[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I looked up and he mentioned something similar to it."  

أحمد:١٩٨٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ زَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اطَّلَعْتُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)   

أحمد:١٣٨٧٧ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ  

ahmad:18027 – Rawḥ > Shuʿbah > Sulaymān > Sālim b. Abū al-Jaʿd > Abū Kabshah al-Anmārī

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The example of my Ummah (community) is like that of four people." And he mentioned the Hadith.  

أحمد:١٨٠٢٧ – حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا كَبْشَةَ الْأَنْمَارِيَّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ أَرْبَعَةٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ  

ahmad:12462 – Ḥasan b. Mūsá > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit And Ḥumayd Wayūnus > al-Ḥasan

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The example of my Ummah (nation) is like a palm tree and its mention."  

أحمد:١٢٤٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَحُمَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي فَذَكَرَهُ  

ahmad:18371 – Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > al-Shaʿbī > al-Nuʿmān b. Bashīr

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "The example of one who adheres to the limits set by Allah is like that of someone who mentioned it."  

أحمد:١٨٣٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ الْقَائِمِعَلَى حُدُودِ اللهِ فَذَكَرَهُ  

ahmad:19254 – Ḥajjāj > Sharīk > Abū Isḥāq > al-Mundhir b. Jarīr from his father

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)   

أحمد:١٩٢٥٤ – حَدَّثَنَاهُ حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ  

ahmad:19346 – Abū Aḥmad > Khālid b. Ṭahmān Abū al-ʿAlāʾ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ  

ahmad:19394 – ʿAbdullāh b. al-Walīd > Sufyān > Manṣūr > Ibrāhīm > Hammām > ʿAdī b. Ḥātim

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, then he mentioned its meaning."  

أحمد:١٩٣٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ  

ahmad:27033 – ʿAffān > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Muḥammad b. Yaḥyá b. Ḥabbān > Anas b. Mālik > Um Ḥarām

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.  

أحمد:٢٧٠٣٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أُمِّ حَرَامٍ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ  

ahmad:19736 – Abū Aḥmad / al-Zubayrī > Isrāʾīl > Abū Isḥāq > Abū Burdah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned its meaning without attributing it to anyone.  

أحمد:١٩٧٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ يَعْنِي الزُّبَيْرِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ  

ahmad:20242 – ʿAbd al-Ṣamad And ʿAffān > Ḥammād b. Salamah > al-Ashʿath b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Jarmī from his father > Samurah b. Jundub > a man

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)   

أحمد:٢٠٢٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
