Jabir b. 'Abdullah related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he related like this.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give me a grant, and he mentioned its meaning.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعْطِينِي الْعَطَاءَ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.

[AI] That a man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned with him.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "So he mentioned the like of it."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] Abu Jahl mentioned its meaning.

أَبُو جَهْلٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, so he mentioned its meaning.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺعَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "To me is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he mentioned someone like him."

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said and then he mentioned the Hadith.

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺفَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Prophet, ﷺ , say on the pulpit and he mentioned its meaning.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "A man from the Ansar mentioned his story."

رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Dhuhr prayer and mentioned its meaning.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his meaning.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage and mentioned its significance.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned something similar to it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, so he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "About the Prophet, ﷺ , he mentioned along with us."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, so he mentioned something similar to it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, then he mentioned its meaning."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned its meaning without attributing it to anyone.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ

[AI] About tumult, so he mentioned its meaning.

عَنْ هَيَّاجٍ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The passage translates to: "About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned something along those lines."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The meaning of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a whip, so he mentioned its significance."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ شَمِطَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah (may ﷺ ) said about the Dajjal (Antichrist) and mentioned something similar to him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الدَّجَّالِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا بِلَالُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard Abu Dharr, so he mentioned its meaning.

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] O Messenger of Allah, I have seen men who mentioned its meaning.

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , delivered a speech and mentioned its meaning to us.

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, so he mentioned the same.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned the like of it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] "About Ayyub, he mentioned something along with us."

عَنْ أَيُّوبَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About Aisha, he mentioned his intention.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ
