8. Shāmīs (2/26)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Allah wants to do good for somebody, he makes him comprehend the Religion (i.e. Islam), and Allah is the Giver and I am Al-Qasim (i.e. the distributor), and this (Muslim) nation will remain victorious over their opponents, till Allah's Order comes and they will still be victorious." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3116)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, the two eyes are the twin brothers of sleep. So when the eyes sleep, restlessness is set free."

[Machine] "I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, 'There will always be a group from my Ummah (nation) that remains steadfast on the truth, unaffected by those who oppose or abandon them, until the command of Allah (God) comes.'"
Anas b. Malik reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ died when he was sixty-three years old, and so was the case with Abu Bakr, and so was the case with Umar who was also sixty-three (when he died). (Using translation from Muslim 2348)

[Machine] "When Muawiyah, did you know that I cut a piece from the hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a scissors? So I said to him, 'I do not know this except as a proof against you.'"
[Machine] From the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Marwah.
[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ trimming his hair with scissors.
[Machine] Muawiyah said to Ibn Abbas, "Did you not know that I shortened the hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with scissors?" Ibn Abbas replied, "No." Ibn Abbād mentioned in his narration that Ibn Abbas said, "And this is evidence against Muawiyah."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Whoever drinks alcohol, then flog him. If he repeats it, then flog him. If he repeats it again, then flog him. If he repeats it once more, then kill him."
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'When one completes the prayer, O Allah, nothing can prevent what You have given, and nothing can give what You have prevented, and the greatness of the great one cannot benefit in any way against You.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died at the age of sixty-three. Abu Bakr also died at the age of sixty-three, and Umar died at the age of sixty-three. Today, I am sixty-three years old.
[Machine] Muawiyah heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say in Madinah, on the pulpit, "Where are your scholars, O people of Madinah?" I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on this day, the day of Ashura, saying, "Whoever wants to fast this day, let him fast it." And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibit doing something like this, and he recited a poem from one of you, saying, "Indeed, the Children of Israel were destroyed when their women took it as a religious festival."
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Do not bow or prostrate before me. No matter how far ahead of you I bow, you will catch up with me when I stand up, and no matter how far ahead of you I prostrate, you will catch up with me when I raise my head. I have become bulky.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 963)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not persist in asking excessively, for by Allah, no one asks me anything and I grant him his request, except that I make his request blessed for him."
[Machine] I heard Mu'awiyah deliver a sermon on this pulpit, saying, "Learn that there is no obstacle to what Allah gives, no giver of what Allah withholds, and the one who seeks good through Allah will be granted understanding in religion." I heard these words from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on these occasions.
[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "He would have his hair cut with scissors, or I saw him having his hair cut with scissors at the Marwah place."
[Machine] "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and he said, 'I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.' Then he said, 'Come to prayer.' He said, 'There is no power or strength except through Allah.' He said, 'Come to success.' He said, 'There is no power or strength except through Allah.' He said, 'Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.' He said, 'There is no god but Allah.' He said, 'There is no god but Allah.' This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say or your Prophet when the caller to prayer calls."
[Machine] Muawiyah only took control of these two Yemeni pillars after the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , had passed away. Ibn Abbas said, "None of its pillars are neglected."
[Machine] I heard Muawiyah say, "When the Muadhin comes to call him for prayer, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Verily, the Muadhins will have the longest necks on the Day of Resurrection.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is nothing that afflicts a believer in his body and causes harm to him except that Allah expiates his sins because of it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed those who pronunciate the words in a way similar to the intonation of poetry.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing gold except in the form of a piece.
[Machine] The passage translates to: "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ used to perform the Tashahhud with the Muadh-dhins."
[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet, may ﷺ , who rarely gave a sermon without mentioning this hadith: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , saying that this wealth is sweet and green. Whoever takes it rightfully, may Allah bless him in it. And whoever Allah wishes good for, He grants him understanding in religion. And beware of excessive praise, for it is like slaughtering."
[Machine] In it, beware of flattery, as it is like slaughter.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Marriage is a reward for its people."
[Machine] We were with Muawiyah while he was on his bed, and he had closed his eyes. We then started discussing about the migration. Some of us said that it had ended, while others said that it had not. Muawiyah woke up and asked us what we were talking about. We informed him, and he was not used to regularly responding to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "We used to discuss this matter with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Then he said, "The migration will not end until repentance ends, and repentance will not end until the sun rises from the west."
