[Machine] From his cousin, one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , came to Muawiyah and entered upon him. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever is given authority over the affairs of the people but closes his door upon the poor, the oppressed, or those in need, then Allah, the Exalted and Almighty, will close the doors of His mercy upon him when he is in need and poverty. This is the poorest condition one can reach.'"

A man from among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ told him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'If any one of you in praying, let him not lift his gaze to the sky, or his eyesight will be taken away.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1194)

"We pledged to the Messenger of Allah to hear and obey during our hardship and our ease, when we felt energetic and when we felt tired, that we would not contend with the orders of whomever was entrusted with it, that we would stand for justice wherever we may be, and that we would not fear the blame of any blamer for the sake of Allah. 6.104 [Machine] Al-Tanukhi, About the Prophet ﷺ
Hadith of a man from Tannukh and Heraclius about the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] I met the Christian monk who was the messenger of Heraclius, the king of Byzantium, to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hims. He was my neighbor, an elderly sheikh who was nearly blind. I asked him to inform me about the letters exchanged between Heraclius and the Prophet ﷺ . He said, "Yes, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Tabuk and sent Dihyah al-Kalbi to Heraclius. When Heraclius received the letter from the Prophet ﷺ , he summoned the Roman priests and dignitaries, then closed the door on them and himself. He said, 'Indeed this man has emerged where you said he would. He has called me to one of three matters: to follow him in his religion, or to give him our wealth on our land (which is our land), or to wage war against him. By Allah, you know from your readings of the scriptures that he shall possess all that lies under my feet. So, shall we follow him in his religion, or give him our wealth on our land?' They knelt down before him like a man humbly submitting until they left their palaces and said, 'You invite us to leave Christianity or become slaves for an Arabian who came from the Hijaz.' When he thought that they would cause corruption if they left him, the Romans exalted them. He said, 'Indeed, I only said that to test your resolve in your matter.' Then he called a man from the Arabs who was known for his knowledge of the Arabic language. He said, 'Send with me a man who is well-versed in traditions in Arabic. I will take him to this man with the response to his letter.' So, he came with me and handed me a letter from Heraclius who said, 'Take my letter to this man.' I did not forget anything he had told me. He said, 'Preserve for me three qualities in him: see if he mentions the parchment on which I had written to him, see if he mentions that which he read in my letter, and see if he doubts anything on his back.' I took his letter and left for Tabuk. When I arrived, I found him sitting among his companions, reclining by the water. I said, 'Where is your companion?' They said, 'Here he is.' I approached and sat before him, handing him the letter. He placed it under a stone and asked, 'Who are you?' I said, 'I am one of the Tanukh tribe.' He asked, 'Do you have the religion of your father, Ibrahim, the Hanif?' I replied, 'I am a messenger of a people, and I adhere to the religion of a people, and I shall not deviate from it until I return to them.' He laughed and said, 'You do not guide those you desire, but Allah guides whomever He wills, and He is the most knowledgeable of the guided.' O Companion of Tanukh, I wrote a letter to Khosrow, and he tore it up - may Allah tear him in pieces and tear up his kingdom. I wrote a letter to Negus, and he tore it up - may Allah tear him and tear up his kingdom. Then I wrote a letter to your companion and he held onto it. The people will always find therein division as long as it is available in this world. Good is to stay alive.' 'I recollected what you had told me your companion had entrusted me with in that letter and took an arrow from my quiver and inscribed it on my sword's sheath. He then, with a man by his left, pointed a finger to my sword's sheath, asking, 'Who is the companion of your book? The one that reads to you.' They replied, 'It is Mu'awiyah.' He said, 'In your companion's book you call me to a paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous. But where is the fire?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Glorified is Allah! Where is the night when the day comes?' I took an arrow from my quiver and inscribed it on my sword's sheath. When he finished reading my letter, he said, 'You have rights, and you are a messenger. If we had something that we could give you, we would have allowed it. We are a people returning from a pilgrimage.' A man from the people called out, 'I shall give it to him.' He opened his mount and brought out a yellow piece of cloth, which he placed in the corner. I asked, 'Who is the owner of this prize?' I was told, 'It is Uthman.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Which one of you will host this man?' A young man from the Ansar stood and the Ansar got up. I stood with them until I left the assembly area. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me and said, 'Come, O Companion of Tanukh.' I approached him and leaned towards him until I was standing before him in my assembly area in front of him. He raised his garment off his back and said, 'Here, fulfill what you were commanded.' I leaned forward and found on his back a seal in the middle of his shoulder-blades like the size of a pigeon's egg.'

