عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and so and so said?

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ فُلَانٌ؟

هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ

وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُهُ»

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ

لَنَا إِنِّي إِنَّمَا صَلَّيْتُ لِتَرَيَانِي إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his leather slippers (when doing wudoo’). (Using translation from Aḥmad 216)

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُعَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , raising his hands when he started the prayer.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَيْنِ.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُشِيرُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ.

Wa’il b.Hujr said that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raise his hands when he uttered the takbir (Allah is most great). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 725)

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ مَعَ التَّكْبِيرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ eating chicken.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ دَجَاجًا

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I saw on the foot of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a worn-out sandal.

رَأَيْتُ فِي رِجْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَعْلًا مَخْصُوفَةً

[AI] "He saw on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a pair of worn-out sandals."

أَنَّهُ رَأَى عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَتَيْنِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prayed in the caravans."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ

[AI] I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon while standing.

مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ إِلَّا قَائِمًا

[AI] I saw the Prophet ﷺ placing his right hand over his left hand during prayer, and I saw him turning away from his right and left sides.

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turning away from his sides.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ شِقَّيْهِ

مَا نَسِيتُ مِنَ الْأَشْيَاءِ لَمْ أَنسَ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْقِدُ التَّسْبِيحَ بِيَدِهِ»

[AI] "Allow me to wear my sandals so that he may wear them and pray in them, saying, 'I have seen the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , praying in my sandals.'"

نَاوِلْنِي نَعْلِي فَيَنْتَعِلُ وَيُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ»

[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his sandals."

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ»

[AI] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying in his sandals."

«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ»

[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing."

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ»
