61. Sacrificial Animals
٦١۔ كِتَابُ الضَّحَايَا
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, my brother's stomach is bloated." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Give him honey to drink." So, he gave him honey to drink, but it did not relieve him, it only made his condition worse. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Give him honey to drink in the third or fourth time." So, he gave him honey to drink again and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has spoken the truth and your brother's stomach has lied." Then he gave him honey to drink again and he was cured.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ بَطْنَ أَخِي قَدِ اسْتَطْلَقَ فَقَالَ اسْقِهِ الْعَسَلَ فَسَقَاهُ فَقَالَ قَدْ سَقَيْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُ إِلَّا اسْتِطْلَاقًا فَقَالَ اسْقِهِ عَسَلًا فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَدَقَ اللهُ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ اسْقِهِ عَسَلًا فَسَقَاهُ فَبَرَأَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let honey and the Quran be your remedy. The elevation of the latter is unknown, and the Saheeh is suspended. Waki' narrated it from Sufyan as suspended."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالشِّفَاءَيْنِ الْعَسَلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ رَفْعُهُ غَيْرُ مَعْرُوفٍ وَالصَّحِيحُ مَوْقُوفٌ وَرَوَاهُ وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ مَوْقُوفًا
[Machine] In the Quran there are two healings, the Quran itself is a healing and honey is a healing. The Quran is a healing for what is in the chests and honey is a healing for every disease.
فِي الْقُرْآنِ شِفَاءَانِ الْقُرْآنُ وَالْعَسَلُ الْقُرْآنُ شِفَاءٌ لِمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَالْعَسَلُ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying to the people of Yemen, "Take this black seed, for it contains a cure for every disease except death."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِلشُّونِيزِ عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ فَإِنَّ فِيهَا شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَوْ دَاءٍ إِلَّا السَّامَ يُرِيدُ بِهِ الْمَوْتَ
[Machine] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: 'The Kam'ah (a type of barley) from the manna and its water is a cure for the eye.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever starts their day by eating seven dates from the Ajwa variety, they will not be harmed that day by poison or magic."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَصَبَّحَ بِسَبْعِ تَمَرَاتٍ مِنْ عَجْوَةٍ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ سُمٌّ وَلَا سِحْرٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever eats seven dates from what is between his two hands in the morning, it will not harm him until the evening." Abu Zakariya ibn Abi Ishaq reported to us that Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Daybali in Makkah informed us that Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Zaid as-Sa'igh told us, narrating from Abdullah ibn Muslimah al-Qa'nabi, who narrated from Sulaiman ibn Bilal, who heard it from Abdullah ibn Abdul Rahman, and he mentioned it.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَكَلَ سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ مِمَّا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا حِينَ يُصْبِحُ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّيْبَلِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الصَّائِغُ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فَذَكَرَهُ
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has also sent down its cure, except for one disease: old age. So, use cow's milk, for it comes from every tree."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَمْ يُنْزِلْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً إِلَّا السَّامَ فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِأَلْبَانِ الْبَقَرِ فَإِنَّهَا تَرُمُّ مِنْ كُلِّ شَجَرٍ
[Machine] She said to her, "Apply cow's milk or its butter to the wound, for indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that its milk or its whey is a cure, its butter is a remedy, and its meat or its fats are a disease."
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لَهَا عَلَيْكَ بِسَمْنِ الْبَقَرِ مِنَ الذِّبْحَةِ أَوْ مِنَ الْقَرْحَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَلْبَانَهَا أَوْ لَبَنَهَا شِفَاءٌ وَسَمْنَهَا دَوَاءٌ وَلَحْمَهَا أَوْ لُحُومَهَا دَاءٌ
[Machine] She used to order the rubbing of the head for the sick and grieving over the deceased, and she would say: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Rubbing the head soothes the heart of the sick person and removes some of the grief.'"
كَانَتْ تَأْمُرُ بِالتَّلْبِينَةِ لِلْمَرِيضِ وَالْمَحْزُونِ عَلَى الْهَالِكِ وَتَقُولُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ التَّلْبِينَةُ تُجِمُّ فُؤَادَ الْمَرِيضِ وَتُذْهِبُ بَعْضَ الْحُزْنِ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'I advise you to use a tooth stick, for it is a purifier for the mouth and is pleasing to the Lord.' And by the One in Whose hand is my soul, it cleans the stomach of one of you just as one of you cleans his face with water from filth.' She, may Allah be pleased with her, said, 'Whenever someone from his family complained of something, the tooth stick would not leave the fire until it came to one of his two sides.'"
رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عَلَيْكِ بِالتَّلْبِينِ الْبَغِيضِ النَّافِعِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُ يَغْسِلُ بَطْنَ أَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يَغْسِلُ أَحَدُكُمْ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ مِنَ الْوَسَخِ وَقَالَتْ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ شَيْئًا لَا تَزَالُ الْبُرْمَةُ عَلَى النَّارِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ عَلَى أَحَدِ طَرَفَيْهِ
[Machine] I entered with my son to the Prophet, ﷺ , while I had hung him or said about him from the amulet. He said, "Why do you use this talisman to protect your children? Use this Indian incense, as it contains healing from seven diseases. It helps with the amulet and helps with childbirth."
