[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The example of my Ummah (community) is like that of four people." And he mentioned the Hadith.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ أَرْبَعَةٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave an example of this nation, resembling four individuals, and then mentioned the narration.

ضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ مَثَلَ أَرْبَعَةِ نَفَرٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ  

ahmad:17108 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Manṣūr > Ribʿī b. Ḥirāsh > Abū Masʿūd al-Anṣārī

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned something similar to it."  

أحمد:١٧١٠٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيَّ بْنَ حِرَاشٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ  

ahmad:12462 – Ḥasan b. Mūsá > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit And Ḥumayd Wayūnus > al-Ḥasan

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The example of my Ummah (nation) is like a palm tree and its mention."  

أحمد:١٢٤٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَحُمَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي فَذَكَرَهُ  

ahmad:18372 – Abū Nuʿaym > Zakariyyā > ʿĀmir > al-Nuʿmān b. Bashīr

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of the one who upholds the limits of Allah is like that of a narration mentioned."  

أحمد:١٨٣٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَامِرًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ الْقَائِمِ عَلَى حُدُودِ اللهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ  

ahmad:18375 – Abū Nuʿaym > Zakariyyā > ʿĀmir > al-Nuʿmān b. Bashīr

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of the believers is like that of a conversation."  

أحمد:١٨٣٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَامِرًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلُالْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ  

ahmad:19170 – Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Zayd b. Wahb > Jarīr b. ʿAbdullāh

أحمد:٢١٥٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ وُهْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ  

ahmad:19853 – ʿAbd al-Ṣamad > Salm b. Zarīr > Abū Rajāʾʿan ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I looked up and he mentioned something similar to it."  

أحمد:١٩٨٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ زَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اطَّلَعْتُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ  

ahmad:20249 – Hushaym > Yūnus > al-Ḥasan

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar to it.  

أحمد:٢٠٢٤٩ – حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ  

darimi:2392 – Muḥammad b. Yūsuf > Sufyān > Yūnus > al-Ḥasan > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Samurah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)   

الدارمي:٢٣٩٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