Then I said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, perform ablution.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came towards me and he poured water on his hands. He washed them, then he put his hand in the container and poured water on it, and then he wiped his head. After that, he cupped his hands and took water and struck his foot with it. [Machine] Narrated by the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I swear by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, there are five words heavier in the scales than others: La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah), and Allah is the Greatest (Allahu Akbar), and Glory be to Allah (Subhan Allah), and Praise be to Allah (Alhamdulillah), and a righteous child who dies and his parents have patience and hope for reward (from Allah)." And he said: "I swear by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, whoever meets Allah, believing in these five, enters Paradise, believing in Allah, the Last Day, Paradise, Hell, and the Resurrection after death, and the Reckoning."

[Machine] Muawiyah entered upon Abu Hashim ibn Uthbah while he was sick and crying, so he mentioned his meaning.
6.113 [Machine] Abdulrahman bin Shabal.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade three things: "Pecking like a crow, resting one's forearms on the ground like a predator, and allocating the same place for prayer like a camel gets used to a certain place." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1112)
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said: Recite the Quran and do not exaggerate in it, and do not neglect it, and do not eat with it, and do not make it a means of overabundance."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, the merchants are the transgressors." A man said: "O Prophet of Allah, hasn't Allah made trading permissible?" He said: "Indeed, they lie, they bear false witness, and they commit sins."
[Machine] When you enter my gathering, stand up and inform what you have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Recite the Quran, but do not go to extremes in it, do not abandon it, do not use it as a means of livelihood, and do not seek plenty through it.'"
[Machine] Narrated to us Musa ibn Khalaf, the father of Khalaf, and he was considered among the intellectuals, and he mentioned another similar story.
6.114 [Machine] Amer bin Rabeeah
Narrated ʿAbdullah bin Amir that his father had told him that he had seen the Prophet ﷺ praying Nawafil at night on the back of his Mount on a journey, facing whatever direction it took. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1104)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a grave and said, "What is this grave?" They said, "It is the grave of so-and-so." He said, "Why didn't you wake me up?" They said, "You were sleeping and we disliked waking you up." He said, "Don't do that, instead call me for your funeral processions and line them up, then I will offer the prayer."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "When you see a funeral procession, stand up until it passes by you," or he said, "Stay still until it passes by you." Ibn Umar, when he saw a funeral procession, would stand up until it passed by him. And when he accompanied a funeral, he would turn his back towards the graveyards.
"When any one of you sees a funeral and is not walking with it, let him stand up until it has passed him, or until (the body) is placed (in the grave) before if passes him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1915)
A man among Banu Fazarah got married for a pair of sandals, and the Prophet permitted his marriage. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1888)
Should anyone amongst you see a bier he must stand up so long as it is within sight in case he does not intend to follow it. (Using translation from Muslim 958c)
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing things that I cannot count or enumerate while he was fasting. And 'Abdul-Rahman said, "I saw him using the siwak (tooth stick) while he was fasting."
[Machine] "So the Prophet ﷺ came and she said, 'That is for you.' He asked, 'Are you pleased with yourself and your wealth with these two sandals?' She replied, 'Yes.' Shu'bah said, 'So I told him that it seems like he approves of it.' He said, 'It seems like I approve of it.' Shu'bah said, 'Then I met him again and he asked, 'Are you pleased with yourself and your wealth with these two sandals?' She said, 'I have seen that.' He said, 'And I also see that.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ giving a sermon saying, "Whoever sends blessings upon me, their blessings will continue to be sent upon them, as long as they continue to send blessings upon me. So let a servant (of Allah) either decrease in doing so or increase."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There will be leaders after me who will perform the prayer at its appointed time and delay it from its time. Pray it with them if they pray it at its time. And if they delay it from its time, then you should pray it with them. For you and for them, whoever separates from the congregation and dies will die the death of ignorance, and whoever breaks the pledge and dies will come on the Day of Resurrection without any proof." I asked him, "Who informed you of this news?" He said, "Abdullah bin Amr bin Rabi'ah informed me, who heard it from his father Amr bin Rabi'ah, who heard it from the Prophet ﷺ ."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you sees a funeral procession, let him stand up until it is laid down or buried."
[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying the voluntary prayers on the back of his mount in every direction."
[Machine] His verse means: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When you see a funeral procession, if you do not walk with it, then stand up for it until it passes or is placed (in the grave).' He (Ibn Umar) said, 'Sometimes he (the Prophet) would arrive at a funeral, then sit until he saw that it had approached, then he would stand until it was placed (in the grave), and sometimes he would hide it."
[Machine] "He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying on his mount wherever it turned."
The Prophet ﷺ as saying: When you see a funeral, stand up for it till it leaves you behind or it is placed (on the ground). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3172)
I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ using a tooth-stick while he was fasting. Musaddad added in his version: "more often than I could count." (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2364)
[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sends blessings upon me, the angels will send blessings upon him as long as he continues to send blessings upon me. So, let the servant either decrease or increase in doing so."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays upon me a prayer, Allah mentions him."
A man among Banu Fazarah got married for a pair of sandals, and the Prophet permitted his marriage. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1888)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send us on secret missions, saying, "O my son, we have no provisions except the dates that have been distributed among us. He would then distribute them handful by handful until it becomes one date after another. I asked him, 'O my father, how can dates be sufficient for you?' He replied, 'Do not say that, O my son. After we lose it, we will long for it.'"
[Machine] "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said, 'There will be rulers after me who will offer the prayer at its appointed time and delay it. So, you should also pray it with them if they offer it at its appointed time, and if you prayed it with them, it will be valid for both you and them. And if they delay it from its appointed time, and you prayed it with them, it will be valid for you but a burden on them. Whoever separates from the congregation and dies, will die the death of ignorance, and whoever breaks a covenant and dies, will die as a treacherous person, with no excuse on the Day of Resurrection.' I asked, 'Who informed you of this news?' He replied, 'Abdullah bin 'Amir bin Rabee'ah informed me, who narrates from his father, 'Amir bin Rabee'ah, who narrates from the Prophet ﷺ.'
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Perform Hajj and 'Umrah consecutively; for they remove poverty and sin as the bellows removes impurity from iron.''' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2630)
I saw the Prophet ﷺ on his Mount praying Nawafil by nodding his head, whatever direction he faced, but Messenger of Allah ﷺ never did the same in offering the compulsory prayers. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1097)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies without obedience, he dies the death of ignorance. And if he removes it after its contract is made on his neck, he will meet Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, and he will not have any proof. Behold, a man should not be alone with a woman to whom he is not lawful, for verily, the devil is the third between them, except in a forbidden circumstance. Indeed, the devil is with the one alone, while he is farther from the two. Whoever is pleased with his good deeds and displeased with his bad deeds is a believer." Husayn said after their contract was made on his neck.
[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , Aswad or maybe a partner mentioned from Aasim who mentioned from Abdullah bin Amr who mentioned from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Follow between Hajj and Umrah, for indeed continuously performing them increases lifespan, sustenance, and wipes away sins as the bellows removes impurities from iron.'"
from the Prophet ﷺ- that he said: ʿFollow Hajj with ‘Umrah and 'Umrah with Hajj, for doing that will eliminate poverty and sin as the bellows eliminate dross.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 167)
"When you see a funeral, stand up until it has passed you, or (the body) is placed (in the grave)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1916)
