[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever fasts a day for the sake of Allah, Allah will distance him between him and the Fire by that day, a distance of seventy autumns." Abu Abdur-Rahman said, "This is an error. We do not know anyone who followed Abu Mu'awiyah on this chain of narration."

Every servant of Allah who observes fast for a day in the way of Allah, Allah would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years' distance. (Using translation from Muslim 1153a)
I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Indeed, anyone who fasts for one day for Allah's Pleasure, Allah will keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2840)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever fasts for one day in the way of Allah, Allah will distance the Hellfire from his face by a distance of seventy years." Abu Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman narrated to us, and he is called the servant of Abu Bakr bin Abdul Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham Al-Madani. Malik narrated from him, and Yahya bin Saeed Al-Qattan Al-Qa'qa bin Hakeem said, "He is more beloved to me than Sumay." Abu Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman said, "Both of them are trustworthy in my view, and Sumay is more beloved to us than Suhail bin Abi Salih."

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'It is not righteousness to fast when traveling."' (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasai) said: This is a mistake, and what is correct is the one that is before it. We do not know of anyone who followed up Ibn Kathir. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2256)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man who was sitting in the shade of a tree and water was being sprinkled on him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What is the matter with your companion?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, he is fasting." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is not righteousness that you fast while traveling. You should take the permission granted by Allah and accept it." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said, "This is a mistake and Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman did not hear this hadith from Jabir." 2579 Mahmoud ibn Khalid told me that al-Firiyabi said: al-Awza'i narrated to us, who said: Yahya narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, who said: He narrated to me from someone who heard it from Jabir in a similar manner.

The correct version is Mursal." 2585 Imran bin Yazid informed us that Muhammad bin Shuayb told us that Al-Awza'i narrated to him from Yahya that he was told by Abu Salamah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came with a dish of food during Duhr time as a Mursal narration. 2586 Mahmoud bin Khalid informed us that Al-Walid narrated to him from Abu Amr that he was told by Yahya that he was told by Abu Salamah that while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was having lunch with Abu Bakr and Umar with a dish of food during Duhr time, he said, "This is lunch" as a Mursal narration. 2587 Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna informed us that Uthman bin Umar told us that Ali narrated to him from Yahya that he was told by Abu Salamah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Abu Bakr, and Umar were having lunch with a dish of food during Duhr time as a Mursal narration.
