ahmad:15431ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Ibn Jurayj > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUthmān b. Khuthaym > Muḥammad b. al-Aswad b. Khalaf

[Machine] His father Al-Aswad informed him that he saw the Prophet ﷺ giving the oath of allegiance to the people on the day of conquest. He said that he sat near the corner of Masqalah and the people pledged their allegiance to Islam and bearing witness. I asked, "What is the bearing witness?" He said that Muhammad bin Al-Aswad bin Khalaf informed him that they pledged their allegiance to believe in Allah and bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
