"I saw Ibn Masud stone Jamratul 'Aqabah from the bottom of the valley, then he said: This - by the One besides Whom there is no other God-is the place where the one to whom Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed stood."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3072)

ahmad:3549Hushaym > Ḥuṣayn > Kathīr b. Mudrik al-Ashjaʿī > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yazīd

[Machine] That Abdullah responded when he returned from a gathering, it was said: "This is an Arab." Abdullah said: "Do people forget or have they gone astray? I have heard the one upon whom Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed saying in this place: 'Labbaik Allahumma labbaik'."

ahmad:3550Hushaym > Ḥuṣayn > Hilāl b. Yisāf > Abū Ḥayyān al-Ashjaʿī > Ibn Masʿūd > Qāl Lī Āqraʾ ʿAlay from al-Qurān > Faqult Lah Alays Mink Taʿallamtuh And ʾAnt Tuqriʾunā

[Machine] So I said to him, "Did I not learn it from you while you teach us?" He said, "Indeed, I visited the Prophet ﷺ one day, and he told me to recite some Quran to him." He said, "So I said, O Messenger of Allah, wasn't it revealed to you and didn't we learn it from you?" He said, "Yes, but I like to hear it from someone other than myself."

ahmad:3551Hushaym > Mughīrah > Abū Razīn > Ibn Masʿūd

[Machine] "I recited to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Surah An-Nisa, and when I reached this verse: 'So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness' [Quran 4:41], his eyes welled up with tears."

ahmad:3552Hushaym > Sayyār And Mughīrah > Abū Wāʾil

[Machine] The son of Mas'ud has two characteristics, one of which I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the other from myself. Whoever dies while associating partners with Allah and not making anything a rival to Him will enter the Hellfire, and I say that whoever dies without associating partners with Allah and not making anything a rival to Him will enter Paradise.

ahmad:3553Hushaym > ʿAlī b. Zayd > Abū ʿUbaydah b. ʿAbdullāh > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, the sperm remains in the womb for forty days in its original state without any change. Then, after the forty days, it becomes a clinging clot, then a lump of flesh, and so on. When Allah intends to complete its creation, He sends an angel to it, who asks, 'O Lord, is it a male or a female? Wretched or blessed? Short or tall? Deficient or complete?' Allah then writes all of this down. Then, a man from the people asked, 'What is the role of actions, when all of this has already been decreed?' He (the Messenger of Allah) replied, 'Work. Everyone will be directed towards what he was created for.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any two Muslims who have three children that have not reached the age of puberty will be protected by a fortress from the Hellfire." It was asked, "What if they have only two children?" He replied, "Even if they have only two children." Abu Dharr said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have only brought forth two children." He said, "Even if you have only two." Ubayy ibn Ka'b, the master of reciters, said, "I have only brought forth one." It was asked, "And what if it is only one?" He replied, "That is also valid at the first collision."

ahmad:3555Hushaym > Abū al-Zubayr > Nāfiʿ b. Jubayr > Abū ʿUbaydah b. ʿAbdullāh from his father

"Abdullah said: 'The idolaters kept the Prophet ﷺ from (offering) four prayers on the day of Al-Khandaq, so he commanded Bilal to call the Adhan, then he said the Iqamah and prayed Zuhr, then he said the Iqamah and prayed 'Asr, then he said the Iqamah and prayed the Maghrib, then he said the Iqamah and prayed 'Isha'.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 662)

ahmad:3556Hushaym > al-ʿAwwām > Jabalah b. Suḥaym > Muʾthir b. ʿAfāzah > Ibn Masʿūd

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ, he said: I met Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa during the night of my ascension. We discussed the matter of the Hour, and they referred the matter to Ibrahim. He said, "I have no knowledge of it." So they turned to Musa, and he said, "I have no knowledge of it." Then they turned to Isa and he said, "As for its occurrence, no one knows about it except Allah." Then, by the will of Allah, I was informed that the Dajjal (Antichrist) will appear and he will be accompanied by two rods (staffs) with him. When he sees me, he will start melting like lead. Allah will destroy him. Even the stone and the tree will say to the Muslim, "There is a disbeliever behind me. Come and kill him." Allah will destroy the disbelievers, and then the people will return to their homelands and dwellings. At this time, Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog) will emerge and they will spread from every hill. They will corrupt everything in their path and they will drink all the water they come across. Then the people will return to me and complain about them. I will then pray to Allah and He will destroy them, causing their bodies to rot until the earth is filled with their stench. Allah, Almighty and Glorious, will send rain and it will wash away their remains into the sea. My father stood up and said, "Here is something that I do not understand." He said, "Yazid means the son of Harun." Then Allah will cause the mountains to collapse and the earth will be stretched like the hide of a ram. Then he mentioned the narration of Hushaym. He said, "I was informed by my Lord, Almighty and Glorious, that if it is inevitable, then the Hour is like a pregnant woman who doesn't know when she will give birth, it will take them by surprise, whether it happens at night or during the day."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer in the time of danger. They (the people) stood in two rows. One row was behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the other faced the enemy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in one rak'ah,and then the other section came and took their place; they went and faced the enemy. The Prophet ﷺ led them in one rak'ah and uttered the salutation. They stood up and prayed the second rak'ah by themselves and uttered the salutation and went away; they took the place of the other section facing the enemy. They came back and took their place. They prayed one rak'ah by themselves and then uttered the salutation. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1244)

I testify that there is not god but Allah. “Ibn ‘Umar said: I added to it: He is alone, no one is His associate, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His Apostle. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He who swears an oath in which he tells a lie to take the property of a Muslim by unfair means, will meet Allah while He is angry with him. Al-Ash'ath said: I swear by Allah, he said this about me. There was some land between me and a Jew, but he denied it to me; so I presented him to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ asked me: Have you any evidence? I replied: No. He said to the Jew: Take an oath. I said: Messenger of Allah, now he will take an oath and take my property. So Allah, the Exalted, revealed the verse, "As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the hereafter."
