[Machine] I and my father set off to see the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and, while we were on the way, we met him. My father said to me, "O my son, this is the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)!" I thought that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did not resemble other people, but then I saw that he had wide shoulders and hair reaching his earlobes, with two green garments over him. It was as if I was looking at his legs. Then he asked my father, "Who is this with you?" My father replied, "This is my son." The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) laughed because of how my father swore. Then he said, "You spoke the truth. Indeed, you do not resemble him, and he does not resemble you." Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) recited the verse, "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." [Surah Al-An'am, 6: 164]

[Machine] When people separated, I joined a group of people whom I loved their company more than any other. We traveled to the bank of a river and a mosque was raised for us. Suddenly, a man appeared and when he saw the horses' manes, he came out startled, grabbing his clothes. Our leader asked him, "Why are you alarmed?" He replied, "You have frightened me." Our leader said, "Who are you?" He replied, "I am Abdullah ibn Khabbab." Our leader said, "Tell us a hadith that you heard from your father, who narrated it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So he narrated a hadith from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned a tribulation, saying, "The one who sits during it is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who runs. But if you come across it, be like Abdullah, the one who was killed." They then took him to the bank of the river and slaughtered him. I saw his blood flowing in the water like a red stream. It was the darkest shade of red. Then they took his mother and his son and killed them. His mother was pregnant, so they cut open her belly. I have never been in the company of a people more hated by me than them until I found an opportunity to escape.

We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a funeral, and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the grave giving this instruction to the grave-digger: Make it wide on the side of his feet, and make it wide on the side of his head. When he came back, he was received by a man who conveyed an invitation from a woman. So he came (to her), to it food was brought, and he put his hand (i.e. took a morsel in his hand); the people did the same and they ate. Our fathers noticed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was moving a morsel around his mouth. He then said: I find the flesh of a sheep which has been taken without its owner's permission. The woman sent a message to say: Messenger of Allah, I sent (someone) to an-Naqi' to have a sheep bought for me, but there was none; so I sent (a message) to my neighbour who had bought a sheep, asking him to send it to me for the price (he had paid), but he could not be found. I, therefore, sent (a message) to his wife and she sent it to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Give this food to the prisoners. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3332)

We saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressing (the people) in the middle of the tashriq days when we were staying near his mount. This is the address of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which he gave at Mina.

ibnmajah:2783Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Shaqīq > Abū Mūsá

“The Prophet ﷺ was asked about a man who fights to prove his courage, or out of pride and honour for his close relatives, or to show off. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever fights so that the Word of Allah may be supreme is the one who (is fighting) in the cause of Allah.’”

malik:29-24Mālik > Balaghah > a man Saʾal al-Qāsim b. Muḥammad And Sulaymān b. Yasār > a man Taẓāhar Min Āmraʾatih Qabl > Yankiḥahā

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that a man asked al-Qasim ibn Muhammad and Sulayman ibn Yasar about a man who pronounced dhihar from his wife before he had married her. They said, "If he marries her, he must not touch her until he has done the kaffara for pronouncing dhihar."
