This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Aḥmad 1372)
هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ

وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ
Whenever Ibn ʿUmar intended to go to Mecca he used to oil himself with a sort of oil that had no pleasant smell, then he would go to the Mosque of Al-Hulaita and offer the prayer, and then ride. When he mounted well on his Mount and the Mount stood up straight, he would proclaim the intention of assuming Ihram, and he used to say that he had seen the Prophet ﷺ doing the same.
هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ
'Amr b. Abu Sufyan transmitted a hadith like this from Abu Huraira who narrated it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
Abu Zubair al-Makki reported that he had heard 'Abdullah b. Zubair uttering (the words) like that of the hadith (narrated above) at the end of the prayer after pronouncing salutation. He at the conclusion also said that he was making a mention of that from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
This hadith has been narrated by Abdullah b. al-Sa'di from 'Umar b. al-Khattab who heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ
This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Aḥmad 1372)
وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ
Why do you put on the lower garment in this way? He replied: It is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4096)
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُهُ»
This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَنَعَ هَكَذَا
"We prayed with Abdullah bin Mas'ud in his house. He stood between us and we placed our hands on our knees, but he took them off and made us interlace our fingers, and said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do that.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1030)
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ هَذَا فَفَعَلْتُ
"This is what I saw the Messenger of Allah doing." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2932)
هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ
[AI] This is how the Prophet ﷺ treated us in this place.
هَكَذَا صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِنَا فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ
Salamah bin Kuhail said “I saw Sa’id bin Jubair he called the iqamah at Al Muzdalifah and offered three ra’kahs of the sunset prayer and two ra’kahs of the night prayer. He then said “I attended Ibn ‘Umar.” He did like this in this place and he (Ibn ‘Umar) said “I attended the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ”. He did in a similar way in this place. رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ مِثْلَ هَذَا فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ
Al-Bara' described to us (the nature of prostration). He placed his hands (palms), reclined on his knees, and raised his hips; he said: This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prostrate himself. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 896)
وَقَالَ هَكَذَا كَانَ يَفْعَلُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
[AI] I heard Abu Huraira saying, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying in his sandals."
سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي نَعْلَيْهِ
[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon from the pulpit."
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ
[AI] "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Give them permission.'"
وَقَالَ رَخَّصَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being offered something (pleasant) and he rejected it."
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ طِيبٌ فَرَدَّهُ قَطُّ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted them permission.
رَخَّصَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to allow it and complete it, meaning he would shorten the prayer.
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُجَوِّزُهَا وَيُكْمِلُهَا يَعْنِي يُخَفِّفُ الصَّلَاةَ
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in a single garment crossing the two ends. (Using translation from Muslim 518a)
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ

لَنَا إِنِّي إِنَّمَا صَلَّيْتُ لِتَرَيَانِي إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying on a camel towards Sham."
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى بَعِيرٍ نَحْوَ الشَّامِ
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution before approaching a crowd.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى كِظَامَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ
Praying in patched sandals
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in a pair of patched sandals.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَيْنِ.
Wa’il b.Hujr said that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raise his hands when he uttered the takbir (Allah is most great). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 725)
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ مَعَ التَّكْبِيرِ
[AI] And he said, "So did the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ."
وَقَالَ كَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ eating chicken.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ دَجَاجًا
This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
"We prayed with Abdullah bin Mas'ud in his house. He stood between us and we placed our hands on our knees, but he took them off and made us interlace our fingers, and said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do that.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1030)
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying while sitting with crossed legs.
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يُصَلِّي مُتَرَبِّعًا»
[AI] She said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying while seated."
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مُتَرَبِّعًا»
[AI] "This is how it is done by scientists."
«هَكَذَا يُصْنَعُ بِالْعُلَمَاءِ»

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ
ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ كَانَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ
"We prayed with Abdullah bin Mas'ud in his house. He stood between us and we placed our hands on our knees, but he took them off and made us interlace our fingers, and said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do that.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1030)
وَقَالَ «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ»
ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ كَانَ إِسْلَامُهُ فِي آخِرِ الْإِسْلَامِ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ
[AI] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ do something like this."
«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا»
ذِكْرُ اسْتِحْبَابِ التَّعْجِيلِ بِصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ
[AI] Anas said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying like this, so I will never abandon it."
أَنَسٌ «إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا فَلَا أَتْرُكُهَا أَبَدًا»
ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ الْعَطْفِ الَّذِي يَعْمَلُهُ الْإِنْسَانُ بِثَوْبِهِ إِذَا صَلَّى فِيهِ
[AI] "And he said, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allahﷺ performed the prayer as such.'"
وَقَالَ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّاهَا كَذَلِكَ»
ذِكْرُ إِبَاحَةِ صَلَاةِ الْمَرْءِ إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فِي الْفَضَاءِ عِنْدَ عَدَمِ الْعَنَزَةِ وَالسُّتْرَةِ
[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying towards his riding animal.
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ»
ذِكْرُ الْإِبَاحَةِ لِمُسْتَلِمِ الْحَجَرِ فِي الطَّوَافِ، أَنْ يُقَبِّلَ يَدَهُ بَعْدَ اسْتِلَامِهِ إِيَّاهُ
[AI] And he said, "I have not left him since I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kiss him."
وَقَالَ مَا تَرَكْتُهُ مُنْذُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُهُ»
[AI] "I saw the messenger of Allah ﷺ praying like this."
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي كَذَلِكَ»
ذِكْرُ إِبَاحَةِ التَّطَيُّبِ لِلْمَرْءِ بِالْعُودِ النِّيءِ وَالْكَافُورِ
This is how Messenger of Allah ﷺ fumigated. (Using translation from Muslim 2254)
«هَكَذَا كَانَ يَسْتَجْمِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
ذِكْرُ إِثْبَاتِ الْجَنَّةِ لِلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَعَلَ
“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘The (funeral) prayer should be offered for a child.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1507)
أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ»
[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his sandals."
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ»
[AI] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying in his sandals."
«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ»
[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing."
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ»