"I heard Mu'awiyah delivering the Khutbah, and he narrated a few Hadiths from the Messenger of Allah [SAW]." He said: "I heard him delivering a Khutbah and he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: Every sin may be forgiven by Allah except a man who kills a believer deliberately, or a man who dies as a disbeliever.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3984)
You offer a prayer which I did not see being offered by Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we were in his company and he certainly had forbidden it (i.e. two rakʿat after the ʿAsr prayer). (Using translation from Bukhārī 587)
[Machine] "He witnessed Muawiyah, and with him was a group of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . Muawiyah said to them, 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade riding on the skins of tigers?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing silk?' They said, 'Yes, by Allah.' He said, 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from silver utensils?' They said, 'Yes, by Allah.' He said, 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing gold, except for a small amount?' They said, 'Yes, by Allah.' He said, 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade combining Hajj and Umrah in one journey?' They said, 'No, by Allah.' He said, 'By Allah, it is indeed allowed.'"
[Machine] "I heard Muawiyah saying, 'Beware of the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah, except for a Hadith from the time of Umar, and indeed Umar feared people for the sake of Allah.' I heard the Messenger of Allah saying, 'Whomsoever Allah wishes good for, He grants understanding of the religion to him.'"
[Machine] From an evil person and an evil matter, he is like the eater and never gets full.
[Machine] "And I heard him say, 'There will always be a group from my nation who will be upon the truth, unaffected by those who oppose them, until the command of Allah comes while they are still in that state among the people.'"
I offered the Friday prayer along with him in enclosure. When I uttered the salutation I stood up in my place and prayed. When he went in, he sent me a message saying: Never again do what you have done. When you pray the Friday prayer, you must not join another prayer to it till you have engaged in conversation or gone out, for the Prophet of Allah ﷺ gave the precise command not to join on prayer till you have engaged in conversation or gone out. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1129)
You offer a prayer which I did not see being offered by Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we were in his company and he certainly had forbidden it (i.e. two rakʿat after the ʿAsr prayer). (Using translation from Bukhārī 587)
[Machine] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever forgets something from his prayer, let him perform two prostrations while sitting.'"
‘Whoever lies upon me intentionally, then let him take his seat in the Fire’. (Using translation from Muslim 3)
Mu'awiyah prayed in front of them, and he stood up during the prayer when he should have sat. The people said tasbih, but he remained standing, then he prostrated twice while he was sitting, after he completed the prayer. Then he sat on the Minbar and said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever forgets something in his prayer, let him prostrate twice like this.' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1260)
AbuMijlaz said: Mu'awiyah went out to Ibn az-Zubayr and Ibn Amir. Ibn Amir got up and Ibn az-Zubayr remained sitting. Mu'awiyah said to Ibn Amir: Sit down, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Let him who likes people to stand up before him prepare his place in Hell. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5229)
[Machine] He told him that he was sitting with a group of the Ansar (the companions of the Prophet from the city of Medina), then Muawiya came out to them and asked them about their conversation. They said they were discussing a matter among the Ansar. Muawiya said, "Shall I tell you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah?" They replied, "Yes, O Amir al-Mu'minin." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah saying, 'Whoever loves the Ansar, Allah loves him, and whoever hates the Ansar, Allah hates him.'"
[Machine] "I was in a gathering with Muawiyah, with a group of the Ansar, and we were talking when Muawiyah came to us and mentioned a matter with us."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "I am but a treasurer, and indeed, it is Allah who gives. So whoever I give with a good intention, it will be blessed for him. And whoever I give with an evil intention and out of obligation, then it is like he is eating but never getting satisfied."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "When the Mu'adhin calls the Adhan, say what he says."
[Machine] He heard Muawiyah giving a sermon in the shade of the Kaaba and he was saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited wearing gold jewelry and silk clothing.
[Machine] The translation of the passage is as follows: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to repeat the words of the Mu'adhdhin when he heard him saying, 'Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.' He would say the same words. And when the Mu'adhdhin said, 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah,' he would say the same words. And when the Mu'adhdhin said, 'I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,' he would say the same words."
[Machine] He heard Muawiya giving a sermon, saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away when he was sixty-three years old, and Abu Bakr passed away when he was sixty-three, and Umar passed away when he was sixty-three, and I am sixty-three years old."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If someone drinks alcohol, flog him. If he repeats, flog him. If he repeats again, flog him. If he repeats once more, kill him."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Any woman who puts in her hair some hair of another person, then she is only putting in falsehood."
