"I saw Ibn ʿUmar praying while taking his camel as a Sutra in front of him and he said, "I saw the Prophet doing the same."

وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ

وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prayed on a mat.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «صَلَّى عَلَى حَصِيرٍ»

"I asked Anas bin Malik: 'Did the Prophet ﷺ pray in sandals?' He said: 'Yes.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 775)

سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

Why do you put on the lower garment in this way? He replied: It is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4096)

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُهُ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed at the grave of a woman who had been buried.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى قَبْرِ امْرَأَةٍ قَدْ دُفِنَتْ

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in a single garment, wrapped around him. He said, "Afaanu has blended between his sides."

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] "I saw the Prophet praying in a single garment with a separation between its two ends."

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his leather slippers (when doing wudoo’). (Using translation from Aḥmad 216)

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُعَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in his sandals.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي نَعْلَيْهِ.

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in a pair of patched sandals.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَيْنِ.

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his right hand over his left in prayer.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ.

Wa’il b.Hujr said that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raise his hands when he uttered the takbir (Allah is most great). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 725)

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ مَعَ التَّكْبِيرِ

[AI] Yes, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing sandals, then he performed ablution and wiped over his socks.

نَعَمْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] And he said, "So did the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ."

وَقَالَ كَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, so he mentioned something similar to it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ eating chicken.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ دَجَاجًا

[AI] I saw the sandals of your Prophet ﷺ worn out.

رَأَيْتُ نَعْلَ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ مَخْصُوفَةً

The Prophet ﷺ led them in prayer during an eclipse of the sun, and we did not hear him say anything. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1495)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي كُسُوفٍ فَلَمْ يُسْمَعْ لَهُ صَوْتٌ

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is like him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I saw on the foot of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a worn-out sandal.

رَأَيْتُ فِي رِجْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَعْلًا مَخْصُوفَةً

[AI] "He saw on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a pair of worn-out sandals."

أَنَّهُ رَأَى عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَتَيْنِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prayed in the caravans."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed prayer in the house.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْبَيْتِ

[AI] The translation of the given passage into English is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in the Kaaba."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي الْكَعْبَةِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the likes of it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مِثْلَهُ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَعَلَى الْخِمَارِ يَعْنِي الْعِمَامَةَ

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْقِدُ التَّسْبِيحَ بِيَدِهِ»

[AI] "I saw the messenger of Allah ﷺ praying like this."

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي كَذَلِكَ»

[AI] "Allow me to wear my sandals so that he may wear them and pray in them, saying, 'I have seen the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , praying in my sandals.'"

نَاوِلْنِي نَعْلِي فَيَنْتَعِلُ وَيُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ»

[AI] "I saw my father wiping over his shoes, so I said, 'Do I wipe over them too?' He replied, 'I saw the Prophet doing it.'"

رَأَيْتُ أَبِي «يَمْسَحُ عَلَى النَّعْلَيْنِ» فَقُلْتُ أَتَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهَا؟ فَقَالَ «رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ»

[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his sandals."

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ»

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ prayed in his sandals."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي نَعْلَيْهِ»

[AI] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying in his sandals."

«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ»
