The revelation of "Your Lord has not forsaken you"

ahmad:18796 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > al-Aswad b. Qays > Jundub al-Bajalī

[AI] A woman said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "I do not see your companion except that he has delayed over you." He said: Then this verse was revealed: "Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He detested." [Ad-Duha: 3]

أحمد:١٨٧٩٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جُنْدُبًا الْبَجَلِيَّ قَالَ

قالت امرأة لرسول الله ﷺ: مَا أَرَى صَاحِبَكَ إِلَّا قَدْ أَبْطَأَ عَلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ: فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: ﴿مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى﴾ [الضحى: ٣].

A lady said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I see that your friend has delayed. (in conveying Qur'an) to you." So there was revealed: 'Your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you, not hated you.' (93.1-3)
