Allah."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى عَلَى قَوْمٍ قَدْ ذَبَحُوا أَوْ نَحَرُوا وَقَوْمٍ لَمْ يَذْبَحُوا أَوْ لَمْ يَنْحَرُوا فَقَالَ مَنْ ذَبَحَ أَوْ نَحَرَ قَبْلَ صَلَاتِنَا فَلْيُعِدْ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَذْبَحْ أَوْ يَنْحَرْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ أَوْ يَنْحَرْ بِاسْمِ اللهِ
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ became anxious when Gabriel delayed. It was said to him, so he said, 'So the verse was revealed: "By the morning brightness And by the night when it covers with darkness. Your Lord has not taken leave of you, nor has He detested [you]." [Surah Ad-Duha 93:1-3]"
أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَبْطَأَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَزِعَ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ {وَالضُّحَى وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى} [الضحى 2]
A finger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was wounded in one of the encounters He said: Thou art just a little finger which has bled, and what thou hast experienced is in the cause of Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 1796a)
دَمِيَتْ إِصْبَعُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ هَلْ أَنْتِ إِلَّا إِصْبَعٌ دَمِيتِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا لَقِيتِ
“Whoever wants to be heard of, Allah will make him heard of, and whoever wants to be seen, Allah will show him (i.e., expose his real motives).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4207)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ يُسَمِّعْ يُسَمِّعِ اللهُ بِهِ وَمَنْ يُرَائي يُرَائي اللهُ بِهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I will be waiting for you at the Pond (of Kawthar)."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: I shall be there at the Cistern before you. (Using translation from Muslim 2289a)
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ الْفَرَطُ الَّذِي يَسْبِقُ
I heard the Prophet, saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount. (Al-Kauthar) . (Using translation from Bukhārī 6589)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
[Machine] "He witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offering prayer, then he delivered a sermon and said, 'Whoever has slaughtered (their sacrificial animal) before we prayed, let them substitute it with another. And perhaps he said, 'Let them substitute it with another.' And whoever has not done so, let them slaughter (their sacrificial animal) in the name of Allah, the Most High.'"
أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ مَنْ كَانَ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُعِدْ مَكَانَهَا أُخْرَى وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ فَلْيُعِدْ أُخْرَى وَمَنْ لَا فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ تَعَالَى
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I am your forerunner at the pond." Sufyan said, "The forerunner is the one who comes first."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ الْفَرَطُ الَّذِي يَسْبِقُ
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Whoever performs the Fajr prayer, he is under the protection of Allah, so be aware O son of Adam, that Allah does not call upon you for anything from His protection."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فَهُوَ فِي ذِمَّةِ اللهِ ﷻ فَانْظُرْ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ لَا يَطْلُبَنَّكَ اللهُ مِنْ ذِمَّتِهِ بِشَيْءٍ
[Machine] I heard Jundub ibn Sufyan saying, "I witnessed with the Prophet ﷺ the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha), then he delivered a sermon and said, 'Whoever slaughtered before we prayed, let him count his sacrifice. And whoever did not slaughter, let him slaughter in the name of Allah ﷻ.'"
سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ شَهِدْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْعِيدَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ مَنْ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُعِدْ أُضْحِيَّتَهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَذْبَحْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ ﷻ
Recite the Qur'an as long as your hearts agree to do so, and when you feel variance between them (between your hearts and tongues), then get up (and leave its recital for the time being). (Using translation from Muslim 2667a)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فَقُومُوا
9.59 [Machine] Salma bin Qais
٩۔٥٩ حديث سلمة بن قيس
The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use pebbles to clean yourself after defecating, use an odd number.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 406)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَانْتَثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ
The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use pebbles to clean yourself after defecating, use an odd number.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 406)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَانْتَثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ
9.60 [Machine] Man
٩۔٦٠ حديث رجل
[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "It is not acceptable to exchange a defective item, and a buyer should not sell his goods while present at a specific place. And whoever buys a pregnant sheep or a camel, Shu'bah said: He (the Prophet) only mentioned a pregnant camel once, then he is entitled to the offspring born from it after the two deliveries. If he returns it, he should return with it a measure of food." Al-Hakam said, or he said, "a measure of dates."
عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُتَلَقَّى جَلَبٌ وَلَا يَبِعْ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَمَنْ اشْتَرَى شَاةً مُصَرَّاةً أَوْ نَاقَةً قَالَ شُعْبَةُ إِنَّمَا قَالَ نَاقَةً مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَهُوَ مِنْهَا بِآخِرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ إِذَا هُوَ حَلَبَ إِنْ رَدَّهَا رَدَّ مَعَهَا صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ قَالَالْحَكَمُ أَوْ قَالَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ
The Prophet [SAW] forbade (mixtures of) Al-Balh and dried dates, and of raisins and dried dates. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5547)
عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْبَلَحِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ
[Machine] From a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not accept dealings with the robbers." Ibn Ja'far said, neither a robe should be accepted, nor should a ladle be allowed for exchange in Baad. And whoever purchases a mithqal (a measure of weight) of dates, he will be held accountable for the remaining amount, according to either of the two opinions (of Ibn Ja'far). And Ibn Ja'far said, if it is returned, he should return with it a measure (equivalent) of either food or dates.
عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَلَقَّوْا الرُّكْبَانَ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ لَا يُتَلَقَّى جَلَبٌ وَلَا يَبِعْحَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَمَنْ اشْتَرَى مُصَرَّاةً فَهُوَ فِيهَا بِآخِرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ بِأَحَدِ النَّظَرَيْنِ إِنْ رَدَّهَا رَدَّ مَعَهَا صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ
A man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited cupping and perpetual fasting, but he had not made them unlawful showing mercy on his Companions. Thereupon he was asked: Messenger of Allah, you observe perpetual fast till dawn. He replied: I observe perpetual fast till dawn (for) my Lord gives me food and drink. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2374)
حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْحِجَامَةِ وَالْمُوَاصَلَةِ وَلَمْ يُحَرِّمْهَا إِبْقَاءً عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ إِلَى السَّحَرِ فَقَالَ إِنْ أُوَاصِلُ إِلَى السَّحَرِ فَرَبِّي يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِي

