5. Book of Rites (1/4)
The Prophet ﷺ said: He who intends to perform hajj should hasten to do so. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1732)
5.2 [Machine] Who dies without performing Hajj
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever is not prevented from performing the Hajj by an obvious need, oppressive authority, or an imprisoning illness, and dies without performing Hajj, then let them die as either a Jew or a Christian, if they wish."
5.3 [Machine] In the Prophet's ﷺ pilgrimage, there was only one pilgrimage.
[Machine] I heard Zaid ibn Arqam saying, "The Prophet ﷺ performed Hajj after his migration." He (Zaid) said, and Abu Ishaq also said, "He (the Prophet) performed Hajj before his migration."
[Machine] I asked Anas, "How many times did the Prophet ﷺ perform Hajj?" He replied, "He performed Hajj once and he performed Umrah four times. The first Umrah was the one that the pagans prevented him from completing, and the second Umrah was when they made a peace treaty with him. He returned from the upcoming year. The third Umrah was from Al-Ji'rana when he distributed the spoils of Hunain in Dhul-Qa'dah, and the fourth Umrah was performed along with his Hajj."
5.4 [Machine] How is the obligation of Hajj performed?
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Hajj (pilgrimage) has been ordained upon you." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, is it obligatory every year?" He said, "No, if I had said it was obligatory to perform Hajj every year, it would have become obligatory and anything beyond that would be voluntary."
Another chain with similar narration. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1599)

5.5 [Machine] The schedules/timings in Hajj.
The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) appointed the following places for putting on Ihram : Dhul al-Hulaifah for the people of Madina, al-Juhfah for the people of Syria and al-Qarn for the people of Najd and have been told that appointed Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1737)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ made Dhul-Huiaifa as the Miqat for the people of Medina; Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham; Qarn-al-Manazil for the people of Najd; and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen; and these Mawaqit are for the people at those very places, and besides them for those who come thorough those places with the intention of performing Hajj and ʿUmra; and whoever is living within these boundaries can assume lhram from the place he starts, and the people of Mecca can assume Ihram from Mecca. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1524)
5.6 [Machine] In Ihram, while performing ablution
[Machine] Al-Miswar ibn Makhrama and Ibn Abbas saw a person washing his head while being in the state of ihram (sacred pilgrimage clothes). They sent me to Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari and asked me, "How did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ washing his head while in the state of ihram?" So I came to Abu Ayyub and found him between the two corners of the well, with a cloth covering him. I greeted him and he pulled the cloth closer to him. I said, "My cousin Ibn Abbas sent me to you to ask how you saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ washing his head." Abu Ayyub then motioned his hands over his head, moving them forwards and backwards.

who said that he saw the Prophet disrobing for his Ihlal and to perform Ghusl. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 830)
5.7 [Machine] In the virtue of Hajj and Umrah
[Machine] "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said: A well-performed Hajj has no reward other than Paradise, and two Umrahs expiate the sins committed between them."
[Machine] From the prophet ﷺ that he said "Whoever performs Hajj to the House [of Allah] without engaging in sexual relations or committing sins will return [from Hajj] as pure and sinless as the day he was born."
5.8 [Machine] Which Hajj is the best?
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Which Hajj is better?" He replied, "Performing Tawaf (circumambulation) of the Kaaba (Al-'Aj) and offering animal sacrifice (Al-Thaj)." Al-'Aj refers to performing the Tawaf, and Al-Thaj refers to the act of sacrificing an animal.
5.9 [Machine] What the pilgrim should not wear of clothing.
a man asked the Messenger of Allah what garments we should wear when we enter Ihram. He said: "Do not wear shirts, or pants, or 'Imamahs, or burnouses, or Khuffs unless someone does not have any sandals, in which case he should wear Khuffs that come beneath the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) Wars or saffron. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2675)
He heard the Prophet [SAW] say in 'Arafat: "Whoever cannot find an Izar (waist wrapper), let him wear trousers, and whoever cannot find sandals, let him wear Khuffs (leather socks)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5325)
“He should not wear a shirt, or turbans (or head cover), pants or pajamas, hooded cloaks and no leather socks, unless he cannot find sandals, in which case he may wear leather socks but should cut them to below the ankles. And he should not wear any clothes that have been touched (dyed) with saffron or Wars.”* (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2929)

"I used to put perfume on the Messenger of Allah when he entered Ihram, using the best perfume I could find. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2690)
[Machine] I heard Aisha say, "I perfumed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I perfumed myself in Mina before he overflowed."
5.11 [Machine] In women during the state of menstruation and postpartum bleeding, when they intend to perform Hajj and reach the designated boundary.

"I asked Sa'eed bin Jubair about a man who performs Hajj and stipulates a condition. He said: 'Conditions are something that people do among themselves.' I narrated the Hadith of 'Ikrimah to him, and he narrated to me from Ibn 'Abbas, that Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair bin 'Abdul-Muttalib came to the Prophet, and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I want to perform Hajj, so what should I say?' He said: 'Say: Labbaik Allahumma! Labbaika wa mahilli min al-ardihayth tahbisuni (Here I am, O Allah, Here I am, and I shall exit Ihram at any place where You decree that I cannot proceed.)" And whatever condition you stipulate will be accepted by your Lord." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2766)

[Machine] That pleasure is permissible in the book of Allah, no prophet has forbidden it and no book has descended regarding it. A man said based on his opinion what seemed apparent to him.
5.18 [Machine] In enjoyment
[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic sentence into English is:

[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was throwing pebbles at the pillars during the Hajj. He asked me, "Have you performed Hajj?" I replied, "Yes." He then asked, "How did you perform the ritual of Ihram?" I said, "I made the intention of Ihram at the same time as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ did." He said, "You have done well. Now go and perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, then go to Safa and Marwa, and then come out of the state of Ihram." He said, "I performed Tawaf around the Kaaba, went to Safa and Marwa, and then I went to visit a woman from the Banu Qays tribe. She began to touch my hair, and I started giving religious rulings to people based on this interaction. A man said to me, 'O Abdullah bin Qays, take it easy and be cautious with some of your rulings, for you do not know what instructions the Commander of the Believers has brought regarding the rituals after you.' So, I said, 'O people, whoever we have given a religious ruling, let them be cautious, for the Commander of the Believers is coming to you with instructions. Therefore, complete your rituals.' When he arrived, I went to him and mentioned what happened. He said, 'If we follow the Book of Allah, then the Book of Allah instructs us to complete the rituals. If we follow the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not exit the state of Ihram until the sacrificial animal reached its designated place.'"
