[Machine] He heard Muawiyah giving a sermon in the shade of the Kaaba and he was saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited wearing gold jewelry and silk clothing.  

أحمد:١٦٩٢٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَخْطُبُ فِي ظِلِّ الْكَعْبَةِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ حُلِيِّ الذَّهَبِ وَلُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ

[Machine] He informed me that he heard Muawiyah on the pulpit in Mecca saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid wearing gold and silk.

أَخْبَرَهُ أنه قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ بِمَكَّةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْحَرِيرِ
