“Abu Darda’ told me that he did eleven prostrations* with the Prophet ﷺ, including An-Najm.” *Eleven Ayaat of prostrations. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1055)
The Prophet ﷺ said: On the Day of Resurrection you will be called by your names and by your father's names, so give yourselves good names. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4948)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Your love for something blinds and deafens you." He said, "Abu Al-Yaman informed us and Al-Qurqusani, Muhammad ibn Mus'ab, reported it."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Part of a person's understanding (fiqh) is being kind in his provision."
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and indeed, one of us would place his hand on his head due to the intensity of the heat, and none of us was fasting except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abdullah ibn Rawaha.
[Machine] "O Allah, console my loneliness, have mercy on my solitude, and provide me with a righteous companion. Abu Darda heard this and said, "If you are sincere, then I am happy with what you said. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Among them, there is a wrongdoer who harms himself' (Quran 35:32), meaning that the wrongdoer will face consequences. That is the cause of their worries and sorrows. 'And among them, there is one who moderates' (Quran 35:32). He will be held accountable for a small account. 'And among them, there are those who excel in righteous deeds by the permission of Allah' (Quran 35:32). They are the ones who enter Paradise without being held accountable."
“We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys on a hot day, and it was extremely hot. A man would put his hand over his head because of the intense heat. No one among the people was fasting except for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ‘Abdullah bin Rawahah.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1663)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about giving to the ruler. He said, "Whatever Allah has given you without asking or seeking permission, then take it and use it." Al-Hasan, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "There is no harm in it as long as you do not become attached to it or seek honor through it."
[Machine] One day, Abu Darda entered angrily and she said, "What's the matter with you?" He said, "By Allah, I do not know anything about the affairs of Muhammad ﷺ except that they all pray together."
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed a Qa'dah (sitting) and then broke his fast. I met Thawban in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I asked him about that. He said, "I poured water for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to perform ablution."
the Prophet said: “Should I not inform you of the best of your deed, and the purest of them with your Master, and the highest of them in your ranks, and what is better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks, and they strike your necks?” They said: “Of course.” He said, “The remembrance of Allah [Most High].” [Then] Mu’adh bin Jabal [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “There is nothing that brings more salvation from the punishment of Allah than the remembrance of Allah.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3377)
Abu Al Darda said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ was in a battle. He saw a woman who was nearing the time when she was to deliver a child. “He said “Perhaps the master has intercourse with her.”. They(the people) said “Yes”. He said “I am inclined to invoke a curse on him which will enter his grave with him. How can he make it (the child) an heir when it is not lawful for him? How can he take it into his service when that is not lawful for him?” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2156)
[Machine] Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad reported to me a narration that he attributed to Abu Darda, who attributed it to the Prophet ﷺ , saying, "Shall I not inform you of your best deeds?" Then he mentioned the narration, meaning the narration of Yahya ibn Sa'id and Makkiyyin from Abdullah ibn Sa'id from Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad.
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Does it amaze any of you that one can recite one-third of the Quran in one night?" They asked, "How can anyone bear that or who can bear that?" He replied, "Say, 'He is Allah, [who is] One.'"
[Machine] Regarding the hyena, he disliked it, so I said to him, "Indeed, your people eat it." He said, "They do not know." Then, a man who was present said, "I heard Abu Darda talking about the Prophet ﷺ that he forbade every predatory animal, every thief, and every animal with fangs from the wild animals." Sa'eed said, "He spoke the truth."
I visited Abu Darda's house in Syria. I did not find him there but Umm Darda' (was present at the house). She said: Do you intend to perform Hajj during this year? I said: Yes. She said: Do supplicate Allah for blessings upon us, for Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon hiin) used to say: The supplication of a Muslim for his brother at his back (in his absence) is responded so long as he makes a supplica- tion for blessings for his brother and the commissioned Angel says: Amen, and says: May it be for you too I I went to the bazar and met Abfi Dardi' and he narrated like this from Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 2733)
[Machine] A companion said, "Indeed, I will provide you with something better than that which you asked for. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy have taken over the worldly life and the Hereafter. We pray and they pray, we fast and they fast, we give charity and they give charity, but we do not give charity as much as they do.' He ﷺ said, 'Shall I not direct you to something that, if you do it, nobody will surpass you before you or catch up with you after you, except for someone who does the same as you?' For each prayer, say thirty-three times 'Subhanallah' (glory be to Allah), thirty-three times 'Alhamdulillah' (praise be to Allah), and thirty-four times 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the greatest)."
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If there are three men in a village or in the desert among whom prayer is not offered (in congregation), the devil has got the mastery over them. So observe (prayer) in congregation), for the wolf eats only the straggling animal. Sa'ib said: By the word Jama'ah he meant saying prayer in company or in congregation. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 547)
[Machine] Narrated by Al-Sa'ib ibn Hubaysh Al-Kalaa'i, he mentioned it.
If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal. (Using translation from Muslim 809a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , sacrificed two male sheep.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed two castrated rams at dawn.
"A man from Al-Madinah came to Abu Ad-Darda when he was in Dimashq. So he said: 'What brings you O my nephew?' He replied: 'A Hadith reached me which you have narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' He said: 'You did not come for some need?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Did you come for trade?' He said: 'No, I did not come except seeking this Hadith.' So he said: 'Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever takes a path upon which he seeks knowledge, then Allah makes a path to Paradise easy for him. And indeed the angels lower their wings in approval to the one seeking knowledge. Indeed forgiveness is sought for the knowledgeable one by whomever is in the heavens and whomever is in the earth, even the fish in the waters. And superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the rest of the celestial bodies. Indeed the scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets do not leave behind Dinar or Dirham. The only legacy of the scholars is knowledge, so whoever takes from it, then he has indeed taken the most able share. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2682)
[Machine] A man approached from the city and mentioned his purpose.
a man's father or mother - Shu'bah (one of the namators) was not sure - ordered him to divorce his wife, and he made a vow that he would free one hundred slaves if he did that. He came to Abu Darda' while he was praying the Duha, and he was making his prayer lengthy, and he prayed between Zuhr and 'Asr. Then he asked him and Abu Darda' said: "Fulfill your vow and honor your parents." Abu Ad-Darda' said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: '(Honoring) one's father may lead one to enter through the best of the gates of Paradise; so take care of your parents, (it is so, whether you take care of them) or not. " (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2089)
"A man made a will leaving some Dinars (to be spent) in the cause of Allah. Abu Ad-Darda' was asked about that, and he narrated that the Prophet said: 'The likeness of the one who frees a slave or gives some charity when he is dying, is that of a man who gives a gift after he has eaten his fill.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3614)
"My brother willed a portion of his wealth to me. So I met Abu Ad-Darda and said: 'My brother has willed a portion of his wealth to me, so where do you suggest that I should give it- to the poor, the needy, or the Mujahidin in Allah's Cause?' He said: 'As for me, then I would not consider them equal to the Mujahidin. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "The parable of the one who frees a slave at the time of his death is that of the one who gives a gift when he is satisfied (fulfilled his needs)." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2123)
[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, is recitation a requirement in every prayer?" He replied, "Yes." Then a man from the Ansar said, "Then this becomes obligatory."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No sun has ever risen except that two angels are sent on its sides, calling out and making themselves heard by all the people on Earth, except the two heavyweights. O people, come to your Lord, for what is little and sufficient is better than what is abundant and distracting." And no sun has ever set except that two angels are sent on its sides, calling out and making themselves heard by all the people on Earth, except the two heavyweights. O Allah, give the spender back (blessings in return) and give the withholder (blessings in return), and give the destroyer (blessings in return).

