[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "What do you think if a man comes to steal from me or take my wealth without my permission, what should I do?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "You should seek the help of Allah against him." The man asked, "What if I do that and he does not stop?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then seek the help of the ruler." The man asked, "What if there is no one near me from the rulers?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then you should strive against him or fight him until you become among the martyrs, or you prevent him from taking your wealth."  

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْرِقَنِي أَوْ يَأْخُذَ مِنِّي مَالِي مَا تَأْمُرُنِي بِهِ؟ قَالَ تُعْظِمُ عَلَيْهِ بِاللهِ قَالَ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتُ فَلَمْ يَنْتَهِ؟ قَالَ تَسْتَعْدِي السُّلْطَانَ قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِقُرْبِي مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ؟ قَالَ تُجَاهِدُهُ أَوْ تُقَاتِلُهُ حَتَّى تُكْتَبَ فِي شُهَدَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ أَوْ تَمْنَعَ مَالَكَ  

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet and said, "What do you think if a man comes to take my wealth?" The Prophet said, "Remind him of Allah." The man asked, "What if I remind him of Allah and he refuses?" The Prophet said, "Then seek help against him from the ruler." The man asked, "What if the ruler is distant from me?" The Prophet said, "Then seek help against him from the Muslims." The man asked, "What if no one from the Muslims is present and he is hastening upon me?" The Prophet said, "Then fight him until you regain your wealth or are killed, and you will be among the martyrs of the Hereafter."  

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَتَانِي رَجُلٌ يَأْخُذُ مَالِي؟ قَالَ تُذَكِّرُهُ بِاللهِ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ ذَكَّرْتُهُ بِاللهِ فَأَبَى؟ قَالَ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتُ فَلَمْ يَنْتَهِ قَالَ تَسْتَعِينُ عَلَيْهِ بِالسُّلْطَانِ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ السُّلْطَانُ مِنِّي نَائِيًا؟ قَالَ تَسْتَعِينُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ لَمْ يَحْضُرْنِي أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَجِلَ عَلَيَّ؟ قَالَ فَقَاتِلْ حَتَّى تَحْرُزَ مَالَكَ أَوْ تُقْتَلَ فَتَكُونَ فِي شُهَدَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ
