[Machine] "It was not narrated during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nor during the time of Abu Bakr. The first person to narrate it was Tameem Al-Dari, who sought permission from Umar ibn Al-Khattab to narrate it to the people while standing, so Umar granted him permission."
أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُقَصُّ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺوَلَا أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَصَّ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَنْ يَقُصَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ قَائِمًا فَأَذِنَ لَهُ عُمَرُ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had only one Mu'adhin for all prayers, whether on Friday or other days. He would give the Adhan and Iqamah. It is narrated that Bilal would give the Adhan when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on the pulpit on Fridays, and would give the Iqamah when he came down. This practice continued during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and Umar, until the time of Uthman.
لَمْ يَكُنْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا مُؤَذِّنٌ وَاحِدٌ فِي الصَّلَوَاتِ كُلِّهَا فِي الْجُمُعَةِ وَغَيْرِهَا يُؤَذِّنُ وَيُقِيمُ قَالَ كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيُقِيمُ إِذَا نَزَلَ وَلِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ حَتَّى كَانَ عُثْمَانُ
[Machine] "Abdullah said: 'I heard Abdullah bin Aswad Al-Qurashi narrating from Yazid bin Khuseifa, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'My Ummah (nation) will remain upon the Fitrah (natural disposition) as long as they offer the Maghrib prayer before the rising of the stars.'"
عَبْدُ اللهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ الْقُرَشِيُّ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ خُصَيْفَةَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ مَا صَلَّوْا الْمَغْرِبَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ النُّجُومِ
"My father took me for Hajj with the Messenger of Allah during the Farewell Hajj, and I was seven years old." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 925)
حُجَّ بِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ
عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ
[Machine] "That a woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, 'O Aisha, do you know who this is?' She said, 'No, O Prophet of Allah.' So he said, 'This is Qaynah, the daughter of Fulan, who you love to hear sing.' She said, 'Yes.' So he gave her a plate and she sang for him. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, 'The devil has blown into her throat.'"
أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ أَتَعْرِفِينَ هَذِهِ؟ قَالَتْ لَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ قَيْنَةُ بَنِي فُلَانٍ تُحِبِّينَ أَنْ تُغَنِّيَكِ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأَعْطَاهَا طَبَقًا فَغَنَّتْهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَدْ نَفَخَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي مَنْخِرَيْهَا
[Machine] "I went with the boys to the farewell spot to receive the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the Battle of Tabuk. Sufyan once mentioned the reception of the Prophet ﷺ when he returned from Tabuk."
خَرَجْتُ مَعَ الصِّبْيَانِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ نَتَلَقَّى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً أَذْكُرُ مَقْدِمَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ تَبُوكَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ appeared between two shields on the Day of Uhud, and he mentioned it to us on another occasion without excluding anything in it.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ظَاهَرَ بَيْنَ دِرْعَيْنِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَلَمْ يَسْتَثْنِ فِيهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , had only one mu'adhdhin, who would call the adhan when he sat on the pulpit and would call the iqamah when he descended. Abu Bakr and Umar were also like that.
مَا كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا مُؤَذِّنٌ وَاحِدٌ يُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا قَعَدَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَيُقِيمُ إِذَا نَزَلَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ كَذَلِكَ وَعُمَرُ كَذَلِكَ
"As-Sa'ib bin Yazid told me that Shuraih Al-Hadrami was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He does not sleep on the Qur'an" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1783)
أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا الْحَضْرَمِيَّ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لَا يَتَوَسَّدُ الْقُرْآنَ
"As-Sa'ib bin Yazid told me that Shuraih Al-Hadrami was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "He does not sleep on the Qur'an" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1783)
أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا الْحَضْرَمِيَّ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لَا يَتَوَسَّدُ الْقُرْآنَ
[Machine] Al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid informed me and mentioned something similar.
أَخْبَرَنِي السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no superstition, and no evil omen."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا صَفَرَ وَلَا هَامَةَ
[Machine] The call to prayer was during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , Abu Bakr, and Umar, two calls to prayer. Until the time of Uthman, when the number of people increased, he commanded to retain only the first call in Al-Zawra.
كَانَ الْأَذَانُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ أَذَانَانِ حَتَّى كَانَ زَمَنُ عُثْمَانَ فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ فَأَمَرَ بِالْأَذَانِ الْأَوَّلِ بِالزَّوْرَاءِ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no person who is in a gathering and says when he wants to leave, 'Subhanak Allahumma wa bihamdik, la ilaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk', except that he will be forgiven for whatever happened in that gathering.' I narrated this hadith from Yazid ibn Khaseefa who said, 'This is how the Sahib ibn Yazid narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' "
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ إِنْسَانٍ يَكُونُ فِي مَجْلِسٍ فَيَقُولُ حِينَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَقُومَ سُبْحَانَكَ اللهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا كَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسِ فَحَدَّثْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يَزِيدَ بْنَ خُصَيْفَةَ قَالَ هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنِي السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
