[Machine] "While we were walking and they were forbidden, and Abu Qatadah was permissible, I saw a donkey, so I rode a horse and hit it, so they ate its meat even though it was forbidden. I did not eat it, so they came to the Prophet and asked him. He said, 'Did you indicate killing? Or did you say hitting?' They said, 'No.' He said, 'Then eat.'"  

الدارمي:١٨٦٩أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَسِيرُ وَهُمْ مُحْرِمُونَ وَأَبُو قَتَادَةَ حَلَالٌ إِذْ رَأَيْتُ حِمَارًا فَرَكِبْتُ فَرَسًا فَأَصَبْتُهُ فَأَكَلُوا مِنْ لَحْمِهِ وَهُمْ مُحْرِمُونَ وَلَمْ آكُلْ فَأَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ فَقَالَ «أَشَرْتُمْ قَتَلْتُمْ؟» أَوْ قَالَ «ضَرَبْتُمْ؟» قَالُوا لَا قَالَ «فَكُلُوا»
