[Machine] Amr ibn Wahb al-Thaqafi said: We were with al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba and he was asked: Did anyone other than Abu Bakr become the father of any of the people of this Ummah? He said: Yes, we were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and when he was suffering from magic, he struck the neck of my camel. I thought he needed something, so I accompanied him. We continued until we were away from the people, and he alighted from his animal and then went away until I could not see him. He stayed away for a long time, then he came back and asked: O Mughira, do you have any water? I said: Yes. So I went to a nearby well or a suspended waterskin at the end of the camel. I brought him water and he poured it on his hands, then he washed them well. He said: I doubt whether he said: Did he wipe his hands with dust or not? Then he washed his face. Then he turned his hands over and there was a narrow Syrian cloak on them, and it became tight. So he pulled his hands out from under it, and he washed his face and hands. He said: Does the hadith mention washing the face twice? He said: I do not know if it was like this or not. Then he wiped his face with his index fingers and wiped his turban and wiped his socks. Then we rode and caught up with the people, and the prayer had already been established. They were led by Abdullah ibn Awf, and he had already prayed one rak'ah with them while they were in the second rak'ah. So I went to give the Adhan and he prohibited me, so we prayed the rak'ah that we had caught up with and we made up the rak'ah that we had missed.

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A group of people from my Umma will continue to be triumphant over the people until the Command of Allah overtakes them while they are still triumphant. (Using translation from Muslim 1921a)

Translation: Mughirah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a dispute, and the Prophet ﷺ made a decision in his favor. Umar said to him, "If you are truthful, bring someone who knows about this." Muhammad ibn Muslimah testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had indeed made a decision in his favor.
Mughirah bin Shubah said: “I came to the Prophet and told him of a woman to whom I had to propose marriage. He said: 'Go and look at her, for that is more likely to create love between you.' So I went to a woman among the Ansar and proposed marriage through her parents. I told them what the Prophet had said, and it was as if they did not like that. Then I heard that woman, behind her curtain, say: 'If the Messenger of Allah has told you to do that, then do it, otherwise I adjure you by Allah (not to do so)'. And it was as if she regarded that as a serious matter. So I looked at her and married her.” And he mentioned how well he got along with her. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1866)
there were two co-wives, one of whom struck the other with a tent people and killed her. The Messenger of Allah ruled that the Diyah was to be paid by the 'Asabah of the killer, and that a slave should be given (as diyah) for the child in her womb. The Bedouin Said: "Are you penalizing me for one who neither ate nor drank, or shouted or cried (at the moment of birth)? Such a one should be overlooked/" He said: "Rhyming verse like the verse of the Jahiliyyah," and he ruled that a slave should e given (as Diyah) for the child in her womb. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4823)

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying when he made the salutation: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise. O Allah, there is no withholder of what You give, and no giver of what You withhold. And no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, for from You is all wealth and majesty." Then Warraad said, "I went to Muawiyah after that and I heard him ordering the people to say this statement and teaching it to them."

So, whoever intentionally lies about me, let him reserve his seat in the Hellfire.' And indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Whoever imitates a people, he will be punished for what they are known for imitating.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution during a journey, so he washed his face and arms, wiped his head, and wiped over his feet. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I not remove your shoes?" He said, "No, for I have put them on while they were pure, and then I did not walk barefoot. Then he prayed the Fajr prayer."

[Machine] Indeed, the sun eclipsed on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, passed away. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said, "Indeed, the sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death of anyone. Rather, they are two signs from the signs of Allah ﷻ. So if you see either of them eclipsed, then hasten to the prayer." Then he descended and mentioned that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in prayer and he began to blow between his two hands. Then he stretched out his hand as if he was taking something. When he finished, he said, "Indeed, the fire came close to me until I blew its heat away from my face. And I saw in it the owner of the millstone and the one who brings out water from the lake, as well as the owner of the donkey and the one who possesses a cat."

A man of Hudhail has two wives. One of them struck her fellow-wife with a tent-pole and killed her and her unborn child. They brought the dispute to the Prophet ﷺ. One of two men said: How can we pay bloodwit for the one who did not make a noise, or ate, nor drank, nor raised his voice ? He (the Prophet) asked: Is it rhymed prose like that of bedouin? He gave judgement that a male or female slave of the best quality should be paid in compensation, and he fixed it to be paid by woman's relatives on her father's side. He tried to take out his hand from its sleeves but was unable to do so. Therefore, he took out his hands from beneath the cloak, then he performed ablution and wiped over his socks."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went to relieve himself during the Battle of Tabuk. Al-Mughira said, "I went with him carrying water. The Prophet ﷺ came and I poured water for him to do ablution. He washed his face, then he tried to take out his hands from the sleeves of his shirt, but he could not due to the tightness of the sleeves. He then took them out from beneath the shirt, washed his hands, wiped his head, and wiped over his socks. The Prophet ﷺ and Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, who was leading the prayer, performed a prayer together. The Prophet ﷺ prayed the remaining Rak'ah with them. When the Prophet ﷺ finished, he said, 'You have done well.'"

"Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah les us in Salat. When he prayed two Rak'ah he stood without sitting. Those who were behind him said 'Subhan Allah' and he indicated to them that they should stand. He said the Taslim when he had finished his Salat and he performed two prostrations of As-Sahw, and said the Taslim. He said that Messenger of Allah did this." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 365)

[Machine] We asked, "Was the Prophet's mother a man from this nation other than Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq?" He replied, "Yes, we were on a journey to a certain place, and when it became late, the Messenger of Allah struck his animal's neck and set off. I followed him, but he disappeared from me for an hour. Then he came and asked, 'What do you need?' I said, 'I have no need, O Messenger of Allah.' He asked, 'Do you have any water?' I said, 'Yes.' So I poured water for him, and he washed his hands, then washed his face. Then he went to wash his forearms, but his sleeve was tight, so he put his hands underneath the sleeve, washed his face again, washed his forearms, wiped over his forehead, wiped over his turban and his shoes. Then we joined the people, and the prayer had already started. Abdur Rahman ibn Awf was leading them, and he had already prayed one Rak'ah. So I went to give the Adhan, but he stopped me. We prayed the prayer that we had caught up with, and we made up the prayer that we had missed."