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, Allah has granted every servant of His five provisions: his lifespan, his actions, his resting place, his livelihood, and his traces."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Allah has allotted to every servant five things: his lifespan, his sustenance, his deeds, and whether he will be miserable or happy.
[Machine] He visited Abu Darda in Homs and stayed with him for several nights. He ordered his donkey to be brought to him, so it was brought to him. Abu Darda said, "I only see myself being followed by you." So he ordered his donkey to be saddled, and they both rode on their donkeys. They met a man who had witnessed the Friday prayer yesterday with Muawiyah in Al-Jabiya. The man recognized both of them, but they did not recognize him. The man informed them of the news that people were talking about. Then, the man said, "I have another news that I disliked telling you, which is that I saw you both being hated." Abu Darda said, "Perhaps Abu Dharr was exiled?" The man said, "Yes, by Allah." Abu Darda and his companion turned back several times, then Abu Darda said, "Wait for them and be patient, as it was said to the owners of camels. O Allah, if they accuse Abu Dharr of lying, I do not accuse him of lying. O Allah, if they accuse him falsely, I do not accuse him falsely. O Allah, if they doubt him, I do not doubt him. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ trusted him when he did not trust anyone else, and he confided in him when he did not confide in anyone else. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Darda, if Abu Dharr severed my hand, I would still hate him after what I have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he said, 'Green plants cannot mislead you or deceive you more than someone with eloquent speech like Abu Dharr.'"

[Machine] Indeed, my wife is the daughter of my maternal aunt and I love her. However, my mother is commanding me to divorce her. He (the Prophet) said, "I do not command you to divorce her, and I do not command you to disobey your mother. But I will tell you something I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Indeed, the mother is the middle door of Paradise. So if you wish, hold on to her, and if you wish, let her go.'"

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Allah says, "Then We have given the Book as inheritance to those We have chosen of Our servants, and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah. Then as for those who are foremost in good deeds, they will be the ones who will enter Paradise to enjoy [its blessings] without [any] accounting. And as for those who were moderate in good deeds, they will have [only] a moderate reward. And as for those who were wrongdoers, they will have a share of punishment proportionate to their sins. And they will not be wronged. Then it is they who will be the ones to burn in Hell, and Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And for them is painful punishment." Until His saying, "They are the ones who will say, 'Praise be to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative. He has granted us Paradise, flowing with rivers of milk, honey and wine.' " Until His saying, "but the sinners will abide eternally in Hellfire."
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that the headache and dizziness will continue to afflict the believer, and his sins are like the size of Mount Uhud, but it does not leave him except for the weight of a mustard seed."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs the Friday prayer, then washes himself, wears clean clothes, applies perfume if available, walks to the prayer without pushing or harming anyone, observes the prescribed number of units of prayer, and waits for the Imam until he finishes, he will be forgiven from one Jumu'ah to the next."
It was narrated that Ubayy ibn Ka'b said, "One day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on the pulpit, delivered a sermon to the people, and recited a verse. I was sitting next to him and I asked, 'O Ubayy, when was this verse revealed?' He refused to respond to me. I asked him again but he still refused to answer until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his sermon. Then I went to him and informed him. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you recited a verse and Ubayy was sitting next to me. I asked him when it was revealed and he refused to answer until you finished. Then he said to me, 'O Ubayy, you have nothing from your Friday prayer except what you have paid attention to.' So when you hear your Imam speaking, listen to him until he finishes."
