Jabir b. 'Abdullah related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he related like this.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ borrowed. He then transmitted the rest of the tradition to the same effect.

اسْتَعَارَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] That a man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned with him.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] Abu Jahl mentioned its meaning.

أَبُو جَهْلٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, so he mentioned its meaning.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'When one of you swears an oath, then mention it.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا حَلَفَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺفَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The translation of the passage into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When one of you prays, he should mention its meaning.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "When one of you completes his prayer, then let him mention its meaning."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ صَلَاتَهُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned his issue."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Dhuhr prayer and mentioned its meaning.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "They are called the Qurra, so he mentioned its meaning."

يُقَالُ لَهُمُ الْقُرَّاءُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to sacrifice two sheep, and he mentioned their meaning.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] He mentioned the narration except that he said, "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped it."

فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَكَوَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his meaning.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage and mentioned its significance.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

“The thing that I most fear for my nation is the action of the people of Lut.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2563)

وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي عَمَلُ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ

By Allah, I am certain that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that. (Using translation from Aḥmad 101)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْهُ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, so he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the situation with the devil?" So he mentioned its meaning.

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ حَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, so he mentioned something similar to it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, then he mentioned its meaning."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned its meaning without attributing it to anyone.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ

[AI] "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and he mentioned its significance to us."

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The meaning of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a whip, so he mentioned its significance."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ شَمِطَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا بِلَالُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his likeness.

أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] O Messenger of Allah, I have seen men who mentioned its meaning.

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned the narration.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , delivered a speech and mentioned its meaning to us.

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he mentioned it."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the thing that I fear most for you is to associate partners with Allah (committing shirk), and he mentioned its meaning."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ… فَذَكَرَ مَعْناهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a night off and mentioned its significance.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْتَمَ لَيْلَةً فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "So he mentioned its meaning with us."

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you are invited to a wedding feast, you must go to it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةٍ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] Regarding the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "When one of you prays, let them wear an izar and cover their shoulders."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَّزِرْ وَلْيَرْتَدِ»
