[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ changed the name of Aasiyah and said, "You are beautiful."
When Al-Mundhir bin Abu Usaid was born, he was brought to the Prophet ﷺ who placed him on his thigh. While Abu Usaid was sitting there, the Prophet ﷺ was busy with something in his hands so Abu Usaid told someone to take his son from the thigh of the Prophet ﷺ . When the Prophet ﷺ finished his job (with which he was busy), he said, "Where is the boy?" Abu Usaid replied, "We have sent him home." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What is his name?" Abu Usaid said, "(His name is) so-and-so. " The Prophet ﷺ said, "No, his name is Al-Mundhir." So he called him Al-Mundhir from that day. (Using translation from Bukhārī 6191)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me, "What is your name?" I replied, "Hazn." He said, "No, you are Sahal" (meaning "easy" or "smooth"). He said, "I do not change a name that a person's father has given him." Ibn Musayyib said, "So, that sadness disappeared from me afterwards."
[Machine] That Zainab's name was Barrah, but it was said that she praised herself, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named her Zainab, which is the word of the narration of Muhammad ibn Ja'far.
[Machine] My name was Barrah, so the Messenger of Allah renamed me Zainab. Then Zainab bint Jahsh entered upon him, and her name was Barrah, so he named her Zainab.
[Machine] We have the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Bury him while you are slaves of Allah." So we descended and buried him. Our names were changed, and there are many stories in this door. He changed the name of Al-Aas ibn Al-Aswad to Muti'a, and changed Zura'ah and Shihaab to Hisham and Harb, and Al-Mudtaji' to Al-Munba'ith, and other names that the book does not mention.
