8. Shāmīs (22/26)
[Machine] "The judgement is for a man who remembers the day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited (the practice of) Al-Naqir and Al-Muqayyar or one of them, and also prohibited (the practice of) Al-Dubbah and Al-Hantam. He (the man) said, 'Yes, and I bear witness to that.'"
The Prophet ﷺ forbade that the male should perform ablution with the water left over by the female. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 82)
[Machine] Once I remember when the messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the use of dubba', Hanitm, Muqayyar, and Naqir. He said, "And I bear witness that I did not mention Muqayyar or mention Naqir or mention them both together."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ forbade performing ablution solely for the purpose of its virtue, without knowing the virtue of performing it or the virtue of its splendor.
8.133 [Machine] Obey ibn Al-Aswad
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of conquest, "It is not appropriate for a Qurayshi to be killed after this day, so be patient."
[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the conquest of Mecca saying, "No Quraish shall be killed after today, and no one from the rebellious Quraish has embraced Islam except in obedience." And his name was As'a, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him Muti'a.
I heard the Prophet ﷺ say on the day of the Conquest of Mecca: No Quraishite will be killed hound hand and foot from this day until the Day of judgment. (Using translation from Muslim 1782a)
[Machine] From his father, Mu'ti would be called by the name Al-Aas. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him Mu'ti. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he ordered the killing of these renegades in Mecca saying, 'Mecca shall never be attacked after this year, and no Quraishi shall be killed after this year, forever.'"
8.134 [Machine] Salman bin Amer
[Machine] He said: When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with a date. If he cannot find a date, then let him break it with water, for water is pure.
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Perform the 'Aqiqah for your child by slaughtering (an animal) on its behalf, and remove the harm from it." He also said, "Your charity to a poor person is a charity, and to a relative, it is both charity and maintaining the ties of kinship."
"Giving charity to a poor person is charity, and (giving) to a relative is two things, charity and upholding the ties of kinship." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2582)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Let one of you break his fast with dates. But if he cannot find any, then let him break his fast with water, for indeed water is purifying. Along with the Aqeeqah of a newborn, remove harm from him, sprinkle water on him, and give charity to his relatives, for these are two acts of charity and maintaining family ties."
"When any one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find dates, then let him break it with water, for it is a means of purification." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1699)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Along with a boy there is an 'Aqiqah, so shed blood on his behalf, and remove injury from him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2839)
"When any one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find dates, then let him break it with water, for it is a means of purification." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1699)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah said, "When one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find dates, then let him break it with water, for verily water is purifying. And with regards to a newborn baby, his 'Aqeeqah should be performed by shedding blood and removing harm from him. And charity given to the poor is a true charity, and charity given to a relative is a double reward: a charity and a maintaining of family ties."
[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ said: Ibn Numair has reported that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: Yazid ibn Harun heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'With the child, perform Aqiqah for him, so shed blood for him and remove harm from him.'"
"For a boy there shoud be an 'Aqiqah, so shed blood for him, and remove the harm from him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4214)
"When any one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates. If he cannot find dates, then let him break it with water, for it is a means of purification." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1699)
[Machine] On the authority of Salman bin Aamir, neither Ayoub nor Hisham mentioned, but Muhammad narrated from Salman that he attributed it to the Prophet that he said regarding the boy's aqeeqah, "Pour blood from him and remove harm from him."

the Messenger of Allah said: “Charity given to the poor is charity, and that given to a relative is two things: charity and upholding the ties of kinship.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1844)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Giving charity to the poor is one charity, and giving to a relative who is in need is both a charity and a strengthening of family ties."
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "With a newborn boy, his 'aqiqah should be performed, so spill the blood from him and remove harm from him."

8.135 [Machine] Abu Saeed ibn Abu Fadalah
"My father informed me, from Ibn Mina, from ABu Sa'eed bin Abi Fadalah Al-Ansari - and he was one of the Companions - who said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When Allah gathers the people on the Day of Judgement - a Day in which there is no doubt in - a caller will call out: 'Whoever committed Shirk in any of his deeds he did for Allah - then let him seek his reward from other than Allah. For indeed Allah is the most free of the partners from any need of Shirk." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3154)
8.136 [Machine] Makhnaf ibn Sulaym
[Machine] "And we were with the Prophet ﷺ while he was standing at Arafat, and he said, 'O people, indeed, every household or every family must offer a sacrifice and take a full shower every year.' He ﷺ then asked, 'Do you know what is meant by "full shower"?' Ibn 'Awn replied, 'I do not know how they interpreted it.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'This is what people call Rajabiyah.'"

[Machine] I prayed Dhuhr prayer at my house, then I went out with my sheep to graze them. I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was leading the people in Dhuhr prayer. I continued walking and did not pray with him. When I finished grazing my sheep and returned, I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He said to me, "What prevented you, O so-and-so, from praying with us when you passed by us?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I had already prayed at my house." He said, "Even so, you could have prayed with us."

[Machine] I was born and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was born in the year of the Elephant, so we were born in the same year and on the same day.

