[Machine] I said: O Messenger of Allah, should I pay Zakat (a form of obligatory charity) from my people? He said: Zakat is only upon the Jews and Christians. And it was narrated by Hammad bin Salama from Harb bin Ubaidullah from a man among his tribesmen.  

البيهقي:١٨٧٠٦وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ خَالِهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَعْشُرُ قَوْمِي؟ قَالَ إِنَّمَا الْعُشُورُ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى وَرَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حَرْبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَخْوَالِهِ
