Jabir b. 'Abdullah related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he related like this.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

A hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Samura b. Jundub.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ هَذَا

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), so he mentioned it in a similar way.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ بِنَحْوِهِ

[AI] When the Messenger of Allah commanded the use of bells, he mentioned something similar.

لَمَّا أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالنَّاقُوسِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he mentioned something similar.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

the Prophet ﷺ said, and the ˹narrator˺ mentioned similarly.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "To me is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he mentioned someone like him."

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said and then he mentioned the Hadith.

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺفَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage and mentioned its significance.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned something similar to it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, so he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "And he mentioned a similar one, except that he said, 'Do you want to do it willingly?'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَمِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَفُكُّ عَنْوَةً

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He who does not enter the Fire (Hell), similar to it is mentioned."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, so he mentioned something similar to it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned its meaning without attributing it to anyone.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ

"There is no 'bringing', no 'avoidance' and no Shighar in Islam." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3591)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا جَلَبَ وَلَا جَنَبَ وَلَا شِغَارَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The neighbor has the most right to be treated well."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْجَارُ أَحَقُّ بِالْجِوَارِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا بِلَالُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his likeness.

أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] It means: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be guarded by his companions, so he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَحْرُسُهُ أَصْحَابُهُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About his father, so he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he mentioned it."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, so he mentioned the same.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the conversation."

أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

Qays ibn Talq said: Talq ibn Ali visited us on a certain day during Ramadan. He remained with us till evening and broke fast with us. He then stood up and led us in the witr prayer. He then went to his mosque and led them in prayer. When the witr remained, he put forward another man and said: Lead your companions in the witr prayer, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There are no two witrs during one night. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1439)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا وِتْرَانِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ… فَذَكَرَ مَعْناهُ

[AI] About Aisha, he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "He (Malik) asked the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , how does revelation come to you, so he mentioned something similar to what Malik said."

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يَأْتِيكَ الْوَحْيُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوًا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us and mentioned us.

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Witr (odd number of units for prayer) is a right (obligation)." So he mentioned it in this way and they left it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِعدي تركوه

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ»

"Zakariyya was a carpenter." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2150)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا»

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ»