[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating by the star and the people prostrated with him. Al-Muttalib said: 'I did not prostrate with them, and I was a pagan that day.' Al-Muttalib then said: 'So I will never abandon prostrating to it.'"
His father said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited Surat An-Najm in Makkah and prostrated, and those who were with him prostrated. I raised my head and refused to prostrate." At that time Al-Muttalib had not yet accepted Islam. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 958)

"There is no Muslim soul among the people that is taken by its Lord and wishes it could come back to you, even if it had this world and everything in it, except the martyr." Ibn Abi 'Amirah said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If I were to be killed in the cause of Allah, that would be dearer to me that if all the people of the deserts and the cities were to be mine.'"[1] [1] Meaning: If they were all my slaves and I set them free. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3153)

8.141 [Machine] Mohammed bin Talha bin Obaid Allah
[Machine] "Do I not see Muhammad being insulted because of you? No, by Allah, Muhammad's name should not be mentioned as long as I am alive. He should be called Abdur-Rahman, and I have sent to the Banu Talhahi to change their names, as they were seven in number, and the leader and the eldest among them was Muhammad. So Muhammad ibn Talhah said: I swear to you by Allah, O Amir al-Mu'minin, that by Allah, they only called me Muhammad, meaning only Muhammad ﷺ . So Umar said: Get up, there is no way that I can call anything Muhammad ﷺ ."

8.142 [Machine] Uthman ibn Abi Al-Aas narrates from the Prophet ﷺ
Messenger of Allah, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'an and he confounds me. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:, That is (the doing of a) Satan (devil) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allah from it and spit three times to your left. I did that and Allah dispelled that from me. (Using translation from Muslim 2203a)
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the situation with the devil?" So he mentioned its meaning.
[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ commanded him to lead his people, and he said: 'Whoever leads a group of people, let him go easy on them, as among them are the weak, elderly, sick, and those in need. And when he prays alone, let him pray as he wishes."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There will be three Egypt's for the Muslims: one in the meeting of the two seas, one in the lake, and one in Sham. People will be terrified by three frights, and then the Dajjal will emerge among the people. Those who face the east will defeat him. The first Egypt to intercept him will be the Egypt in the meeting of the two seas. Its people will be divided into three factions: one faction will say, 'We will stay and see what happens,' another faction will join the Arabs, and another faction will join the Egypt that comes after them. With the Dajjal, there will be seventy thousand armed with armors and accompanying him, and the majority of them will be Jews and women. Then, the other Egypt that comes after will intercept him and its people will be divided into three factions: one faction will say, 'We will stay and see what happens,' another faction will join the Arabs, and another faction will join the Egypt that comes after them towards the west of Sham. The Muslims will gather at the pass of Afiq, so they send out a detachment, and when the detachment is hit, it will be severe for them. They will be affected by severe famine and hardship, to the extent that one of them will burn and consume the string of his bow. While they are in that state, a caller from magic will call, 'O people, the relief has come to you three times.' Some of them will say to others, 'Indeed, this is the voice of a satisfied man.' Then, 'Isa ibn Maryam will descend when it is time for Fajr prayer. Their leader will say to him, 'O Spirit of Allah, pray.' He will reply, 'The leaders of this Ummah are some over others.' Then, their leader will come forward and lead the prayer. When he finishes his prayer, 'Isa will take his weapon and head towards the Dajjal, and when the Dajjal sees him, he will melt just as lead melts. 'Isa will place his weapon between the Dajjal's shoulders and kill him, and the followers of the Dajjal will be defeated. That day, there will be nothing to hide from them, to the extent that the tree will say, 'O believer, there is a disbeliever behind me,' and the stone will say, 'O believer, there is a disbeliever behind me."

[Machine] He said, "Nothing will harm them that day." And he said, "He melted like lead melts."
“I am fasting.” ‘Uthman said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Fasting is a shield against the Fire just like the shield of anyone of you against fighting.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1639)
"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'It is a good fast to fast three days of each month". (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2411)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Every night, there is a specific hour in which a caller announces, 'Is there anyone who is praying to Allah, so that I may answer their prayer? Is there anyone who is asking for something, so that I may grant it to them? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, so that I may forgive them?'"
[Machine] On the authority of Uthman ibn Abi Al-Aas and a woman from the tribe of Qays, they both reported that they heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "O Allah, forgive my sins, whether committed accidentally or deliberately. O Allah, I seek Your guidance in my affairs and seek refuge in You from the evil within myself."
Messenger of Allah, appoint me the leader of the tribe in prayer. He said: You are their leader, but you should follow on who is the weakest of them: and appoint a mu'adhdhin who does not charge for the calling of adhan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 531)
[Machine] "He informed him that Uthman ibn Abi Al-Aas came to the Prophet ﷺ while suffering from a severe pain that almost nullified him. He mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ , who claimed that the Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'Place your right hand on the affected area and wipe it seven times, and say, "I seek refuge in the greatness and power of Allah from the evil I find in each wipe."'"
[Machine] "We did not practice circumcision during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, nor did we claim it."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Fasting is a shield from the punishment of Allah, just like a shield from fighting for one of you. And fasting is considered good for three days of every month."
[Machine] "And the last thing that the Prophet ﷺ advised me was to pray and consider people based on their weakest state, as they include the young, the old, and those in need."
[Machine] I entered upon Uthman ibn Abi al-Aas, and he mentioned its significance.
