[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The fats and the fat tails are remedies for every disease." It was asked, "And what are the fat tails?" He said, "Have you not heard the saying of the poet [Al-Bahr Al-Ṭawīl]? They are the fat ones with swollen tails, and I do not disdain them, even though they prevent the neighbor from getting close." 'Amr bin Bakr bin Tamim narrated this from Ibrahim bin Abi 'Abdah and he added, "Except for when it has become rancid." 'Amr explained that the "fat tails" in this hadith refer to honey. As for the strange saying of the Arabs, it is like the wound of butter that produces black marks on the butter. Then he mentioned the poetry and explained his saying, "I do not disdain them," saying, "There is no deception in them." And his saying, "Prevent the neighbor from getting close" means that their neighbor will not be humiliated.
