[Machine] Abu Qatada was among a group of prohibited people. They presented to him a wild donkey, but they did not allow him until he saw it himself. So, he secretly took a whip from one of them and struck it with it until he subdued it. Then, he brought it to them and they ate it. They met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about it. He said, "Did anyone among you indicate anything to him?" They said, "No." He said, "Then eat."  

كَانَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ فِي قَوْمٍ مُحْرِمِينَ فَعَرَضَ لَهُمْ حِمَارُ وَحْشٍ فَلَمْ يُؤْذِنُوهُ حَتَّى أَبْصَرَهُ هُوَ فَاخْتَلَسَ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ سَوْطًا فَحَمَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَصَرَعَهُ وَأَتَاهُمْ بِهِ فَأَكَلُوهُ فَلَقُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ أَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ إِنْسَانٌ مِنْكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ؟ فَقَالُوا لَا فَقَالَ كُلُوا  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , set out to go to Mecca while he was in a state of ihram. When he reached Al-Rawha, a wild donkey called 'Aqir was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , so he said, "Leave him, for his owner will soon come to him." Then Al-Bahzi, the owner of the donkey, came to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is your opinion about this donkey?" So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , ordered Abu Bakr to divide it among the companions.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ يُرِيدُ مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالرَّوْحَاءِ إِذَا حِمَارٌ وَحْشِيٌّ عَقِيرٌ فَذُكِرَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ دَعُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ صَاحِبُهُ فَجَاءَ الْبَهْزِيُّ وَهُوَ صَاحِبُهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ شَأْنُكُمْ بِهَذَا الْحِمَارِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ فَقَسَمَهُ بَيْنَ الرِّفَاقِ  

[Machine] He informed him that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, saying, "We ate the meat of Khaybar horses and wild donkeys, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the meat of domestic donkeys."  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ يَقُولُ أَكَلْنَا زَمَنَ خَيْبَرَ الْخَيْلَ وَحُمُرَ الْوَحْشِ وَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِمَارِ الْأَهْلِيِّ  

[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ eating chicken.  

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ الدَّجَاجَ  

[Machine] I ate with the Prophet ﷺ the meat of squid, and the traces of its effects have passed from the companions and the followers in the reward of this prey that we mentioned, and in the reward of loyalty and cooperation and other rewards.  

أَكَلْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَحْمَ حُبَارَى وَقَدْ مَضَتِ الْآثَارُ عَنِ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِينَ فِي جَزَاءِ هَذِهِ الصُّيُودِ الَّتِي ذَكَرْنَاهَا وَفِي جَزَاءِ الْوَبَرِ وَالْيَرْبُوعِ وَغَيْرِهِمَا
