[Machine] He heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "I would rather sit in a gathering like this one than to free four slaves." Shu'bah said, "I asked, 'Which gathering do you mean?' He said, 'A gathering of storytelling.'"
6.178 [Machine] The Fort of Banu Sinaan, about the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] I was told by someone from the people of Basra, among them was Al-Hasan, from Ma'qil bin Sinan Al-Ashja'i, that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me while I was observing ihtikaam (voluntary isolation) for eighteen nights that had passed from the month of Ramadan. He (the Prophet) said: "The one observing ihtikaam has broken the fast for both himself and the one he is observing ihtikaam with."
6.179 [Machine] Amr bin Salamah, about the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] The caravans used to come to us from the direction of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so we would sit with them and they would inform us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let the one of you who knows the most Quran lead you in prayer."
6.180 [Machine] Some companions of the Prophet (PBUH)
AbuBakr ibn AbdurRahman reported on the authority of a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ: I saw the Prophet ﷺ commanding the people while he was travelling on the occasion of the conquest of Mecca not to observe fast. He said: Be strong for your enemy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted himself. Narrated AbuBakr: A man who narrated his tradition to me said: I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in al-Arj pouring water over his head while he was fasting, either because of thirst or because of heat. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2365)
6.181 [Machine] A man who was not named, about the Prophet ﷺ
[Machine] "He came to Basra, and with him was Abdullah Ibn Abbas as a leader. Then, he saw a man standing in the shade of the palace, saying 'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth, Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.' I approached him and said, 'You have repeated your statement that Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.' He replied, 'By Allah, if you wish, I can tell you.' I said, 'Yes.' So he said, 'Then sit down.' He said, 'I met the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , while he was in the city at such and such a time, and there were two elders of the village who had a son. The son left, and they followed him, saying, 'You are going to the city, and our son has followe dthis man. Go to him and ask for him, and if he refuses anything but a ransom, then redeem him.' So I went to the city and entered upon the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , and said, 'O Prophet of Allah, two elders of the village have ordered me to seek their son from you.' He asked, 'Do you know him?' I replied, 'I know his lineage.' So he called the boy and he came. The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'He is here, so go and bring his parents.' I said, 'As a ransom, O Prophet of Allah?' He said, 'It is not appropriate for us, the family of Muhammad, to eat the ransom of the children of Isma'il.' Then he struck my shoulder and said, 'Should I not fear for the Quraysh except themselves?' I asked, 'What about them, O Prophet of Allah?' He said, 'If you live long enough, you will see them here, until you see the people crowded among them like sheep between two water troughs, moving from one to the other. I see people seeking permission to see Ibn Abbas, and I have seen them last year seeking permission to see Muawiyah. So I mentioned what the Prophet ﷺ had said."

6.182 [Machine] My father is Amr ibn Hafs ibn Al-Mughirah.
[Machine] Rather, Allah divides it, and I will start with the family of the Prophet, ﷺ , then I will honor them. He (the Prophet) imposed upon the wives of the Prophet ten thousand (dirhams) except Juwayriyah, Safiyah, and Maimunah. Aisha said, "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to treat us equally but he treated Umar equally with us." Then he said, "I will start with my Muhajirin companions, for we were expelled from our homeland unjustly and aggressively, then I will honor them. He then imposed upon the companions of Badr among them five thousand (dirhams), and for those who participated in Uhud, three thousand (dirhams). He said, 'Whoever migrates first will be the first to receive, and whoever lags behind in migration, his reward will lag behind him. No one should blame a man except for his departing caravan. And I apologize to you for Khalid bin Al-Waleed, for I ordered him to keep this wealth for the weak among the Muhajireen, but he gave it to the strong, the honorable, and the eloquent. So, I took it from him and ordered Abu Ubaidah bin al-Jarrah. Abu Amr bin Hafs bin al-Mughirah said, 'By Allah, O Umar bin al-Khattab, you do not deserve an excuse. You have taken away from a worker whom the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , employed. You sheathed a sword which the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , granted as a gift. And you have raised a banner which the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , placed. And indeed, you have severed ties of kinship and envied your cousin.' Umar bin al-Khattab said, 'You are close to me in kinship, but your words are an ire from your teeth, O cousin of yours.'"

Receive my teachings, receive my teachings. Allah has appointed a way for those women. If the parties have been married, they shall receive a hundred lashes and stoned to death. If the parties are unmarried, they shall receive a hundred lashes and banished for a year. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4415)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a man who has intercourse with his wife's slave-girl. He said, "If he dislikes her, then she is a free woman and she has the same right over him as she had over him. And if he is pleased with her, then she is his slave-girl and she has the same right over him as she had over him."

[Machine] When the verse "And warn your closest relatives" [Surah Ash-Shu'ara, 214] was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he went to a valley in a mountain, climbed to its highest point, and called out, or he said, "O family of 'Abd Manaf, I am a warner warning you. Indeed, my example and your example are like that of a man who sees the enemy and rushes to protect his family, shouting or calling out, 'O morning!'".
[Machine] "He (the narrator) heard the Prophet ﷺ mentioning 'Al-'iyafa' and 'At-Tiyara' and 'At-Tarq' from gypsum. He said, 'Al-'iyafa' is from the sound of sneezing, and 'At-Tarq' is from writing."
[Machine] I carried a load and came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to ask him about it. He said, "We will bear it on your behalf and take it out from the blessings of charity." He also said, "Sometimes we will take it out when charity comes to us or when blessings of charity come." He said, "O Qabeesah, seeking is not permissible." He also said, "Except for three types: a man who carries a load, and his seeking is fulfilled until he has paid it off, and then he refrains; a man who experiences a need or poverty, and three people from his tribe testify for him; a man who experiences a need or poverty, and three people from his tribe testify for him or speak on his behalf." He said, "Except when a person is in need or poverty, and three people from his tribe testify for him or speak on his behalf, then his seeking is fulfilled. He continues to seek until he attains a sufficient livelihood or a complete livelihood, and then he refrains." He also said, "And nothing besides that is permissible regarding seeking."

