ahmad:22666Hushaym > Manṣūr > al-Ḥasan > Ḥiṭṭān b. ʿAbdullāh al-Raqāshī > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

Receive my teachings, receive my teachings. Allah has appointed a way for those women. If the parties have been married, they shall receive a hundred lashes and stoned to death. If the parties are unmarried, they shall receive a hundred lashes and banished for a year. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4415)

ahmad:22667Muʿtamir b. Sulaymān > Ḥumayd > Anas > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek it in the ninth, seventh, and fifth nights, meaning the Night of Decree."

ahmad:22668Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm > Khālid al-Ḥadhhāʾ > Abū Qilābah > Khālid Aḥsibuh Dhakarah > Abū Asmāʾ

[Machine] Worship bin Saamit said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a pledge from us, just as he took a pledge from the women, to not associate anything with Allah, to not steal, to not commit adultery, to not kill our children, to not harm one another, to not disobey me in that which is known. Whoever among you commits any of these sins, the punishment for him will be hastened, and it will serve as an expiation for him. But if the punishment is delayed, then his matter is left to Allah, who will either punish him or have mercy on him, as He wishes.

ahmad:22669Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Khālid > Abū Qilābah > Abū al-Ashʿathiʿan ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ treated us as he treated women or as he treated people, and he mentioned its meaning.

ahmad:22671Muḥammad b. Salamah > Ibn Isḥāq > Makḥūl > Maḥmūd b. al-Rabīʿ > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with us and recited, and the recitation became difficult for him. When he finished, he said, "Do you recite?" We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Do not recite except with the Opening of the Book (Surah Al-Fatiha), for there is no prayer without it."

ahmad:22672Muḥammad b. Abū ʿAdī > Ḥumayd > Anas > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us wanting to inform us about the Night of Qadr (Decree). Two men began quarreling, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I came out wanting to inform you about the Night of Qadr, but two men quarreled, so it was raised up (knowledge of it) and it may be better for you. So seek it on the ninth, or the seventh, or the fifth night."

ahmad:22673al-Walīd b. Muslim > al-Awzāʿī > ʿUmayr b. Hāniʾ al-ʿAnsī > Junādah b. Abū Umayyah > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever wakes up in the night and says, ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs the Dominion, and to Him is the praise, and He has power over all things. And Glory is to Allah, and all the praise is to Allah, and ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and Allah is the greatest, and there is no might nor power except by Allah (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shai'in qadīr. Wa subḥān Allah, walḥamdulillāh, wa lā ilāha illallāh, wa Allāhu akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.)’ – then he said: ‘O my Lord, forgive me (Rabbighfirlī)’ – or he said – ‘then he supplicates, he shall be responded to. So he makes a firm determination, then performs Wudu', then he performs Salat, his Salat shall be accepted.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3414)

ahmad:22674ʿAffān > Ḥammād > Thābit al-Bunānī And Ḥumayd > Anas b. Mālik > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ went out one night to his companions, intending to inform them about the Night of Decree. He mentioned the hadith, except that he said, 'Seek it in the last ten nights, on the ninth, seventh, or fifth.'"

ahmad:22675al-Walīd b. Muslim > al-Awzāʿī > ʿUmayr b. Hāniʾ > Junādah b. Abū Umayyah > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The passage translates to English as:

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah alone, without any partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, and that Jesus is the servant of Allah and His messenger, and His word which He conveyed to Mary, and a soul created by Him, and that Paradise is true and Hellfire is true, Allah will admit him into Paradise, regardless of his deeds.'"

ahmad:22676al-Walīd > Ibn Jābir > ʿUmayr b. Hāniʾ > Bihadhā al-Ḥadīth > Junādah > ʿUbādah

[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, nothing could be said except that Allah admitted him into Paradise through its eight gates, entering through whichever one he pleased.

ahmad:22677Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah > al-Zuhrī > Maḥmūd b. al-Rabīʿ

[Machine] According to the narration of Ubada bin As-Samit, the Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for someone who does not recite Al-Fatiha."

ahmad:22678Sufyān > al-Zuhrī > Abū Idrīs al-Khawlāniyyiʿan ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

"We were with the Prophet ﷺ [in a gathering] and he said: 'Pledge to me that you will not associate [anything as] partners with Allah, and that you will not steal nor commit adultery.' He recited to them the Ayah. (And he said:)'Whoever among you dies, then this reward is with Allah, and whoever among you does some of this and then he is punished, it is atonement for him. And whoever does some of this and Allah covers it for him, then it is up to Allah; if He wills, He will punish them, and if He wills, He will forgive him.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1439)

ahmad:22679Sufyān > Yaḥyá > ʿUbādah b. al-Walīd b. ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit Samiʿah from his grandfather > Sufyān Marrah from his grandfather ʿUbādah

[Machine] Sufyan and Ubada are nobles and they are among the seven who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to listen and obey, whether in ease or hardship, in times of ease or difficulty, willingly or unwillingly. We do not dispute the authority of those in charge and we speak the truth wherever we are, without fear of blame in Allah’s sight. Sufyan said, "Some people have added things that you have not seen—hidden disbelief."

ahmad:22680Isḥāq b. ʿĪsá > Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh > Abū Bakr b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Maryam > Abū Sallām al-Aʿraj > al-Miqdām b. Maʿdī Karib > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Strive in the way of Allah, for indeed, jihad in the way of Allah is a door among the doors of Paradise, through which Allah saves one from worries and grief."

ahmad:22681Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Manṣūr > Hilāl b. Yisāf > Abū al-Muthanná > Ibn Āmraʾah ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

“There will be leaders who will be distracted by matters and they will delay the prayer until after its proper time. So make your prayer with them voluntary.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1257)

ahmad:22682Ḥajjāj > Shuʿbah > Manṣūr > Hilāl b. Yasāf > Abū al-Muthanná > Ibn Āmraʾah ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned something similar to it.

ahmad:22683Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm > Khālid > Abū Qilābah > Abū al-Ashʿath

[Machine] There were people who used to sell silver from the spoils of war in exchange for currency. Ubada ibn As-Samit narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade exchanging gold for gold, silver for silver, dates for dates, barley for barley, and salt for salt, except in equal amounts and at the same time. Whoever increases or asks for an increase has conducted usury.

ahmad:22684Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Shuʿbah > Abū Bakr b. Ḥafṣ > Ibn al-Muṣabbiḥ or Abū al-Muṣabbiḥ > Ibn al-Simṭ > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned to Abdullah ibn Rawahah. He couldn't find his bed, so he asked, "Who are the martyrs of my ummah?" They replied, "The killing of a Muslim is martyrdom." He said, "Indeed, the martyrs of my ummah are few. The killing of a Muslim is martyrdom, and so is death due to plague, stomach disease, drowning, or a woman being killed by her child altogether."

ahmad:22685Wakīʿ > Hishām b. al-Ghāz > ʿUbādah b. Nusay > ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "How do you count the martyr among you?" They said: "The one who fights and is killed in the cause of Allah." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, the martyrs of my Ummah are few. The one killed in the cause of Allah is a martyr, the one who dies of the plague is a martyr, the one who dies of a stomach illness is a martyr, and a woman who dies due to childbirth is a martyr."

How shall I know the good of destiny from its bad?" He said, "You must know that what has missed you was not going to hit you, and what has hit you was not going to miss you. O my son!
