The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Al-Bara’ (b. ‘Azib) from the prophet (May peace be upon him) through a different chain of narrators is a similar way.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] When the Messenger of Allah commanded the use of bells, he mentioned something similar.
لَمَّا أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالنَّاقُوسِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
[AI] "From Abu Dharr, towards him."
عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ نَحْوَهُ
"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)
أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
[AI] "From Aisha in his way"
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنَحْوِهِ
(Another chain) from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a similar report. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 568)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ
[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he mentioned something similar.
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned its meaning without attributing it to anyone.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ
[AI] About tumult, so he mentioned its meaning.
عَنْ هَيَّاجٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I looked up and he mentioned something similar to it."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اطَّلَعْتُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
"There is no 'bringing', no 'avoidance' and no Shighar in Islam." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3591)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا جَلَبَ وَلَا جَنَبَ وَلَا شِغَارَ
[AI] He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his likeness.
أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
[AI] O Messenger of Allah, I have seen men who mentioned its meaning.
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] It means: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be guarded by his companions, so he mentioned something similar to it."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَحْرُسُهُ أَصْحَابُهُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] "About Ayyub, he mentioned something along with us."
عَنْ أَيُّوبَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] Regarding the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned something similar to it.
عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a night off and mentioned its significance.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْتَمَ لَيْلَةً فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] About Aisha, he mentioned his intention.
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] "He (Malik) asked the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , how does revelation come to you, so he mentioned something similar to what Malik said."
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يَأْتِيكَ الْوَحْيُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوًا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ نَحْوَهُ
"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ
[AI] I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Won't you marry my sister?" So he mentioned the narration.
قُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا تَزَوَّجُ أُخْتِي؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."
بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention something similar.
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and mentioned something similar."
خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] "About his father, similar to it (or like it)."
عَنْ أَبِيهِ نَحْوَهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us and mentioned us.
صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ
"No one hoards but a sinner."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2154)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَحْتَكِرُ إِلَّا خَاطِئٌ
[AI] His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "So he mentioned its meaning with us."
أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
[AI] I asked Abu Darda about a man from the people of Egypt, and he mentioned something from the Prophet ﷺ and something similar to it.
عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَذَكَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
[AI] The translation of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Is it difficult for any of you to recite and comprehend its meaning?'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
So he mentioned it in similar wording.
فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ
[AI] That the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Witr (odd number of units for prayer) is a right (obligation)." So he mentioned it in this way and they left it.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِعدي تركوه
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ
The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ
Abu Huraira reported a hadith like this through another chain of transmitters. (Using translation from Muslim 2653a)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُصحيح
The same as No. 290. from the Prophet. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1199b)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ
ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْعِيدِ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fasting is a shield."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2224)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا صَوْمَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ» *
ذِكْرُ إِبَاحَةِ إِطْلَاقِ اسْمِ الْفِسْقَ عَلَى غَيْرِ أَوْلَادِ آدَمَ وَالشَّيَاطِينَ
"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ»
ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ كُلَّ شَرَابٍ حُكْمُهُ أَنْ يُسْكِرَ حَرَامٌ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ شُرْبُهُ
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Every intoxicant is unlawful.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3387)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ»
ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ الْوَشْمِ إِذِ الْفَاعِلُ وَالْمَفْعُولُ بِهِ ذَلِكَ مَلْعُونَانِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The evil eye is a fact," and he forbade tattooing. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5944)
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ» وَنَهَى عَنِ الْوَشْمِ «
ذِكْرُ إِبَاحَةِ إِطْلَاقِ اسْمِ الْفِسْقِ عَلَى غَيْرِ أَوْلَادِ آدَمَ وَالشَّيَاطِينِ
"Geckos are vermin." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2886)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَزَغُ فُوَيْسِقٌ»
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, this epidemic is a form of punishment." And he mentioned the hadith.