[Machine] A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have an end?" He (the Prophet) said, "No, as long as there are people (meaning the people of the House of the Prophet)."
And in another place, he said, "Yes, whenever Allah intends good for the people of any Arab or non-Arab household, He guides them to Islam." The man asked, "What happens after that?" He (the Prophet) said, "Then there will be trials and tribulations like patches of darkness." The man asked, "Will there be a way out from them?" He (the Prophet) said, "Yes, by Allah, if Allah wills." The man asked, "Do they return to the same situation of discord?" He (the Prophet) said, "Yes, and I swear by the one who has my life in His hand, they will become even more divided amongst themselves."

[Machine] An Arab man said: "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have an end?" He (the Prophet) replied: "Yes, whoever from the Arab or non-Arab people that Allah desires good for, He will enter them into Islam." The Arab man asked: "And then what, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet replied: "Then tribulations will occur, like layers of darkness." The Arab man said: "No, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, and by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you will surely witness harshness among yourselves."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to a Bedouin and he said, "O Messenger of Allah, does this matter have a limit?" He said, "Yes, whoever desires good for Allah with it, whether he is a non-Arab or Arab, Allah will enter him upon them. Then, trials will occur like layers of darkness, in which you will return to the darkness of spears, striking each other's necks. And the best people on that day are a believing Mu'tazilite in a mountain of mountains who fears his Lord, blessed and exalted, and keeps away from the people due to their evil."

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon to the people in Mina while he was riding on a mule, and he was wearing a red cloak. A man from the people of Badr was standing in front of him, expressing himself. I came close until I reached my hand between his leg and the saddle. I said, "I have never seen a cloak more beautiful than this."

from his father: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a Khutbah one day and said: 'Indeed there is a man whose Lord has given him the choice between living in this life as long as he wishes to live, and eating from this life as much as he wishes to eat, and between meeting his Lord.'" He said: "So Abu Bakr cried. The Companions of the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Are you not amazed at this old man, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned a righteous man whose Lord gave him the choice between this life or meeting his Lord, and he chose meeting his Lord.'" He said: "But Abu Bakr was the most knowledgeable one of them regarding what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said. So Abu Bakr said: 'Rather we will ransom our fathers and wealth for you.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no one among people more beneficial to us (Amanna Ilaina) in his companionship, or generous with his wealth than Ibn Abi Quhafah. And, if I were to take a Khalil, I would have taken Ibn Abi Quhafah as a Khalil. But rather love and the brotherhood of faith' - saying that two or three times - 'Indeed your companion is the Khalil of Allah.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3659)

But she died during the pre-Islamic era. Will that benefit her in any way?' He said, 'No.' We then asked, 'She used to be kind to our sister during the pre-Islamic era. 6.193 [Machine] Sorry, but I don't know what "اللجلاج" means in English. It could be a misspelling or a word in a different language.
[Machine] He said, "While we were in the market, a woman carrying a baby passed by, and people became frantic and pushed each other, and I followed them until I reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was asking her, 'Who is the father of this child?' She remained silent. He asked again, 'Who is the father of this child?' She remained silent once more. Then, a young man with sandals on his feet said, 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed she is a young girl, recently married, and she will not inform you. I am her father, O Messenger of Allah.' The Prophet ﷺ turned to those present, as if he was asking them, and they said, 'We only know goodness or something similar.' So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'Have you been chaste?' He said, 'Yes.' So, he commanded that he be stoned. We went with him and dug his grave until it reached his chest, and we stoned him with rocks until he calmed down. Then, we returned to our gatherings. While we were sitting like that, a man came asking about the young man, so we stood up and took hold of him and brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, this man has come asking about the wicked one.' He said, 'What is it with him? His fragrance with Allah is more pleasant than musk.' He said, 'So, we went with him and helped him with his bathing, shrouding, and burial. I do not know if he mentioned the prayer or not.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ commanded that a neighbor should not prevent his neighbor from fixing a plank in his wall. So the person who took an oath said, "O my brother! I have recognized that it is your right, and I have already taken an oath, so allow me to put a cylinder near my wall." So the other person did as he was asked and fixed a plank in the cylinder. Ibn Juraij said: 'Amr (bin Dinar) said, "I myself saw that."

[Machine] He informed him that two brothers from the Banu Al-Mughira, and one of them had emancipated the other, that he should not hammer a nail into his wall. They met Mujaammi ibn Yazid Al-Ansari and many men, and they said, "We testify that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A neighbor should not prevent his neighbor from hammering a nail into his wall.'" The one taking an oath said, "O my brother, I knew that you would have a judgment against me, and I had taken an oath, so make a cylinder below my wall." So the other person hammered a nail into the cylinder, and Umar said to me, "And I looked at that."

6.202 [Machine] Ibn Al-Rassim, about his father
[Machine] "He said, and we visited the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and he prohibited us from using the utensils. Then we came to him and said, 'Indeed, our land is a barren land.' He said, 'Then drink whatever you want, whoever wishes or he can pour his drink on an unlawful action.'"
[Machine] "My father was among the delegation that went to visit the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the Banu Qays tribe. He forbade them from using these containers. So, we hesitated and then visited him the following year. We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you forbade us from using these containers, so we hesitated.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Adhere to what seems best to you and do not drink intoxicants. Whoever wishes may fulfill his thirst, but on his own sin.'"
