[Machine] We came to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "Why do you come to me with dirty mouths? Had it not been difficult for my ummah, I would have made it obligatory for them to use the siwak (tooth stick) just as I have made it obligatory for them to perform ablution (wudu)."
أَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا بَالُكُمْ تَأْتُونِي قُلْحًا لَا تَسَوَّكُونَ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ كَمَا فَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْوُضُوءَ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why do I see you coming to me with unkempt hair? Would it not be difficult for my Ummah (nation) if I were to impose the use of Siwak (tooth-cleaning twig) on them, just as I have made Wudu (ablution) obligatory upon them?"
أَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَوِ أتِيَ فَقَالَ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ تَأْتُونِي قُلْحًا اسْتَاكُوا لَوْلا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ كَمَا فَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمِ الْوُضُوءَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If it were not difficult for my Ummah (followers), I would have made it obligatory for them to use the Siwak (tooth stick) before every prayer, just as I made it obligatory for them to perform ablution before prayer."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ كَمَا فَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْوُضُوءَ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Why do I see you coming to me with unkempt hair? If it were not difficult for my ummah (community), I would have made it obligatory for them to use the tooth stick (siwak) just as the prayer is obligated upon them."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ تَأْتُونِي قُلْحًا اسْتَاكُوا فَلَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ كَمَا فُرِضَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلَاةُ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Why do I see you coming to me with disheveled hair? If it were not for the hardship on my Ummah, I would have made it obligatory for them to use the Siwak (toothbrush) just as it is obligatory for them to perform ablution."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ تَأْتُونِي قُلْحًا لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ كَمَا فُرِضَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْوُضُوءُ كَذَا
"استْاكُوا استْاكُوا - تأتُونِى قُلحًا؟ لولا أنْ أشُقَّ على أُمَّتِي، لَفرضْتُ عليهم السّواكَ عِنْد كُل صلاة".
"مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ تَأتُونِى قُلْحًا، اسْتَاكُوا فَلَوْلا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرضْتُ عَلَيهِمُ السِّواكَ كَما فُرضَتْ عَلَيهُمُ الصَّلاةُ".
"مَا لي أَرَاكُم تَأتُونِى قُلَحاءَ، اسْتَاكُوا فَلَوْلا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتي لَفرضْتُ عَلَيهمُ السِّواكَ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلاةٍ كَما فَرَضتُ عَلَيهُم الْوُضُوءَ".
"لَوْلا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيهِم السِّواكَ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلاةٍ كَمَا فَرَضْتُ عَلَيهِم الْوُضُوءَ".
"لَوْلا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أمَّتِي [لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي السِّوُاكَ] كَمَا فَرَضْتُ عَلَيهِم الطُّهُور".
