[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Fasting the month of Ramadan is equivalent to ten months of fasting, and fasting six days of Shawwal is equivalent to two months. That is fasting for a year."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «صِيَامُ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ بِعَشَرَةِ أَشْهُرٍ وَصِيَامُ سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ بِشَهْرَيْنِ فَذَلِكَ صِيَامُ سَنَةٍ»

that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:* “Allah has made a good deed worth tenfold, so a month counts as ten months, and six days after breaking the fast complete the year.”*

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «جَعَلَ اللهُ الْحَسَنَةَ بِعَشْرٍ فَشَهْرٌ بِعَشَرَةِ أَشْهُرٍ وَسِتَّةُ أَيَّامٍ بَعْدَ الْفِطْرِ تَمَامُ السَّنَةِ».