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There will always be a group of people from my nation who will fight for the truth openly, until the command of Allah (swt) comes to them."
O, myson, why are you worried because of him? He will not harm you. I said: The people think that he would have with him rivers of water and mountains of bread, whereupon he said: He would be more insignificant in the sight of Allah than all these things (belonging to him). (Using translation from Muslim 2152a)
Saʿd bin Ubada said, "If I found a man with my wife, I would kill him with the sharp side of my sword." When the Prophet ﷺ heard that he said, "Do you wonder at Saʿd's sense of ghira (self-respect)? Verily, I have more sense of ghira than Saʿd, and Allah has more sense of ghira than I." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6846)

[Machine] "I went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys, and we continued until we reached the face of the pre-dawn darkness. Then he went ahead and disappeared from my sight for a while. He struck a place for relieving himself, then he came back and called for water for purification. He had a narrow Syrian garment with short sleeves on, and he put his hand through the bottom of the garment. Then he washed his face, hands, and wiped his head, and wiped over his socks."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell behind to fulfill his needs. He then asked, "Do you have any ablution water?" I followed him with a basin that had water in it, and he washed his hands and face. Then he went to lift his sleeves, but the cuffs of his garment were tight. So, he took his hands out from under the garment and washed his arms. He then wiped over his turban, his socks, and mounted his ride. I mounted my ride, and we reached the people. Abdullah bin Awf had already led them in a prayer. When he sensed the presence of the Prophet ﷺ , he began to delay the prayer. The Prophet ﷺ gestured to him to complete the prayer, indicating that he had done well and should continue.

[Machine] He said, "I lagged behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Battle of Tabuk and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went ahead and returned to me while I had the water container with me. He said, 'Pour water for me to perform ablution.' So, I poured water for him to perform ablution, and he washed his face three times and then tried to wash his forearms, but as he reached the elbows, the water was running out. So, he sprinkled water over his arms and washed them three times and then passed his wet hands over his Khuffain (leather socks). Then he again sprinkled water over his arms. He then washed his feet thrice. When he wanted to wash his face for the fourth time, he said, 'I do not find water.' So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed his wet hands over his head and Khuffain and then washed his face with that water. When he went out and saw the people, he noticed that they had already performed the Asr prayer with 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf, and he said, 'What is this?' They replied, 'We have already prayed.' So, he said, 'Is there no other prayer for 'Aisha (your sister)?' They replied, 'We have not performed the prayer yet.' So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went towards the dwellings of Banu Quraiza and ascended a (high) place, and offered the Asr prayer. Then, he returned and said, 'Let any who has performed the prayer with us go back.'

I heard Mughira b. Shu'ba saying that the sun eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day when Ibrahim died. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Verily the sun and the moon are the two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse on account of the death of anyone or on account of the birth of anyone. So when you see them, supplicate Allah, and observe prayer till it is over. (Using translation from Muslim 915)

The clerk of Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba narrated, "Muawiya wrote to Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba: Write to me something which you have heard from the Prophet ﷺ ." So Al-Mughira wrote: I heard the Prophet saying, "Allah has hated for you three things: -1. Vain talks, (useless talk) that you talk too much or about others. -2. Wasting of wealth (by extravagance) -3. And asking too many questions (in disputed religious matters) or asking others for something (except in great need). [Machine] The passenger walks behind the funeral procession, while the walker walks behind it and in front of it, to its right and left closely, and the deceased is prayed for him, and he is called upon for his parents with health and mercy. [Machine] We were with Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah and he was asked, "Did the Prophet ﷺ have children from any other woman of this Ummah except Abu Bakr?" He said, "Yes." He then added a detail to this statement that made the narration more reliable. He said, "We were with the Prophet ﷺ while we were traveling. When it was time for the magical spell, he struck the neck of my camel. I thought he needed something, so I went to him and stayed with him until we were away from the people. He then dismounted from his camel and started to walk in a way that I could not see him. He stayed away for a long time, then he came back and asked, 'Do you have any water, O Mughirah?' I said, 'Yes.' So I went near a water container hanging at the back of the camel and brought it to him. He poured the water on his hands and washed them properly. I also noticed that he wiped his hands with soil and then washed his face. He then wiped his hands on his Turban, wiped it on his feet, and then started to put on a tight Sham'iyah cloak. It became too tight, so he took out his hands from under it to wash his face and hands, as if washing his face twice. I do not know if this is how the washing was done or not. Then, he wiped his fingers and wiped over his Turban, wiped over his shoes, and we then mounted our camels. We caught up with the people and they had already performed the prayer. 'Abdul-Rahman ibn 'Awf led them in prayer, and he had prayed one Rak'ah while they were in the second Rak'ah. I went forward to call the Adhan for him, but he gestured to me not to. So, we performed the Rak'ah that we had missed and then completed what they had already prayed.

"Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah wrote to Mu'awiyah (Saying) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say following every prayer, after the taslim: 'La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma la mani' lima a'taita wa la mu'tia lima mana'ta wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka al-jadd. (There is none worthy of worship except Allah ﷺ alone with no partner or associate. He is the Dominion and to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things. O Allah, one can withhold what You have given and none can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone for from You comes all wealth and fortune.)' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1342)
