My nephew, leave him for he defended Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2487a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and so and so said?

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ فُلَانٌ؟

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), so he mentioned it in a similar way.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ بِنَحْوِهِ

Abdullah ibn AbuBakr reported that he heard Urwah say: I entered upon Marwan ibn al-Hakam. We mentioned things that render the ablution void. Marwan said: Does it become void by touching the penis? Urwah replied: This I do not know. Marwan said: Busrah daughter of Safwan reported to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who touches his penis should perform ablution. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 181)

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ»

[AI] When the Messenger of Allah commanded the use of bells, he mentioned something similar.

لَمَّا أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالنَّاقُوسِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) performed Hajj exclusively (without performing ʿUmrah in the beginning). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1777)

عَنْهَا «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ»

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) the skins of beasts of prey. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4132)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ جُلُودِ السِّبَاعِ أَنْ تُفْتَرَشَ»

Nafi' reported that he heard Abu Lubaba informing Ibn 'Umar that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden the killing of domestic snakes. (Using translation from Muslim 2233f)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الضِّفْدَعِ»

[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with throwing arrows, so he mentioned something similar to it.

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with this narration...

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

(Another chain) from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a similar report. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 568)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4960)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا قَطْعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Only a wrongdoer hoards." (It was said) twice.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ» مَرَّتَيْنِ

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he mentioned something similar.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "About Ayyub, he mentioned something along with us."

عَنْ أَيُّوبَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

We testify that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) gourds, green jars, receptacles smeared with pitch, and hollowed stumps of palm-trees. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3690)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] Regarding the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a night off and mentioned its significance.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْتَمَ لَيْلَةً فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About Aisha, he mentioned his intention.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention something similar.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and mentioned something similar."

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying something similar to that.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us and mentioned us.

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

"No one hoards but a sinner."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2154)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ

[AI] His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "So he mentioned its meaning with us."

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The translation of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Is it difficult for any of you to recite and comprehend its meaning?'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The punishment of my ummah (nation) is in this world."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «عَذَابُ أُمَّتِي فِي دُنْيَاهَا»

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited ˹doing˺ "sadal" (wrapping garments around oneself and having arms tucked inside during prayer). (Using translation from Aḥmad 8582)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ السَّدْلِ وَأَنْ يُغَطِّيَ الرَّجُلُ فَاهُ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Witr (odd number of units for prayer) is a right (obligation)." So he mentioned it in this way and they left it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِعدي تركوه

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ

I heard Allah's Apostle ﷺ as saying. Every servant would be raised (in the same very state) in which he dies. (Using translation from Muslim 2878a)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يُبْعَثُ كُلُّ عَبْدٍ عَلَى مَا مَاتَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: Make a mention of the virtues of your dead, and refrain from (mentioning) their evils. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4900)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اذْكُرُوا مَحَاسِنَ مَوْتَاكُمْ وَكُفُّوا عَنْ مَسَاوِيهِمْ»

“I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah about hyenas: ‘Are they game (that can be hunted)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Can I eat them?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?’ He said: ‘Yes.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3236)

قُلْتُ أَيُؤْكَلُ الضَّبُعُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قُلْتُ أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ؟ قَالَ أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (taking hire for) a stallion's covering. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3429)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ عَسْبِ الْفَحْلِ»

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited ˹doing˺ "sadal" (wrapping garments around oneself and having arms tucked inside during prayer). (Using translation from Aḥmad 8582)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ السَّلَفِ فِي الْحَيَوَانِ»

the Messenger of Allah forbade selling water. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4660)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ»

'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Uthman al-Taimi reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade taking into custody the stray thing of the pilgrims. (Using translation from Muslim 1724)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ لُقَطَةِ الْحَاجِّ»

Abu Huraira reported a hadith like this through another chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 2653a)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُصحيح

The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, similar to him according to a Muslim condition.

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ it was said, "Do not make faces" and he mentioned the rest of the hadith.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُقَبِّحُوا الْوُجُوهَ» وَذَكَرَ بَاقِي الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] From the Prophet of Allah ﷺ , it was said, "Jacob had a foster brother." So he mentioned the hadeeth in a similar manner.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كَانَ لِيَعْقُوبَ أَخٌ مُؤَاخِيًا» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ
