[Machine] About a man who donated money in the way of Allah, Abu Darda said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of the person who gives charity at the time of his death or frees a slave is like the one who gives a gift after being satisfied with his meal."  

الدارمي:٣٢٦٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ

عَنْ رَجُلٍ جَعَلَ دَرَاهِمَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَتَصَدَّقُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ أَوْ يُعْتِقُ كَالَّذِي يُهْدِي بَعْدَمَا شَبِعَ»

"A man made a will leaving some Dinars (to be spent) in the cause of Allah. Abu Ad-Darda' was asked about that, and he narrated that the Prophet said: 'The likeness of the one who frees a slave or gives some charity when he is dying, is that of a man who gives a gift after he has eaten his fill.'"
