A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: (These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then (the Angels) supporting the Throne sing His glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it. (Using translation from Muslim 2229a)

[Machine] I was informed by men from the Ansar, companions of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , that they were sitting with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , one night when a shooting star appeared. They mentioned the incident, except that they said, "When our Lord decrees a matter, the bearers of the Throne and those around them glorify Him. Then those after them glorify Him, until the glorification reaches the lowest heaven. Then the bearers of the Throne ask the bearers of the Throne, 'What did your Lord say?' They reply, 'The truth, and He is the Most High, the Great.' Then they say, 'Such and such.' They inform the residents of the heavens about it, until the news reaches the lower heaven. The devils come and listen to the news, and they throw it to their allies, who in turn throw it to their allies. What they say is true, but they increase and exaggerate in it and add and subtract from it."

[Machine] "And Aisha narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became ill, he would toss and turn and spread a cloth over his face. So when it became dark, we would remove it from him, and he would say, 'May Allah curse the Jews and Christians, for they have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship.' Aisha said, 'He warned them against what they had done.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ read in prayers and remained silent, so we read what the Prophet of Allah had read in them and remain silent in what he had remained silent in. It was said to him, "Perhaps he was reciting to himself." So he became angry at this and said, "Will you accuse the Messenger of Allah?" Ibn Ja'far and Abdur-Razzaq said, "Do you accuse the Messenger of Allah?"
