61. Sacrificial Animals
٦١۔ كِتَابُ الضَّحَايَا
I will not give anything today from it to anybody. Then I turned round and saw that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was smiling (at my words). (Using translation from Muslim 1772a)
أَصَبْتُ جِرَابًا مِنْ شَحْمٍ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَالْتَزَمْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ لَا أُعْطِي أَحَدًا الْيَوْمَ مِنْ هَذَا شَيْئًا فَالْتَفَتُّ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُتَبَسِّمٌ
[Machine] Only the sacrifices of the Jews and the Christians are permissible, because they believe in the Torah and the Gospel.
إِنَّمَا أُحِلَّتْ ذَبَائِحُ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى لِأَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ
