"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] This passage in Arabic means: "Abu Hurayrah mentioned its meaning with us."

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The translation of the passage into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When one of you prays, he should mention its meaning.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "A man from the Ansar mentioned his story."

رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Dhuhr prayer and mentioned its meaning.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his meaning.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage and mentioned its significance.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the two things that justify a reward?" So the Prophet mentioned the hadith.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الْمُوجِبَتَانِ؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the situation with the devil?" So he mentioned its meaning.

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ حَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ mentioning something similar.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "About the Prophet, ﷺ , he mentioned along with us."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

"When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: 'Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2407)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, so he mentioned something similar to it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, then he mentioned its meaning."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned its meaning without attributing it to anyone.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ

[AI] About tumult, so he mentioned its meaning.

عَنْ هَيَّاجٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I looked up and he mentioned something similar to it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اطَّلَعْتُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The meaning of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a whip, so he mentioned its significance."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ شَمِطَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

Aishah, also reported a tradition bearing similar meaning through another chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 34)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah (may ﷺ ) said about the Dajjal (Antichrist) and mentioned something similar to him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الدَّجَّالِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned the narration.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned the narration."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا بِلَالُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his likeness.

أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] O Messenger of Allah, I have seen men who mentioned its meaning.

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned the narration.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, so he mentioned the same.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the thing that I fear most for you is to associate partners with Allah (committing shirk), and he mentioned its meaning."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the conversation."

أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned the like of it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "About Ayyub, he mentioned something along with us."

عَنْ أَيُّوبَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] Regarding the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned something similar to it.

عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a night off and mentioned its significance.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْتَمَ لَيْلَةً فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About Aisha, he mentioned his intention.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention something similar.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "So he mentioned its meaning with us."

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The translation of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Is it difficult for any of you to recite and comprehend its meaning?'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ
