6. Meccans (9/16)
[Machine] Amir placed a jalaba made of muslin on himself, so I looked at him and I affected him with my eye, then water started flowing and he began to wash himself. I heard a noise in the water, so I approached him and called out to him three times, but he did not respond to me. So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him. He came and walked, then immersed himself in the water as if I was looking at the whiteness of his legs. He struck his chest with his hand and said, "O Allah, remove from him the heat, cold, and pain." Then he stood up and said, "When any of you sees something he likes from his brother, himself, or his property, let him pray for blessings for it, for the evil eye is real."
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'from one 'Umrah to another is an expiation for what comes in between, and Hajj al-Mabrur brings no reward less than Paradise.'''(sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2629)
6.115 [Machine] Abdullah bin Amer
[Machine] He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to our house while I was a young boy. I went out to play and my mother said, "O Abdullah, come here, I will give you something." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What did you intend to give him?" She said, "I intended to give him dates." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you had not given him anything, it would have been written as a lie against you."
6.116 [Machine] Sowaid bin Muqrin
[Machine] "I saw myself as the seventh among my brothers, and we only had one servant. So, one of us slapped him, and the Prophet ﷺ ordered us to set him free."
[Machine] I heard Hilal, a man from the Bani Mazin, talking about Suwaid ibn Muqarrin. He said, "I brought some wine in a jug to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I asked him about it, but he forbade me from it. So, I took the jug and broke it."
[Machine] "I slapped our slave, then I came to my father in the noon and prayed with him. When he finished, he took my hand and said, 'Be obedient to him', and he forgave. Then he began to tell a story, he said, 'We were children, raised in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . We were seven and we had only one servant. One of us slapped her, and the news reached the Prophet ﷺ . He said, 'Set her free.' They said, 'We have no other servant.' He said, 'Then let them use her services. When they have no need for her, let her go.'"
6.117 [Machine] My father, Hadrad Al-Aslami
[Machine] He (referring to a person) came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking his advice regarding the dowry of a woman. The Prophet asked, "How much did you marry her for?" He replied, "Two hundred dirhams." The Prophet said, "If you were to scoop from the valley of Baṭḥān, you would not increase it (the dowry)."
6.118 [Machine] Mehran, the Servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
[Machine] I came to Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Ali, with a donation, but she refused it and said: "Tell me what the slave of the Prophet ﷺ, whose name is Mihran, told you." She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Charity is not permissible for the family of Muhammad, but it is permissible for their slaves and servants."
6.119 [Machine] A man who converted.
[Machine] “It was bitten, so he mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ said, 'If only you had said, when you experienced it in the evening, "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created," it would not have harmed you.' Suhayl said, 'So whenever one of us was bitten, my father would say those words. If they said yes, he would say, "It is as if he sees that it does not harm him.'"
6.120 [Machine] Sahl ibn Abi Hathmah
[Machine] On the authority of Sahl ibn Abi Hathmah, it was reported that Abdurrahman raised his hands to the Prophet ﷺ . And regarding Yahya, he mentioned from Sahl that he said, the Imam stands and there is a description behind him and a description in front of him. He prays the prayer with those behind him, a unit of prayer, two prostrations, then he stands until they pray another unit of prayer, then they move forward to the place of their companions. Then those (companions) come and stand in the place of those (who were behind the Imam) and he prays a unit of prayer with them, two prostrations, then he sits until they complete another unit of prayer, then he offers them the greeting (of peace).
[Machine] "He ﷺ said that he prays with those behind him a unit of prayer and two prostrations, then he sits in his place until they complete a unit of prayer and two prostrations, then they turn towards their companions' place, and their companions turn towards their place, then he mentioned their meaning."
This tradition has also been transmitted by Mu’adh through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1577)
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , said: When you joke, be serious and leave a third of what you intended to say. If you cannot find what to say and leave only a quarter of it.
6.121 [Machine] Issam Al Mazini
[Machine] "From his father, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Whenever the Prophet ﷺ would send out an expedition, he would say: 'If you see a mosque or hear a call to prayer, do not kill anyone.' Ibn Ishaam narrates from his father: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us on an expedition.'"
6.122 [Machine] Al-Sa'ib bin Yazid
[Machine] "It was not narrated during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nor during the time of Abu Bakr. The first person to narrate it was Tameem Al-Dari, who sought permission from Umar ibn Al-Khattab to narrate it to the people while standing, so Umar granted him permission."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had only one Mu'adhin for all prayers, whether on Friday or other days. He would give the Adhan and Iqamah. It is narrated that Bilal would give the Adhan when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on the pulpit on Fridays, and would give the Iqamah when he came down. This practice continued during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and Umar, until the time of Uthman.
[Machine] "Abdullah said: 'I heard Abdullah bin Aswad Al-Qurashi narrating from Yazid bin Khuseifa, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'My Ummah (nation) will remain upon the Fitrah (natural disposition) as long as they offer the Maghrib prayer before the rising of the stars.'"
"My father took me for Hajj with the Messenger of Allah during the Farewell Hajj, and I was seven years old." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 925)
[Machine] "That a woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, 'O Aisha, do you know who this is?' She said, 'No, O Prophet of Allah.' So he said, 'This is Qaynah, the daughter of Fulan, who you love to hear sing.' She said, 'Yes.' So he gave her a plate and she sang for him. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, 'The devil has blown into her throat.'"
[Machine] "I went with the boys to the farewell spot to receive the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the Battle of Tabuk. Sufyan once mentioned the reception of the Prophet ﷺ when he returned from Tabuk."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ appeared between two shields on the Day of Uhud, and he mentioned it to us on another occasion without excluding anything in it.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , had only one mu'adhdhin, who would call the adhan when he sat on the pulpit and would call the iqamah when he descended. Abu Bakr and Umar were also like that.
"As-Sa'ib bin Yazid told me that Shuraih Al-Hadrami was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He does not sleep on the Qur'an" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1783)

[Machine] Al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid informed me and mentioned something similar.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no superstition, and no evil omen."
[Machine] The call to prayer was during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , Abu Bakr, and Umar, two calls to prayer. Until the time of Uthman, when the number of people increased, he commanded to retain only the first call in Al-Zawra.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no person who is in a gathering and says when he wants to leave, 'Subhanak Allahumma wa bihamdik, la ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk', except that he will be forgiven for whatever happened in that gathering.' I narrated this hadith from Yazid ibn Khaseefa who said, 'This is how the Sahib ibn Yazid narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' "
6.123 [Machine] My father Sa'id ibn Al-Ma'ala regarding the Prophet ﷺ
The Prophet ﷺ passed by him when he was praying, and called him. He said: "I finished praying, then I came to him, and he said: 'What kept you from answering me?' He said: 'I was praying.' He said: 'Does not Allah say: O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he calls you to that which will give you life? Shall I not teach you the greatest surah before I leave the masjid?' Then he went to leave, and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what about what you said?' He said: "All praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of all that exists. These are the seven oft-recited that I have been given, and the Grand Quran.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 913)
6.124 [Machine] Al-Hajjaj ibn 'Amr al-Ansari
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "And Isma'il said, Hashim bin 'Abi 'Uthman informed me that Yahya bin 'Abi Kathir told us that 'Ikrimah, the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas, narrated to him that Al-Hajjaj bin 'Amr Al-Ansari told him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever has his bone broken or is lame, he has performed Hajj and he is required to perform another Hajj.' I then mentioned this to Ibn 'Abbas and Abu Hurairah, and they said, 'He is telling the truth.' [Machine] While we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I was standing close to him, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Suhail, the son of Al-Baida!" He raised his voice saying this two or three times, and each time Suhail answered him. When the people heard the voice of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , they thought that he was calling them, so those who were in front of him were held back, and those who were behind him hurried towards him. When they gathered around, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah, Allah will make paradise obligatory for him and prohibit him from the Fire."

6.134 [Machine] A man from Bhezz
[Machine] He went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intending to go to Makkah. When they were in a valley called Al-Rawha', they found people's donkey that was wild and stubborn. They mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ so he said, "Tie it up until its owner comes." So the man, who was the owner of the donkey, came and said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, what is your opinion about this donkey?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered Abu Bakr to divide it among the companions, while they were in the state of ihram. He (the narrator) said, "Then we passed by Al-Uthaiyah, and there we found a deer standing in the shade with an arrow in it. So the Prophet ﷺ ordered a man to stand by it until the people passed by it."

6.135 [Machine] Al-Dhahak bin Sufyan
[Machine] I do not see the ransom except for the tribe, because they understand it. Has anyone of you heard anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding this matter? Al-Dhahhak ibn Sufyan al-Kilabi said, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to employ him to deal with the Bedouins. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to me that I should inherit the woman from Asyam al-Dhababi from her husband's ransom. Umar ibn al-Khattab took that into account.
that 'Umar would say: "The blood-money upon the tribe, and the wife does not inherit any of her husband's blood-money." Until Ad-Dahhak bin Sufyan Al-Kulabi informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to me, that Ashaim Ad-Dibabi's wife inherited the blood-money of her husband. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1415)
[Machine] The passage translates to: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'O Dahhak, what is your food?' He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is meat and milk.' He said, 'Then it turns into what?' He said, 'Into what you know.' He said, 'Verily, Allah, blessed and exalted, has given an example of what comes out of the son of Adam as an example of the worldly life.'"

6.136 [Machine] My father Lababah, about the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Kill the snakes, kill Al-Tufaytayn (a type of venomous snake), and kill Al-Abtar (a type of harmful insect), for they cause the rope to fall down and blur the sight." Ibn 'Umar said, "My father saw me chasing after a snake to kill it, and he forbade me. So I said, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had ordered their killing.' He replied, 'Indeed, he later forbade killing creatures that live in houses.' Al-Zuhri said, 'And by creatures living in houses (al-'awamir), he meant insects and pests.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying from the pulpit, "Kill the snake, kill the two tailless danglers, and kill the infertile one, for they cause the eye to unite and the rope to fall." I said, "I never saw a snake except that I killed it." Then Abu Lubabah ibn Abd al-Mundhir said to me, "Would you like to have a bet between us?" I said, "Yes." So he and I stood up and opened it, and a snake came out. I prepared to kill it, but he said to me, "Wait." I said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , has commanded to kill them." He said, "He has forbade killing the ones that stay in the house."
