[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek protection from every harmful thing.
that the Prophet ﷺ saw in her house a girl whose face had a black spot. He said. "She is under the effect of an evil eye; so treat her with a Ruqya." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5739)
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a servant girl in the house of Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, he saw a mark on her face, so he said she should cover it with a veil, meaning her face had turned yellow."
[Machine] O Messenger of Allah, the family of Banu Jafar is affected by the evil eye. Should I seek protection for them? He said: Yes, even if there was something that precedes destiny, the evil eye would precede it. Abu Al-Hasan Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn Al-Alawi dictated to us and informed us that Abu Nasr Muhammad ibn Hamdawayh ibn Sahl Al-Marwazi narrated to us, narrated to him Mahmoud ibn Adam Al-Marwazi, narrated to him Sufyan ibn Uyaynah, from Amr ibn Dinanar, from Urwah ibn Amir, from Ubaid ibn Rifaa'ah Al-Zurqi, that Asma bint Umays said: O Messenger of Allah, he mentioned it in a similar manner except that he said "judgment" instead of "destiny".
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no treatment except for an evil eye or a swelling." The scholar said, "And Allah knows best, both of them are more deserving of treatment because of the harm and the swelling is the poison of poisonous beings."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted permission for the recitation of ruqyah for the evil eye, ant bites, and scorpion stings, as mentioned in my book Al-Laqwah 19591. Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz informed us that Abu Bakr ibn Abdullah informed me that Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan informed him that Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah informed him that Yahya ibn Adam informed him that Sufyan mentioned it with his chain of narrators, and he said that in place of Al-Laqwah is Al-Ayn (the evil eye)."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted permission to the Banu Amr ibn Hazm clan for snake-charming.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to Asma, "Why do I see the bodies of my brother's children weak and frail? Are they affected by something?" She replied, "No, but the evil eye quickly turns to them. Should I treat them?" He asked, "With what?" So I offered him some words that were harmless, and he said, "Yes, treat them."
[Machine] He heard Jabir say, "One of us was bitten by a scorpion while we were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I recite a ruqyah for him?" He said, "Whoever among you is able to benefit his brother, let him do so."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ forbade the use of incantations (ruqyah). The family of Amr ibn Hazm had a ruqyah that they used for scorpion stings, so they went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, you have forbidden the use of incantations, but we have a ruqyah that we use for scorpion stings." He said, "Present it to me." They presented it to him, and he said, "I do not see any harm in it for anyone who is able to benefit his brother, so let him benefit him."
[Machine] We used to practice Ruqyah (incantation for healing) during the time of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic period of ignorance), so we asked the Messenger of Allah, "What do you say about this?" He replied, "Present your Ruqyah to me, there is no harm in Ruqyah as long as it does not involve any Shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered when I was with Hafsah, and he said to me: Why do you not teach this one the spell for skin eruptions as you taught her writing. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3887)
[Machine] He (someone) said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you think there is a remedy that we can use for treatment, a charm that we can wear for protection, and a precaution that we can take? Will any of that contradict Allah's decree?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is all from Allah's decree." And Abu al-Husayn ibn al-Fadl al-Qattan informed us in Baghdad that Abdullah ibn Ja'far al-Farisi narrated to us, Ya'qub ibn Sufyan narrated to us, Abu Salih informed me, Al-Laith informed me, and Yunus ibn Shihab narrated to me from Abu Khuzama One of the sons of Harith bin Sa'd, that his father informed him that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a similar question. Ya'qub, Abu Khuzama ibn Ma'mar al-Sa'di, also narrated to us, and Abu al-Husayn ibn Bashran informed us, Abu Amr ibn al-Sammak narrated to us, Hanbal ibn Ishaq narrated to me, Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, the judge, narrated to me, Talha ibn Yahya narrated to me, Yunus narrated to me, and Ibn Shihab narrated to me from Abu Khuzama Zaid ibn al-Harith that his father asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "This is what he said. And the first narration is more authentic, and Allah knows best." The shaykh (teacher) narrated it from Ma'mar and Abdurrahman ibn Ishaq, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn Abi Khuzama, from his father and the first narration is more authentic.
[Machine] Abu Bakr entered upon her while she had a Jewish woman serving her, so he said to her, "Serve her with the Book of Allah."
[Machine] To elevate a person with the Book of Allah and what he knows of the remembrance of Allah, I asked, "Can the People of the Book be elevated?" He said, "Yes, if they are elevated with what is known from the Book of Allah and the remembrance of Allah." I then asked, "What is the proof for that?" He said, "It is not a proof. But as for the narration of our companion and your companion, indeed Malik informed us from Yahya bin Sa'id from 'Amrah bint 'Abdul-Rahman that Abu Bakr entered upon 'Aisha while she was complaining and being treated by a Jewish woman. He said to her, 'Treat her with the Book of Allah.' The Sheikh (Malik) may Allah have mercy on him, said, 'And there are numerous reports about what the Prophet ﷺ used to seek ruqyah with, and others were treated with, and he commanded to seek treatment with it. I have mentioned some of what has been reported about ruqyah in the book of ad-Daawat (invocations), and with Allah is success."
