nasai-kubra:2873al-Rabīʿ b. Sulaymān > Yaḥyá b. Ḥassān > Yaḥyá b. Ḥamzah > Yaḥyá b. al-Ḥārith > Abū Asmāʾ al-Raḥabī > Thawbān

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Fasting the month of Ramadan is equivalent to ten months of fasting, and fasting six days of Shawwal is equivalent to two months. That is fasting for a year."

nasai-kubra:2874Maḥmūd b. Khālid > Muḥammad b. Shuʿayb b. Shābūr > Yaḥyá b. al-Ḥārith > Abū Asmāʾ al-Raḥabī

[Machine] On the authority of Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , who said that he heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say: "Allah has made good deeds ten times their worth, up to seven hundred times, except for fasting, which is for Me and I will reward it as I will. There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts: the joy of breaking his fast and the joy of meeting his Lord. The smell from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the scent of musk. The one who fasts has two moments of happiness: one is when he breaks his fast, and the other is when he meets his Lord. Verily, the breath of one who fasts is sweeter in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk."