دَخَلْتُ بِابْنٍ لِي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَدْ أَعْلَقْتُ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ قَالَ عَنْهُ مِنَ الْعُذْرَةِ قَالَ عَلَامَ تَدْغَرْنَ أَوْلَادَكُنَّ بِهَذَا الْعِلَاقِ؟ عَلَيْكُنَّ بِهَذَا الْعُودِ الْهِنْدِيِّ فَإِنَّ فِيهِ شِفَاءً مِنْ سَبْعَةِ أَشْفِيَةٍ يُسْعَطُ بِهِ مِنَ الْعُذْرَةِ وَيُلَدُّ بِهِ مِنْ ذَاتِ الْجَنْبِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Treat (or heal) your wounds on the right side with oil and sea-salt." This was narrated by Abdur Rahman ibn Maymun from his father from Zaid ibn Arqam who said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recommended for us the applying of bandages, oil, and sea-salt for wounds on the right side."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَدَاوَوْا مِنْ ذَاتِ الْجَنْبِ بِالزَّيْتِ وَالْقُسْطِ الْبَحْرِيِّ وَرَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ؓ قَالَ نَعَتَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ الْجَنْبِ وَرْسًا وَزَيْتًا وَقُسْطًا
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Dawud reported in Al-Marasil that the two things that bring healing are patience and good companionship."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَاذَا فِي الْأَمَرَّيْنِ مِنَ الشِّفَاءِ الصَّبِرِ وَالثُّفَّاءِ أَوْرَدَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي الْمَرَاسِيلِ
[Machine] "The best remedies are cauterization, cupping, walking, and Hijama (bloodletting). This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawood in Al-Maraseel and narrated by Abbad ibn Mansur from Ikrimah from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The best remedies with which you treat yourselves are cauterization, cupping, walking, and using antimony, and Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Apply antimony, for it clears the vision and promotes the growth of hair.'"
ﷺ خَيْرُ الدَّوَاءِ السَّعُوطُ وَاللَّدُودُ وَالْحِجَامَةُ وَالْمَشِيُّ وَالْعَلَقُ هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ أَوْرَدَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي الْمَرَاسِيلِ وَرَوَاهُ عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ السَّعُوطُ وَاللَّدُودُ وَالْحِجَامَةُ وَالْمَشِيُّ وَرُوِّينَا فِيمَا مَضَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْإِثْمِدِ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ asked me, "What do you walk with?" I said, "With the cane." He said, "It's hot." She said, "Then I said, I walked with the stick." He said, "If there is a cure for death, it would be in the Sena plant."
سَأَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَاذَا تَسْتَمْشِينَ؟ قُلْتُ بِالشُّبْرُمِ قَالَ حَارٌّ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ اسْتَمْشَيْتُ بِالسَّنَا قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ شِفَاءٌ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ لَكَانَ فِي السَّنَا هَكَذَا
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The fats and the fat tails are remedies for every disease." It was asked, "And what are the fat tails?" He said, "Have you not heard the saying of the poet [Al-Bahr Al-Ṭawīl]? They are the fat ones with swollen tails, and I do not disdain them, even though they prevent the neighbor from getting close." 'Amr bin Bakr bin Tamim narrated this from Ibrahim bin Abi 'Abdah and he added, "Except for when it has become rancid." 'Amr explained that the "fat tails" in this hadith refer to honey. As for the strange saying of the Arabs, it is like the wound of butter that produces black marks on the butter. Then he mentioned the poetry and explained his saying, "I do not disdain them," saying, "There is no deception in them." And his saying, "Prevent the neighbor from getting close" means that their neighbor will not be humiliated.
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ السَّنَا وَالسَّنُّوتُ فِيهِمَا دَوَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَا السَّنُّوتُ؟ فَقَالَ أَمَا سَمِعْتَ قَوْلَ الشَّاعِرِ [البحر الطويل] هُمُ السُّمْنُ بِالسَّنُّوتِ لَا أَلْسَ فِيهِمْ وَهُمْ يَمْنَعُونَ الْجَارَ أَنْ يَتَقَرَّدَا وَرَوَاهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ وَزَادَ فِيهِ إِلَّا السَّامَ وَفَسَّرَ عَمْرٌو السَّنُّوتَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بِالْعَسَلِ وَأَمَّا فِي غَرِيبِ كَلَامِ الْعَرَبِ فَهُوَ رُبُّ عُكَّةِ السَّمْنِ يَخْرُجُ خُطَطًا سُودًا عَلَى السَّمْنِ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الشِّعْرَ وَفَسَّرَ قَوْلَهُ لَا أَلْسَ فِيهِمْ قَالَ لَا غِشَّ فِيهِمْ وَقَوْلُهُ أَنْ يَتَقَرَّدَا أَيْ لَا يُسْتَذَلُّ جَارُهُمْ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَرْضًا عِنْدَنَا يقَالُ لَهَا أَرْضُ أَبْيَنَ وَهِيَ أَرْضُ رِيعِنَا وَمِيرَتِنَا وَهِيَ وَبِيئَةٌ أَوْ قَالَ وَبَاؤُهَا شَدِيدٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دَعْهَا عَنْكَ فَإِنَّ مِنَ الْقَرَفِ التَّلَفَ قَالَ الْقُتَيْبِيُّ الْقَرَفُ مُدَانَاةُ الْوَبَاءِ وَالْمَرَضِ قَالَ أَبُو سُلَيْمَانَ وَهَذَا مِنْ بَابِ الطِّبِّ لِأَنَّ فَسَادَ الْأَهْوَاءِ مِنْ أَضَرِّ الْأَشْيَاءِ وَأَسْرَعِهَا إِلَى أَسَقَامِ الْبَدَنِ عِنْدَ الْأَطِبَّاءِ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى وَهَذَا نَظِيرُ قَوْلِهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِهِ فِي أَرْضٍ فَلَا تَقْدَمُوا عَلَيْهِ وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ بِمَشِيئَةِ اللهِ وَإِذْنِهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ
