[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , there is no zakat for horses and slaves except for the zakat al-fitr on slaves. This is the correct view, and his hadith from Abu al-Zinad is not preserved, and is considered weak, as he did not hear it from Urwa.
[Machine] That the Prophet, ﷺ , used to lie down after performing the two units of Fajr prayer, as narrated by others from Shu'bah, from Musa, from Sa'id, from the Prophet, ﷺ , intermittently as mentioned in these narrations. It has been mentioned in the established hadith from Kurayb, from Ibn Abbas, that indicates that his lying down was after Witr prayer. It is also possible that the narration of Malik suggests this. And Allah knows best.
[Machine] He prayed with the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned the hadith, saying, "And he used to say between the two prostrations, 'O Lord, forgive me, O Lord, forgive me,' and he sat as long as his prostration."
A man from Banu Asad said : I and my family alighted at Baqi al-Gharqad. My wife said to me : Go the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and beg something from him for our eating, and made a mention of there need. So I went to the Messenger of Allah(May peace be upon him). I found with a man who was begging from him and he was saying to him: I have nothing to give you. The man turned away from him in anger while he was saying: By my life, you give anyone you wish. The Messenger of Allah(May peace be upon him) said : He’s anger with me, for I have nothing to give him. If any of you begs when he has an Uqiyah or its equivalent, he has begged immoderately. The man of Banu Asad said : So I said : The she camel of ours is better than an uqiyah, while an uqiyah is equivalent to 40 Dirhams. I therefore returned and did not beg from him. Afterwards some barley and raisins where brought to the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him). He gave us a share from them (or as he reported)till Allah, the Exalted, made us self-sufficient(i.e well off). Abu Dawud said: Al-Thawri narrated it as Malik narrated. I brought him to Ali, and Ali asked him, "Did you get married?" He replied, "Yes." Ali asked, "Did you consummate the marriage?" He replied, "No." Ali then flogged him a hundred times, fined him half of the marriage gift, and separated them.

[Machine] Uthman sent me on a trade mission, so I went to him and praised him for the leadership. I approached him one day and said, "O Amir al-Mu'minin, I ask you for a written document." He hesitated, then said, "Yes, if it weren't for a verse in the Book of Allah, I wouldn't have written it for you, even if you were to count it for me in two counts. No, by Allah, I would not diminish it even by a dirham." So I left his presence and met Zubair ibn al-Awwam who asked, "What do I see in you?" I replied, "The Amir al-Mu'minin sent me on a trade mission, so I went to him and praised him for the leadership. I approached him and said, 'O Amir al-Mu'minin, I ask you for a written document.' He hesitated and said, 'Yes, if it weren't for a verse in the Book of Allah, I wouldn't have written it for you, even if you were to count it for me in two counts. No, by Allah, I would not diminish it even by a dirham.'" He then said, "Go." Zubair then returned me to him and stood before him and said, "O Amir al-Mu'minin, did you write for him so-and-so?" He hesitated and said, "Yes, if it weren't for a verse in the Book of Allah, I wouldn't have written it for him, even if he were to count it for me in two counts. No, by Allah, I would not diminish it even by a dirham." Zubair became angry and said to Allah, "I swear I will face you directly, for I only seek a need from you that can be resolved with my right hand." Uthman struck his shoulder or his side and said, "Write it." So I wrote it down and left with Zubair to his family. He gave me 100,000 and said, "Go, seek the blessings of Allah with it. If an affair overpowers you, then return Uthman's portion to him." So I went and sought the blessings of Allah with it, and I paid Uthman his portion and Zubair his portion, and I had 80,000 in my hand.

A man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited cupping and perpetual fasting, but he had not made them unlawful showing mercy on his Companions. On the authority of a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ: People differed among themselves on the last day of Ramadan (about the appearance of the moon of Shawwal). Then two bedouins came and witnessed before the Prophet ﷺ swearing by Allah that they had sighted moon the previous evening. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the people to break the fast. Abdullah came out and Abu Umair came and said, "O Abu Abdur Rahman, no one is like you in jealousy. Why didn't you greet the people of your brother and sit down and have some of the drink?" He said, "I did that." So the servant was sent, but she was slow, either because they didn't have it or because they were reluctant to give what they had. So the servant was slow, so he cursed her. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Verily, when the curse is directed towards someone, and it finds a way to reach him or a path in him, it will be effective. Otherwise, it will say, 'O Lord, I was directed at so and so, but I did not find a way to reach him and I did not find a path in him.' Then it will be said to her, 'Go back from where you came.' So I feared that the servant was excused, and the curse would return, and I would be its cause."
