O, myson, why are you worried because of him? He will not harm you. I said: The people think that he would have with him rivers of water and mountains of bread, whereupon he said: He would be more insignificant in the sight of Allah than all these things (belonging to him). أحمد:١٨١٦٧حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ

مَا سَأَلَ أَحَدٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لِي أَيْ بُنَيَّ وَمَا يُنْصِبُكَ مِنْهُ؟ إِنَّهُ لَنْ يَضُرَّكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ مَعَهُ جِبَالَ الْخُبْزِ وَأَنْهَارَ الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ هُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ ﷻ مِنْ ذَاكَ

Nobody asked the Prophet ﷺ as many questions as I asked regarding Ad-Dajjal. The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "What worries you about him?" I said, "Because the people say that he will have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him (i.e. he will have abundance of food and water)" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Nay, he is too mean to be allowed such a thing by Allah"' (but it is only to test mankind whether they believe in Allah or in Ad-Dajjal.)

No one asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ more about Dajjil than I asked him. He said: He should not be a source of worry to you for he would not be able to do any harm to you. I said: Messenger of Allah, it is alleged that he would have along with him (abundance of) food and water. Thereupon he said: He would be very insignificant in the eye of Allah (even) with all this.

What did you ask? Mughira replied: I said that the people alleged that he would have a mountain load of bread and mutton and rivers of water. Thereupon he said: He would be more insignificant in the eye of Allah compared with all this.

"No one asked the Prophet ﷺ about Dajjal more than I did." (One of the narrators) Ibn Numair said (in his version): "(No one asked) more difficult questions than I did." - "He said to me: 'What are you asking about him?' I said: 'They say he will have food and drink with him.' He said: 'He is too insignificant before Allah for that.'"

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have heard that with the Dajjal, there will be mountains of bread and flowing rivers of water." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is easier for Allah than that." Al-Mughirah said, "So I was one of the people who asked about it the most, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'It is not what harms you.'"

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ مَعَ الدَّجَّالِ جِبَالُ الْخُبْزِ وَأَنْهَارُ الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «هُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ» قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ فَكُنْتُ مِنْ أَكْثَرِ النَّاسِ سُؤَالًا عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ بِالَّذِي يَضُرُّكَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , did not ask about the Dajjal more than I did, and indeed he said to me, "What harm does he cause you?" I said, "They say he will have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him." He said, "That is easier for Allah than that."

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, it has been narrated to me that with the Dajjal there will be rivers of water and mountains of bread." He (the Prophet) said, "It is easier for Allah than that." So I became one of the most inquisitive people about him. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "He will not harm you."  

الطبراني:١٨١٥٣حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ مَعَ الدَّجَّالِ أَنْهَارَ الْمَاءِ وَجِبَالَ الْخُبْزِ قَالَ «هُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ» فَكُنْتُ مِنْ أَكْثَرِ النَّاسِ سُؤَالًا عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ بِالَّذِي يَضُرُّكَ»
