The Prophet ﷺ was brought a piece of cheese in Tabuk. He called for a knife, mentioned Allah's name and cut it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3819)   

أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِجُبْنَةٍ فِي تَبُوكَ فَدَعَا بِسِكِّينٍ فَسَمَّى وَقَطَعَ  

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Mecca, he saw a cheese and said, "What is this?" They said, "This is food made from the land of non-Arabs." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Put the knife in it and mention the name of Allah and eat."  

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا فَتَحَ مَكَّةَ رَأَى جُبْنَةً فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا هَذَا طَعَامٌ يُصْنَعُ بِأَرْضِ الْعَجَمِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ضَعُوا فِيهِ السِّكِّينَ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ وَكُلُوا  

[Machine] Indeed, cheese is made from milk. So eat it and mention the name of Allah upon it. And do not let the enemies of Allah deceive you.  

إِنَّ الْجُبْنَ مِنَ اللَّبَنِ وَاللِّبَا فَكُلُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ أَعْدَاءُ اللهِ  

[Machine] To eat cheese, place the knife in it and mention the name of Allah. And everything narrated in that regard from another perspective other than that of Ali's and it was narrated from Salman Al-Farisi.  

أَنْ تَأْكُلَ الْجُبْنَ فَضَعِ الشَّفْرَةَ فِيهِ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ وَكُلْ وَرُوِيَ فِي ذَلِكَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ  

[Machine] A woman from amongst us, Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ was asked about eating cheese, so she said, "If you don't eat it, give it to me, I will eat it."  

امْرَأَةٌ مِنَّا عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْجُبْنِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ إِنْ لَمْ تَأْكُلِيهِ فَأَعْطِنِيهِ آكُلُ  

[Machine] Salama, the wife of the Prophet, ﷺ , said regarding cheese: "Eat it and remember the name of Allah."  

سَلَمَةَ ؓ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ فِي الْجُبْنِ كُلُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ ﷻ