[Machine] Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "The people had been fasting for the completion of thirty days, when two Bedouin men came and testified that they saw the new moon the previous evening. So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , commanded the people to break their fast."
عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ لِتَمَامِ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيَّانِ فَشَهِدَا أَنَّهُمَا أَهَلَّاهُ بِالْأَمْسِ عَشِيَّةً فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'D not anticipate the month until you complete the number, or you see the crescent. Then fast, and do not stop fasting until you see the crescent, or your complete thirty days."' (Sahih) Al-Hajjaj bin Artah reported it in a Mursal from. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2127)
عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ حَتَّى تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ أَوْ تَرَوْا الْهِلَالَ وَصُومُوا وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ أَوْ تَرَوْا الْهِلَالَ
The Prophet [SAW] forbade (mixtures of) Al-Balh and dried dates, and of raisins and dried dates. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5547)
عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْبَلَحِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ

٩۔٦١ حديث طارق بن شهاب
[Machine] "To the Messenger of Allah, on the day of Badr, O Messenger of Allah, we do not say to you as the Children of Israel said to Moses, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are here sitting,' but rather, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are with you, fighting.'"
لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا لَا نَقُولُ لَكَ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لِمُوسَى {اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ} وَلَكِنْ اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُقَاتِلُونَ
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Which kind of jihad is the best?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "A truthful word in front of a tyrant leader."
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ كَلِمَةُ حَقٍّ عِنْدَ إِمَامٍ جَائِرٍ
[Machine] I heard Tariq ibn Shihab say, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I participated in battles during the caliphates of Abu Bakr and Umar for about forty-three or thirty-three engagements, including both major campaigns and minor expeditions." Ibn Ja'far said, "It was thirty-three or forty-three battles, from campaigns to minor skirmishes."
سَمِعْتُ طَارِقَ بْنَ شِهَابٍ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَغَزَوْتُ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ بِضْعًا وَأَرْبَعِينَ أَوْ بِضْعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ مِنْ بَيْنِ غَزْوَةٍ وَسَرِيَّةٍ وقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا وَأَرْبَعِينَ مِنْ غَزْوَةٍ إِلَى سَرِيَّةٍ
a man asked the Prophet, when he had put his leg in the stirrup: "Which kind of Jihad is best?'" He said: " a word of truth spoken before an unjust rulers." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4209)
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ وَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ فِي الْغَرْزِ أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ كَلِمَةُ حَقٍّ عِنْدَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has not created a disease except that He has also created its cure. So, use the milk of cows, as it comes from every tree."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِأَلْبَانِ الْبَقَرِ فَإِنَّهَا تَرُمُّ مِنْ كُلِّ الشَّجَرِ
[Machine] Two men from a foreign land came, one of them performed ablution (tayammum) and prayed, but the other did not pray. They both went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he did not criticize them.
أَجْنَبَ رَجُلَانِ فَتَيَمَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ الْآخَرُ فَأَتَيَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَعِبْ عَلَيْهِمَا
[Machine] A delegation from Bujailah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "Clothe the Bajaliyyin (people of Bujailah) and start with the Ahmasiyyin (a prominent tribe)." A man from the Qays tribe lagged behind, saying, "I want to see what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ will say to them." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for them five times, saying, "O Allah, send blessings upon them," or "O Allah, bestow Your blessings upon them," repeatedly.
قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بَجِيلَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اكْسُوا الْبَجَلِيِّينَ وَابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمَسِيِّينَ قَالَ فَتَخَلَّفَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ مَا يَقُولُ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَدَعَا لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوِ اللهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهِمْ مُخَارِقٌ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ
[Machine] The delegation of Ahmas and the delegation of Qais came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Begin with the Ahmas before the Qais." He prayed for the Ahmas and said, "O Allah, bless the Ahmas, their horses, and their men seven times."
قَدِمَ وَفْدُ أَحْمَسَ وَوَفْدُ قَيْسٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ابْدَءُوا بِالْأَحْمَسِيِّينَ قَبْلَ الْقَيْسِيِّينَ وَدَعَا لِأَحْمَسَ فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِي أَحْمَسَ وَخَيْلِهَا وَرِجَالِهَا سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ
[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and participated in battles during the caliphates of Abu Bakr and Umar, from thirty-three to forty-three battles, from Ghazwat to Siriyah."
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَغَزَوْتُ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا وَأَرْبَعِينَ مِنْ غَزْوَةٍ إِلَى سَرِيَّةٍ

٩۔٦٢ حديث رجل

9.63 [Machine] The translation of the heading "مصدق النبي ﷺ" into English would be "The Truthfulness of the Prophet ﷺ.
٩۔٦٣ حديث مصدق النبي ﷺ
"The Zakah collector of the prophet came to us, and I went to him, sat with him, and heard him say: In my contract it says that we should not take any sucking young, nor combine what is separate, nor separate what is combined.' A man brought a she-camel with a big hump to him and said: 'Take it, but he refused." (Daif) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2457)
أَتَانَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ فِي عَهْدِي أَنْ لَا آخُذَ مِنْ رَاضِعِ لَبَنٍ وَلَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ مُتَفَرِّقٍ وَلَا يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَ مُجْتَمِعٍ وَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ كَوْمَاءَ فَقَالَ خُذْهَا فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَهَا

٩۔٦٤ حديث وائل بن حجر
[Machine] The Prophet, ﷺ , was given a bucket of water. He drank from it, then he rinsed the bucket and poured it into the well or drank from the bucket and then poured it into the well, so it emitted a fragrance similar to musk.
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِدَلْوٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ مَجَّ فِي الدَّلْوِ ثُمَّ صَبَّ فِي الْبِئْرِ أَوْ شَرِبَ مِنَ الدَّلْوِ ثُمَّ مَجَّ فِي الْبِئْرِ فَفَاحَ مِنْهَا مِثْلُ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ
